Unfortunately, she isn't with the group, Capher. I posted that we went to the animals shelter to be alone, thought you didn't want her to see your shape shifting.

Issa, you mustnot be bored, why don't you look for your own adventure meanwhile, with the dwarves or whatever, or running into the Mage as I proposed already!

Capher it's fine - I just figured even though you'd given Avour back some of herself again, she still used some heavy duty magic and it's wiped her out.. I'll wake her up in my next post in the room, she'll be groggy, but healthy... :)

Don't want to complicate things but is sailing really something one learns when being taught the arcane powers? I know you're both old but you don't look like the type to be bothered with sailing a ship...

Oh, our mage knows sailing only from looking how others do it? Oh dear, at least I have described Baveras now to a certain extent, perhaps I should add a prayer for help soon? LOL
I thought that a lot of hands are needed as well, to do things simulataneously, so only two people to handle such a big ship, is that enough? Talia will surely have two left hands if asked something! You both better hypnotize the dwarves to do it!

Title: Re: OOC VI
Post by: Capher on November 06, 2002, 10:42:22 PM
LOL with Talia.  Actually in real life I know quite a bit about sailing.  And you are right Talia it took many men to sail a ship.  You needed men to hoist the sails, unhoist them, you needed one to always be on the tiller, and a host of other jobs were required.  So I think the best thing, to make it all real, unless magic is the source of our power is to have the dwarves do it.

Koldar I like your idea about forcing the dwarves to do the sailing for us.  Also I think I have come up with another Idea I will explain in the story.

Capher.

I guess I should tell you the secret of the Captains plan. Or should I keep it a surprise.  You guys and gals all tell me.  Should I keep it a secret or tell you?  LOL

Well we should know a few things so we know what to do, and if we are already exposed.

First how do we come in contact with it?

If it is not the food or the drink, then injestion seems to be out of the question. Could it be by contect and exorbtion into the skin? Or possibly inhailed?

What are the initial effects of exposure, if any?

LOL ok, next hint.  It can be absorbed through the skin.

That's all I will say for now.

So do I think. :D

Ahm, Capher? Koldar will be not stupid enough to leave the corridors and come out into the open. The corridors are small enough give a small group some advantages.
My current idea would be to get into the captain's quarters or alternatively  somewhere into the back of the ship to cut the rudder ropes. A good option would be also to blow up the back of the ship with the help of Haj or a small dragon.
There are some other ideas spawning, like the fact that the storage rooms with the drinking waters and the food are usually below deck. :)

how does the ship look like anyway? Anything more likely to reach than something else?

Hmm, I had another idea, just to confuse you all a bit (could be from Avour, LOL),don't know if it works with the dwarves alert now, lets see.

Title: Re: OOC VI
Post by: Capher on November 19, 2002, 01:42:22 AM
Yep, they poisoned the silverware.  I guess I am not that good as I thought I was.

Koldar. Your ideas are exactly what I was thinking, actually more along the lines of somehow getting out the portholes and climbing up on the outside of the ship.  As far as the other ideas you had, they are good.

The Captain does not see that as an option, as he would never consider that you would destroy his ship.  Why? would he?  He does not know that any of you know how to sail, were out in the middle of the ocean.  So that idea never crosses his mind.  If you destroy the rudder ropes as you have suggested, then how are we to steer the boat once we have taken it over, or better yet force the Captain to take us to Milkengrad?

Just some thoughts for you to mull over.  Try and think of some old pirate movies you may have watched.  That is how this ship is built.  There are about a dozen men still down there waiting for you.  You all can do what you wish with them.  As far as the ones on the topside, same thing, except the Captain.  If you attack him, then you must let me answer for him. OK?

Talia, what was your idea of using Avour?  I would like to hear it.  Also Talia I am afraid you will have to edit your post.  There is no way you could have seen the Captain, he is top, you are bottom and the door to the top has been secured.  The cook on the other hand you could see and talk to.  Sorry.

Capher.

Would Capher Shift forms to Fight? Or is he skilled in Hand to hand combat?

What do you think Issa would do?

Im at a loss... The way ive been playing Issa tells me she would strike... Dunno though.

Title: Re: OOC VI
Post by: Capher on November 19, 2002, 01:54:22 AM
Good question Issa, Capher would be hesitant to change forms to fight, for he would think changing forms would make him more vulnerable to the enemy within his mind.  So I am not sure.

As far as Issa, that is up to what your character would do.  If she would change form to fight, then do so.  That is up to you.  I would not think she would change to a dragon though.  She might change to anyother thing, or she could use plain pure magic, magic that would even startle Haj, since Dragon Magic is the most powerful magic of all.  But again dragon magic is only as powerful as the will and mind of the user.  You have to remember that as well.  So just have fun!!!.

Capher.

Title: Re: OOC VI

No idea what Avour should do, I just wanted to have her save and asked The both of our group to watch her. And I'm afraid I still don't  know how the ship is build. I didn't think that  we are locked down, just that staircases leading further down are closed. And where is the kitchen? Thought it is upstairs as well and not in the ships belly. With the fire this would be quite dangerous. And why post archers in the crows nest, if the doors to the upper level are closed anyway?I thought the way up is free, just not the way down.

You want an "adventure" care of Avour???

Perhaps the sudden and over usage of Avour's powers, and THEN the givnig back of her life force from / via Capher.... I guess at the same time.... Surely that would clash in some way! ??

