Well several things must happen first.  The most important is that I and Shaint get Mod authority over this story.  Next is Where in Ava is Shaint?  Did he get grounded again?
Third is sometime there will have to be a limit on how many players can be in this story.  I have seen all of your requests, but I am really not the one to say nay