If you want Avour to create a fuss, she could suddenly have Caphers ability to shape shift! lolz Then using Haj and Capher (perhaps Issa as well) to change Avour back if she cant....

Having a confused Avour in the shape of an animal would surely cause a fuss - could also get Issa thinking that she and Avour are related in some way! hahaha

Talia, the reason the archers are up in the crows nest is just in case somehow we break through.  Then we would have a gauntlet of arrows to fight through.  The galley was always below decks on any ship.

Ermm... Capher...? We don't know of Koldar's plan yet. He was telling it to Terra in the girl's room whilst we were still in the men's.... technically, we don't know what the plan is yet... and I doubt their voices would have been loud enough that we would have heard it through two rooms on a rocking ship.

OK, I was wondering how others pictured the ruder mechenisum of this ship.

The way I see it, the ropes from the wheel go down through the decks and then though a series of pullies to give some measure of mechanical advantage, and direct the ropes so they can pull the rudder most effiently.

So basically a rope is looped around a upply attached to the wheel. This them makes two rope leads that run down through the deck to the rudder room. Now in the rudder room I see a compound pully system. Each lead goes though a pully fixed to a beam, then runs horizontally to another pully that is supended by tention, them back though another pully (Fixed eather to the same beam as the first or mounted in a frame with the it.), then the rope lead runs back to the second pully and is fixed to it. This second pully is then fixed to another length of rope that runs out to the rudder. This set up would be the same for both leads and would server to pull the rudder in one direction or the other.

Talia is in the kitchen, so if you need some of my "water", Avour, you have to go there. Maybe this would be a relatively save place for you anyway.

@all! To tell it a bit clearer: If the dwarves eat their vegetable soup, they will get after an hour  - or when ever it fits for you - the most terrible diarrhea (imagine a clyster) in their life with cramps that they will think they have to die immediately. And they will be weak like little kittens after it is over.It is not deadly though.Just a bit SMELLY.
So it is up to you Capher, if the cook feeds the staff with his soup...could help you out when it gets dense.

Talia I think Issa was talking to me.  It is fine Issa, it put a twist on the plot I had not thought of.  There are approximately 80 dwarves on the ship Koldar.:lol   Koldar needs something to do.

Terra tear them up after Haj, blows open the doors.  Or you guy climb up the outside of the ship.  The ship is yours and the crew do as you will.  Capher will be incapcitated fighting that enemy within.

Koldar, we are not in any room, we are still making our way to the rudder room. Should our next posts reflect your outcome for some plot developement, or should we continue as we are?

If the latter your post will need to change. I expect Terra and Haj will reach the rudder room in the next few posts.

I'm not sure but imo we lost track of our situation onboard this ship. We have 80 dwarves who have the order to kill or capture us, a dead captain who might've stopped them, two ladies running through the ship without problems while the rest is attacked freely. That doesn't sound very consistent to me, more confusing.

Also how is this situation to solve? Should we slaughter 80 dwarves? How do we make them cooperate with us?
Currently there are only a bunch of ideas floating around but none of them would solve the problem of how to make the dwarves cooperate when their first in command is dead and we are the ones who did it?

I for my part am against swimming for that matter...

Just my impression when reading through the various posts.

Koldar same dilema here.  I have been thinking about it, however and I may have come up with a solution.  The second in command would put a stop to all of this.  All you have to do is get to him.  Preferably keep him alive and he will order the men to drop their arms.  Besides with Capher shape shifting all over the place, and Issa's little poisoned rear,:p   And Terra, you and Haj wiping up the decks with them.  I think they are ready to cooperate.

The second in command will go back into the Captains cabin find him dead and that is where you can get him.  Climb up the outside of the ship, slip into his cabin, and capture him.  Koldar preferably to do this, while Haj and Terra contine with the others.  Don't forget Avour must discover her hidden talent of magic during this encounter.  If she can, if not then maybe she will in Milkengrad.

Talia, your sword skills must be put in use somehow as well.

Anyway just some thoughts.  We have to do something.

Capher.

Title: Re: OOC VI/Merry Christmas
Post by: Ta'lia of the Seven Jewels on December 28, 2002, 08:06:22 AM
Had an idea how to force the dwarves to do what we want - if only enough of them eat this soup. Haj could tell them, that he has put a curse on them and only he could remove it - and he could threaten, that he could do it again. That would keep them quiet with a reason.

Koldar, Talia went to the kitchen unharmed before all the fights began, now it wouldn't be possible.

I'm totally unsure where what is on the ship. First I thought, I can't reach the captain, because his cabin is on deck and the doors leading there closed, now Issa is going from the captains cabin upstairs  and outside without effort???

Talia Whos side are you on anyway!? LOL :)

I am sure once news of the captians passing reaches the cook, there will be no reason for him to hold back. ;)

Koldar any suggestions on what to do now, since we are all together?

Hi all, I'm kind of interested in joining this story, if at all possible.  I realize you're on a boat now, which makes it difficult, but it's a little trying to find a moving game right now.

If you're full, that's cool.
If a new character can't just appear on the ship (Like a previous captive?  Although, I'm not sure why they would capture *me*) without causing too much trouble, that's cool too.

Then again, maybe I'll just wait 'til the boat lands, if there's an opening.

At any rate, it's a pretty exciting story thus far and keep up the good work!

@all: I'm still standing at the top of the stairs and can't decide if I should go down or not. Talia, just keep on coming down.  We will meet each other.  The dwarves are so scared right now they are cowering.

Catchfire.  Tell me how you could fit in.  If you have read the story then you should have some idea how your character could or could not fit in.  If you give me, I should say us, good enough reason then I suppose we could meet you in Milkengrad.  That is our next destination.

Players- after Catchfire gives us some ideas it is up to you all.  I am sorry if it sounded like I was the only one who could join or not.

A question: I didn't look for it on the site, but are dragons, well, these rare shapeshifting dragons(only Capher and Issa do exist??) the only creatures to shapeshift? Is this a common knowledge? We know all since the Bium episode, that Capher is able to shapeshift - do we know, that only dragons can do this?

:lol   Talia, no imagine.  That is what I try to do, so if your heart beats faster and you really saw in your minds eye the Chasm demon comming then I did my job as a writer.  For the past several months now I have been trying to improve my writing.  Even my Wizard of the White Tower I am rewriting.  I saw so many holes, plot slips, not enough description of the world in which the story takes place in, ect.

Shapeshifting dragons I believe are the only sentinent beings that can shapeshift, however I may be wrong.  And yes they are very rare.  The rarest being ones who seek after wisdom and not jewels, Capher seeks wisdom, which is one of the reasons Seyella chose him to be the Wizards mentor and then helper.

Issa, I don't think you should go wandering back to your cabin. There are still dwarves about.

Haj, waiting for your reaction and light.

Say, Where did everyone go?  The only one's are myself and Talia who seem to be rping.  Is school becoming that hard, I suppose Mid-Terms are coming up or are they over with?  Anyway, I would like to get this story moving along.

Talia-did I do a good enough job describing what was happening to the dwarves?

Yes, Issa told Koldar, but Koldar is a bit impatient at the moment and does not know how to value that information anyway. He just wants to keep moving.

Don't know where Issa is, IC I'd presume she is with us.

There was a message from Sammy, who played Issa, that she was not going to rp anymore on this board.  I think she became bored.  I am not sure.  Anyway if I am wrong, please forgive me Sammy.  But I think we should play as if she went her own way, or something.  She can always appear later if she so desires.

Sammy, how did you get captured?  The last time I recall you skittered off to your cabin.  As a shapeshifter, I would think there weuld be nothing to hinder you from escaping, unless you were under guard or watch.

Question #2 Where are you being held?  On top of the ship, or in its lower bowels?

Capher.

Title: Re: Umm...
Post by: Sammykins on March 25, 2003, 03:00:22 AM

What I was thinking is that She was on her
way to her cabin and got hit over the head and
knocked out, and then taken UP to the top of
the ship and are holding her "hostage."

That way I could get her back involved in the plot
without doing something psycho or out of left
field.

Issa, may I suggest you drop the backgound on your posts, may just be my cold but its a little dificault to read.

I am also concurned about the viability of RPing the character as it is being played right now. I mean Issa does not interact with other characters, vary often she runs off without a side plot planned for her, at least to our knowlage, then you complain that you are board and there is nothing for your character to do.

To be quite honest if I were in Issas place I would try to figure out just what the characters that sence a connection actually know, or will let on they know.

Title: Re: Here...
Post by: Koldar Mondrakken on April 25, 2003, 12:26:22 AM
Okay, I know that might be a bit too radical and I definetely do not mean this personal, but I'd say one solution would be that Capher looses his fight against his dark personality and turns against us and leaves.

The group ends up in some nearby port and has to figure out what to do now without Capher...

I love extremes, so I'd even destroy the ship upon Capher's departure...

Don't know if we should make a little jump in time and proceed from the port or if we should play it out with Capher in our neck and the dwarves ahead of us...

Well. at least the solutioon with Capher turning evil sounds reasonable to me...

btw: Who has Thalambath' heart?

Title: Re: Here...
Post by: Ashen Gryphon on April 25, 2003, 12:38:22 AM
Not sure... If Issabelle would still fit in... The whole point more or less was for Capher to find family and yada yada...

The only way I see anything possibly being useful with Issabelle still is the "thickness" in the air between her and Koldar, that I at least thought was there, and the fact that Koldar Is somewhat with.... Uh....

Talia?

I think... Something along those lines...

Also <if> Capher was killed Issabelle MAY feel it.... and know the truth of it... May affect her somehow... And the others may know?

I dunno.

~shrugs~

Title: Re: Here...
Post by: Koldar Mondrakken on April 25, 2003, 08:16:22 AM
Didn't mean to kill him but overtaken by his evil side and flee possibly taking Thalambath Heart with him. Not sure about the other stuff though.

I guess when we proceed and somehow come to the conclusion that Capher's cause is now our own our next goal would be the Wizard of the White Tower?

I thought Avour had the heart.. along with all the other "shiney" rocks in her little pouch..

Capher's dark side taking him over and him perhaps recoiling to the wizard would be another... Issa could see this / sence the massive transformation and decline an offer to continue with them -> allowing her / your char to head after capher / you you exit the story..

As to us continuing with the story or not - lets look at "what" where doing and "why" were doing it - to be honest, I've no real idea, other than get some "heart" stone, and take it some place. I've never really worried about not knowing, since Avour wouldn't totally understand anyway - she's here for an adventure, which she's had.. And would quite easily settle down with Talia... :D

thats my throughts anyways....

Likewise, Terra only agreed to go as far as Milkengrad, if Capher were to just take off there would be no reason for her to go any further. Her contract, though verbal would be void.

Hi, I'm back, sorry for not telling you I was about to go away for some times..it gets always so hectic before departing.

Though the posting was a bit slow in the last time (mine as well) I would like to continue, it is a good story.
And about Capher: I first thought, that we would have to carry him along as a smaller being and bring him to the Wwizard in the white tower. But the idea, that he is overwhelmed by his dark side is even better. We all could flee him- and we could ask Issa to help us, that would give a reason that you join the group (though Talia will be jealous and will have even more problems with her feelings she has not yet admitted to herself, lol). The threat Capher is for us(he could follow us) could force us to look for help in the white tower - and we know, that the heart should be brought there, do we? And I think this would be a reason for Terra to go there as well, even if her treaty has ended? Wasn#t the treaty to bring the heart to the white tower?

By the way, I'm not sure about Capher, he MIGHT come back.
I'm   thinking about what or how I could write Laurie.I'm still upset how she misuses Caphers believes in Jesus to seperate him from what he loves(writing fantasy). She uses it just as a TOOL for her purposes, misregarding the freedom which is possible as well. I'm so angry about that.

Title: Re: Sounds fine to me...
Post by: Koldar Mondrakken on April 28, 2003, 03:22:22 AM
Well, when he comes back I'd think that it would be the opportunity to free him from the evil spirit that takes possession of him. It would be a good way to explain his disappearance for now without writing him out completely which I'd prefer.

One question: Who has the Heart? Avour or Capher?

I'd also rather continue the story instead of abandoning it.

An idea to integrate Issa: She is the only one with comparable powers so maybe she is the only one to protect us from Capher. And with his powers reveal she might know what and who he is and might be willing to accompany us to free him from his evil spirit?

Title: Re: Sounds fine to me...
Post by: Terra Artemos on April 28, 2003, 03:36:22 AM
To tell you the truth, I would rather continue, at least for a while too. I may end up having a problem jugling three stories as once. Though the order should not be a problem, with Thalambath's Heart happening first, if possible, Plains of Blood and Nyermersys, though I realise for Terra this may be a temperal paradox.

~blinks~ I dont remember ever wanting to Exit the story??

I like both Koldar and talia's Ideas... Im up for more or less anything. Doesnt matter.

If Issa remains in the picture... Talia though MAY be forced to admit to her feelings or loose Koldar... Lol... This could be a way for Talia to come to grips with her feelings or whatever.

Not that I ooc want to steel Koldar, just saying for IC purposes, That could be a good way to make talia do whatever.

As for getting Cappy back... Im not going to say anything about my feelings about the whole ordeal. Like I said... cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all. Of course Im not mad at cappy at all, a little disappointed maybe, but not mad... not at him. If anyone wants to know my feelings about it, they can ask me. Im not going to flame his wife or anything over the MB. its not needed.

As most seem for continueing the story I guess we should agree how we should do so? It seems Capher being overwhelmed by evil is a good idea but should we play it, will a fight occur or will he just leave?

Title: Re: Sounds fine to me...
Post by: Mortus Pryde on April 30, 2003, 12:04:22 PM
Perhaps you could just post a fast forward to the affect of, Cahper wigging out and shape changing into the deamon thing again in front of the first mate, then takes off breaking his way to below decks. The first mate meanwhile is pushed over the edge and agrees to give us whatever we want. After which we have him send seach parties below decks to find Capher but find no traces of him. Then we make land fall and pick up from there.

Ok, I hope everything is okay. I jumped us to Chylikis. I'd think that we should be somehow forced to travel north by horse but we can discuss this IC. Don't wonder too much about the first encounter, I just thought with Capher gone and with Thalambath Heart in our hands things can get as well even more interesting from here.
If you have any proposal I'm eager to hear them.

One question that gets a bit of a bad habit in this story: Should we see if we can attract some more players or stay in this smaller circle?

Personally, I think a no to attempting to attract more players, and if we do, not many and only those people whom we know will stay around. No offense to the newcomers now-a-days, but most stories aren't lasting very long with those kind of people. o.o

This smaller circle is much more likely to have no problems in continuing the story... it's been going on long enough to see that.

Just my opinion on the matter.

Don't look at Hajarian's bio. It's completely wrong and stuff, and desperately needs a complete re-haul. Right now his history is just gobbley goop in my head that has not been written down. ;)

Note to self: Re-do Harry's bio.

But you were right about who it is, however she does not have any sort of ties to Haj. I can go and pull up a link to her updated bio, but it's quite long, some 8 pages or something. *blinks*

I do have some ideas for her entry, but still unsure. :)

Well, there was someone turning Capher evil so I suppose. ;)  I hoped that maybe Avour, Talia or someone else would have some clues about it.

You mean your Rein char joining dunno? If you can handle two chars I see nothing against it.

Title: Re: OOC VI
Post by: Ta'lia of the Seven Jewels on July 21, 2003, 10:56:22 PM
I'm afraid we have to make up our evil force for ourselves. I thought always, Capher intended it to be something not very material, but more acting hidden and using others, lets think of a kind of Voldemort. something who/which would use Demons and so on, or humans or elves who are acting maybe even against their own will to help this evil force. as we go on, we have to think about something more precise though. Maybe ever now and then  one of us thinks of something/body  which could attack us and firce us to go on and deliver this heart.

I would not mind having one or two more persons to join us. I have a close friend in Sorren, whom I would like to persuade to join us. She knows very well to write, but she doesn't have a char of course, well, I have to persuade her first, lol. Maybe I write even to my old Utopian friend, who made my sword. What do you think?Maybe they even find their way to Santharia then?

Not really, but having an human warrior already, I don't know. And it would require a lot of reading from your side, the story is long! How would you propose to enter the story - and why should the group take you with them?

***Astropic of the day***

Title: Re: OOC VI
Post by: Terra Artemos on July 25, 2003, 11:17:22 AM
Umm... Talia, we have two. Unless you meant Human Male Warrior, then we have only one of those. ;)

My oppinion is as Talia stated. We have a few warriors already, and we are looking to keep the group small and dedicated.

If you still really wish to join, I would also suggest you start reading up, and figure out a proposal on how you enter the story and why the group should except you, again as Talia stated.

I am obviously not one for flatly turning things down without allowing the marrit of them to be shown.

Koldar;  If you read the synopsis of the story under Heart you will kind of get an idea of what the plot is.  To recap, you now have the heart, now you must travel to the Tandala mountains, I think that is what they are called, and find Kuriks Anvil, upon that Anvil is where the Sword of Justice will be forged; The Sword of Justice, just an idea I had, was going to be forged by merging the heart as a center cross piece with Talia's sword, using very powerful magic to do the fusing.  Originally I was going to use Capher's magic to do the fusing, but now I think Haj's magic will do.  After the sword is fused and made you then travel to the White Tower, where you will rescue the Wizard from his arch-enemy the spirit of... blast I cannot remember his name... He was the one who controlled Tak'dinal during the War of the Chosen.  I guess you will have to look up the info.

Now along the way to find Kurik's anvil, and to the Wizard, you meet and must defeat all kinds of terrors and apparitions that the spirit throws at you as well as those who defend those precious artifacts.  I leave those terrors and caverns and descrips up to you.  I have great faith in you all.

Avour- Alas, though I would most dearly love to come back.  At this moment all I can do is just keep an eye on you all.  My current situation is stable and I wish it to keep it that way.

I miss you all... terribly... More than I could ever express...

I just had an idea, since you have decided that Capher's has succumbed to the evil part of his nature.  The last enemy you will face will be him. You must decide if you kill him, or if the Sword of Justice will help him regain his sanity.  After that with the Wizard's help you all must destroy Tak'dinal for good, for ever so that no ashes can be risen again by the places evil magical powers.

Sword of Justice:  What is it? How does it work?  I can already hear the questions.  Answer: I don't know.  I had some ideas, using the properties of the Heart and Talia's sword along with Capher's magic.  But now that has changed, Capher's magic that is.  Maybe Haj can think of the most powerful magical ability he has, and that all three of those combined give the sword powers that can help defeat Capher himself or at least return him to his old self and finally to help defeat Tak'dinal.  I guess that will be up to you.

Time after time, when I can get to a library I will look in on you and see how you are progressing.  I am at a library now.  I have no computer at home anymore.  Library time is very limited.  And I have a difficult time getting here.  If it were not for a friend of mine willing to drive me here these last couple of times I would not have been able to even say hi.

I hope I have been of some help.

Capher.

Well, we'll see. I really think these knights won't be much of a problem when I introduce the guy who is after Talia and Avour! ;)

I thought to introduce a sweet, handsome guy who might turn out to be a Mhorashty or a Mystran or something as evil who will be after us and the Heart.

eeep... help!;)

Terra, just if you show up, I was thinking of two fullfledged knights here who are both at least 300 years old and know some mean elven tricks if you know what I mean. Just that none could claim I wouldn't have warned you! ;)

I'm so busy currently, sorry for not posting, but I will do it soon, I'm really interested in carrying it on.
Should we look for new players?I would like to ask two of my Sorren friends whom I miss (I'm not playing anymore) to join us. I don't know, how good Kendall is writing, but Donna is certainly top!

NP, we are sort of stalled since Koldar has not posted in a while. I see him on the ICQ network quite often, and think I have his e-mail as well. I will ask if he wants me to move us along, or if he will be back soon.

I was concidering possibly bringing in a few more players. If you have some possibly lined up, then that is good too. Well just as long as they don't want to be fighters, especially both of them, then the plot will get a little old too fast.

I will try to get to posting as soon as possible.

Talia, I can talk to Avour and ask her if you wish... I'm sure she'd want to continue... but the inactiveness has pretty much stopped her from visiting here at all.

And me... I'm trying to ease my way back to Santharia... RL pretty much succeeded in taking me away.. I might be dropping Haj from this story.. 'cause I seem to have lost interest in RPing him. If I do, I'd probably jump in with a new char somehow.. but unsure of what I'm going to be doing. *blinks*

Hey, don't drop Haj! Now that Talia is just used to him a bit.{Why do you want to drop him? You will never get a mage with such a high level through again!!)

I will write to avour - it doesn't if you do it at well ;) , and I will contact my other friends now via email. I used to be on MSN with them, but my screwed comp doesn't allow this in the moment.

Koldar is willing to come back as well - I don't want to give up this story, it is too good( a really easy and free one!) - and the oldest here on the board!

OK, I write in an hour!

Well, it all depends on what type of character she is looking for and how indepth she wants to go.

I would personally say start with the character creation stuff, and referancing what she needs from the site. Once we see how the character is forming then those knowladgable in areas in question can guide her to what she needs. Though some research on the dev side could not hurt either.

BTW, the post is great Koldar, and way more than I expected of you. The fact you made it is priceless, and way more than I asked on your behalf. :)

I don't have a problem with you stumbling across us. Terra is in bad shape and I am not sure if Koldar even knows where we are. I am not sure how good Koldar is at navigating a city while running for his life. ;)

If you think meeting up with us is too coincidental, I could always come up with something else to get Talia more involved.

Please keep Haj, it would be a pitty to abandon him!

Dasson, I will see to find our two warriors, but it looks like they /we will need help - and a mage of the caliber of Hajarian is what we need, I assume!

I don't know if I can finish the post now - have to sit around the "adventskranz"  and then visit the Christkindlmarkt. (it is rainy and stormy, but the last chance..

I hope Haj stays too.

Gar has expessed some intrest in joining us. He would have stated it sooner but he thought we were nearing the end of the plot.

We aren't are we?

Anyway I would not mind if we had a little more mage muscle around. We are altimately going after a demon are't we.

As a side note. Has anyone talked to Uragel (SP) lately? I wonder how she is doing and such. Maybe even a little curious if she will be coming back to play with us eventually. Though I would not rush her if she were. Mainly currious about how she is doing, and what she has been up to, and such things she may not mind being shared.

In any case... I've decided I will keep Haj... I may post sometime tomorrow if I can think of anything to post... though for awhile I'm going to be working on the bios for my characters... the revision for Haj's, and the new one I've mentioned.

However, right now I'm busy dling the enormously large patches for EverQuest on this computer (through a 56k I might add *sighs*), and don't feel creative at the moment. ;)

Why does it seem posting has stopped? I would really like to see the story proceed without stalling out. If we do bring in some new blood to liven it up, they may get board if characters that are most involved in driving the plot just stop posting.

If you can't continue your posting for a while, please do let someone know so something else can be arranged to keep the story moving.

I understand Koldar. I just wanted to point out that if any one person can't keep up with the pace of posting, they should let someone know so they can figure out a way to lesson the impact on the story, rather than simply reframing from making IC posts dew to lack of time or whatever. We can always introduce another side plot at that time, or find some other way of trying to maintain the stories activity while any one person is not able to post as much.

Oh, Talia, RE: Your OOC comment. I don't think we have told Haj much more than he was able to observe. We were/are still unsure as to if we could trust him, and wer going to discuss it in the evening/afternoon privatly, and give Haj our answer at supper.

I know, however I cannot guarantee to post every second day at all so I would've to always emphasize to not wait for me at all cost. In this case I also needed to consider what to to do with these knights and I'm slow at thinking you know. ;)

I've decided that they're probably taken by a Mytran, well, one or two. However though Koldar might have his suspicions he only  guesses that the knights are either obsessed or crazed (or both).

@Terra, thanks for the info.

@Koldar, ok I like the storyline you interposed I am still trying to work on how I can get back in.  I have not found where I left.  Or how you all decided I left.  So if any of you could tell me where I was, what condition I was in etc   I would appreciate it.

I somewhat recall I was fighting with a demonic or sorcerous source that was in my head and he was trying to take me over.  I recall the ship but that is all.  I suppose I could read all of the posts over.  Which I think I will do.  Do not want anyone to think I was lazy or something|I

BTW are there going to other players?  Speaking to Gararion and of course Talia.  Does Avour still play?

I would welcome them.

Well Capher, if I remember correctly, and I am not saying I do, you lost it when we made our way up into the captains quarters, where we confronted the first mate. You changed into the Chasum Demon {SP?} form and tried to attack the group a couple of times unsusceffully, held back by somthing unseen, before breaking though the door dissapearing into the bowls of the ship. That is the last anyone knew your were abouts dispite having searched the ship, so it is pretty open ended.

You may still want to look at later posts in the last IC thread, as I am not all that certain of this.

I haven't talked to my friends since Christmas, but mailed them today to come forward.

Maybe you have a look in the Herald, this wandering hobbit carthograph Tint something might be a good addition - if he doesn#t already play elsewhere, he is quite humorous..

Ok, I have added my first post.  I hope it is acceptable.  I am a bit rusty.  BTW is it night where you are.  I wrote my post as if it were day.  I may have to change a few things if it is night or maybe it is the next day.  My idea is that these men will take me to Nehtor's temple for healing and that is where you will meet me.  However I will not know you but you will know me.

If this is acceptable then we can continue.  If not Koldar if this breaks up your storyline somehow then I am flexible and can change anything to fit in.

Thanks,

Capher.

My two friends have responded to my mail and are about to do their chars. Kendall wants to be an elfen thief (no name yet), Donnas name will be Caija Algereth (Caija pronounced Kigh uh). She hasn't decided yet , what she wants to be, any proposal? On her pic she is a blond elfen or human woman.
(Maybe a healer would be great with you both running into dangerous situation every now and then :p )

@Koldar, No I have not recieved any email from you.  As far as my Santharian account, I forgot it.  I know that the email that it was supposed to be sent to is long gone.  Maybe I should just change the email to my new one that may work.  Hey I just thought of something you could just send it to my account center  I will send you a message Koldar and then you can just reply.  Forget it.  It does not work unless you have upgraded your account.  Sorry, just try my email address again allan_1957@hotmail.com

@Talia- As far as your friend who does not know and you suggested a healer.  I was wondering do we have Empath's in Caelereth?  If so she/he would be an interesting mix in things.  If not a healer will do.

BTW What did you think of my first post?  Will it also fit in your plans Koldar?

I was thinking.  Could my Gararion character join, sent here to report Caphers situation back to the Archmagi of Ximax, I myself being a apprentice to the Archmagus of the White tower, though this might not work concerning with Capher.  How was Capher connected to the White tower?

If this don't work, then I will get one of my other chars to join.

Well, possible but Capher is not  serving the Wizard of the White Tower of Ximax but the Wizard of the White tower whose seat is located at the Northern Peak (northwestern end of the peninsula reaching into the sea close to Ishmarin). The White Wizard is one of the Chosen. If I recollect everything correctly.

I don't know if that would help or hinder your joining. I take it your char is a mage (do you mean Gar or someone else), I'm open for suggestions. What do the others think.

I could think of various ways in that respect how your char might join but I want to check my ideas with Capher's first to get the offspin storyline I created in his absence together with his planned storyline.

We have already two mighty mages with us, Haj and Capher, Gar, so a different char would be of more use, I think....why don't you do a new, it hasn't be so elaborated and long as your present? What about a dwarf??

Yes this mage I am thinking about having joining is my Gararion character.  Basically, he is a apprenctice of the Mage of the White Tower (Ximax tower).  Maybe I they heard word of your quest and sent me to aid you.

I understand that you might not want another high powered mage.  If your rule you wish me to bring in another character other then Gararion, then I will.

A dwarf, this would allow me to use some of the things I created for dwarves when playing D&D on IRC.  But would a dwarf last long with you?  I mean, you were just betrayed by a ship full of them were you not?

Well, Gar, of course we would be very cautious when meeting  another dwarf. I don't know, what Capher and Koldar are up to, but Kruviks(what was his name?) anvil is still to be found, and that sounds, like we have to deal with dwarves anyway. Maybe we could even visit Viresse new dwarven town. I think in the line of, that we don't have to like you from the beginning, but you may turn out as a friend at the end..We wouldn#t meet you in now in Chylikis, but later ..

Well, that is just a proposal, what do you OTHERS think?

@Koldar: You are just evading to not to have to tell stories! Hajarian, think of some, Talia wants to hear stories!

Thanks everyone for your welcome's back.

@Talia- Actually having Gar as a mage would be alright.  For Capher though he may have been powerful in the beginining does not know who he is, therefore he does not know what powers he possesses either or how to use them.  And since we are going to be meeting much more dangerous foes each step we get closer to our objectives it would be nice to have more than one mage.  However you are correct.  Our next objective is Kurik's Anvil and we will have to overcome not only dwarves, but evil spirits, ingenious traps and so forth.

Going back to Capher, I am sure some are asking, If he does not know who he is? What he can do? Then why is he along?  The answer is, he still has intelligence and he really is the only one who knows where to go and how to get there. But he is going to need a tremendous amount of help doing that. And as time goes on and he is helped by Talia, Avour, Koldar, Terra, Haj, even Gar or your other friends who may join us.  He eventually gets his memory back and his purpose.  There are some surprises along the way, but I would not want to tell them as it would spoil the surprise and the fun.;)

Ok?  All ready? Good. Onward, forward we go.  "Come with me and you'll see a world of pure imagination."  A line from a song from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.8o

Well, I still would prefer you to join with a different char, which we need more urgently than a mage - there is still my sword which wasn't in action yet. I think with two powerful mages we are out of balance, which we tried to keep so far, not allowing fighters in. How big is the probabilty  that two of this kind join?

The others haven't stated their opinion yet, I will agree, if the majority does.

I have discussed a few things with Koldar and he has told me a few things about his sub-plot thing going since I left.  I like it alot and wish for it to continue.  He has suggested that I meet you somplace outside of Chykilis.  So after your all done with whatever has to be done in the city I will be sitting outside of Chykilis on the road.  Confused and not knowing what to do.

@Gar, You have such great character building skills and as Talia has said we do have mages.  If you could and wouldn't mind maybe a dwarf character who can help us find Kurik's Anvil and help us with the traps and the enemy dwarves we are to encounter would be a better character.  Maybe he carries a magical axe or something.  Just something for you to think about.  As Talia has stated we have not heard from the rest so until we do, it is up in the air.

Since we all seem to be at a standstill, well at least some of us are, I thought I would give you all some back story.  Our real nemesis to speak of.  As we continue I will every once in a while give more back story.  Add NPC's as necessary, like I did with the dwarves on the ship.  Koldar has added some as well with these knights.  So I know that RL plays some havoc on RPing reguarly.  I thought that maybe if I gave you some background as to the plot of this story maybe that would give you all the incentive, including anyone else who may join to be a bit more active.

I hope you liked the back story.  Let me hear your ideas, suggestions, whatever?  OK?

If you need to know more about Tak'Dinal, Gouran, or Eckra just look them up in the main site.  Ok?  I hope I spelled Gouran's name right.

Well, Coore is a rather inteligent horse, and weary of strangers. However Coore would realize Talia and Terra are femilior and friendly towards each other, and you could probably lead him, though he will be hesitant without some sign or signal from Terra that it is alright that he goes with you. I am sure Talias nature would soothe his hesitation.

Riding him would be a differant story, he only allows those he trusts to ride him. So far he only trusts Terra enough for this. He would except passengers, but only with Terra in control.

Hail and Greatings. We have been waiting for you.

You will need to write and post a Character Description here. I do recomend starting by looking at the Character Descriptions, which is linked at the top of the boards. Feel free to look at the other links there to, they may answer other questions you may have. It may seem overwelming at first, but don't worry, there are plenty of people that will jump at the chance to help.

Also feel free to ask me, or Talia to help you if you are not sure about something. My contact details can be found by the link in my sig below.

I look forward to you joining us on our adventure.

Please tell everyone at the dev and Rpg boards that I am sorry, once again.  Jealousy can be a pain!!  I am just complaining now, forgive me.

Take care and I will continue to pray for your and the teams success for Santharia.

the one question I didn't dare to ask has been answered with yes, sadly. :(
I find it surprising, though not unexpected. I wish Capher would finally clear this up, one way or the other. Until then I guess continueing without him once again is th only option so yeah, change your last post, Talia.

I am trying to gather myself to respond to Avour. I have tried a fair few times to just sit down and write one out with what I know but I have lost my train of thought part way through with the post making no sence. I will try to post soon.

Has someone an idea, where I should go, to the Quallian maybe????
Capher would have come in so handy! And if I think he sits at home watching stupid TV instead of posting here - what he would love to do, I'm :explode

Koldar I would be much appreciative if you would post, or at least pass on what you know of the coming plot and allow someone to carry you till you are ready to start posting again. As of now no one can carry you, or move the story forward because we have no idea what you have planned.

Avour, I would much appreciate if you could either start posting, or let some one carry your character as well.

Yeah, can only agree.
Back from some days of snowy skiing holidays I try to get my friends again to do a move! But we should look through the new CDs as well if we could use somebody.
Proposals here!

Btw, how long do I have to sleep? I get a sore back meanwhile!

If not, start small. Interact with those that are like right there. Its not like you are in an empty room with no one but yourself. Avour, Hajarian, and Terra are there. You could also aknowladge the girl that brought the note. She has been waiting there for ages. ;)

If I remember correctly, we were going to get Terra to the temple of Armeros where she would be safer till she is well enough to travel farther. Perhaps we can leave other IC/OOC descitions on what to de next till me get that far.

Terra, I think with your bandages off you should quickly take avours hands and touch your wounds, otherwise you have to stay longer in a horizontal way :lol

Avours last post.
" With a rather large and angry sigh Avour takes Terra's dagger and slices herself across her palm and trickles the blood on to her. Blinking as she pumped her hand to keep the blood flowing befor the wound healed itself. Holding back tears, Avour bit her jaw, the wound started to close over as the bleeding stopped. Leaving only a trickle of blood from down her hand. She felt slightly dizzy, and her hand was tender, flipping Terra's dagger around in her hand she didn't clean it she just handed her the handle of it."

I would carry Avour, though I'm not good in predicting her actions...nor can I talk like her.

Tammy!!

Not really a problem, I was simply confused.

More serious thought: I guess to pursue the story we kind of must overhaul the charakters involved. I'm afraid it is obvious that Avour does not stick around in these forums anymore at least not reguraly and I wonder where Dasson is?
We should consider how to implement some new charakters into the story and worse comes to worse consider to leave the inactive ones behind with some reasonable explanation.

I fear we kind of have to decide who wants to continue the story and who does not or simply cannot. In the current situation it's difficult to do anything because not every of the chars present is still really being played.

I currently would think that Koldar and Terra should head off to gather some info about the knights while Talia might meet some new guys who might eventually join us on the way.

I simply have the feeling that we're quite stuck because none really can rp with anyone else in the current situation.

I don't mean to force anyone out or something I just think we kind of need a rejuvinatuion and get things flowing again. For that matter I even considered killing Koldar to make room for some story twists and new developments.

So should we look for some new players and decide how at least Terra and Koldar but hopefully Haj can get things further again?

Yes, I agree Koldar. We need to bring new life back to the story, and I think the best idea is to write out those characters that are being played less than actively and bring in new ones, hopefully some new players with them.

Perhaps for Avour, if she really wants to continue but does not have the time or effort to do so actively, we could write her out in an open ended mannor. For example she could run off after Talia, and when she is ready to commit to returning she can catch up with Talia or the group and continue on from there.

I agree, I will write to my friends a last time(they didn't answer the last mail) and I hope at least Donna will join us. She said something about a few week at Christmas, these should be over now. I will propose her to become an elf of the quallian, that would fitr in well now. I will write to Tammy as well, but if she can't in the moment, we will find a solution for her to come back later. Talia would be very sad to never meet her again.
However, I wouldn't open the story. We both are reading a lot of CDs, Terra, and I think we should invite a promising char into our story.
Btw, has anyone seen Gararion, wants he still do this dwarven char?
And where is Dasson? Talia just got used to this elf!

Sorry for my absence... glad to see the story managed to pick up. :)  Will post sometime soon, hopefully then.

People, I contacted my friend Donna and we will start to create her char soon (human, Helcrani/Eyelian).

But please look in the Thirsty Herald: what about inviting Nessa(Ylfferhim bard) and Teppei (elf, former Atrii ). The Ylfferhim would come in handy, I could run into them, heading for the Quallian.

I don't know however, who could lurk behind Nessa :lol

Talia, frankly, I don't care about who plays a certain character, and long a they are willing to put in the effort to be active in playing the character. It is really the character its self that is important.

Was thinking we could bring Terra to that hermit some hours north of the town. Koldar asked about him. Should be a hermit of Nehtor or Eyasha and former member of the white knights. Maybe you can lead Koldar and Terra there in the meantime, saying goodbye to Haj and Avour etc...?

See ya'! i'll be back next thursday! :)
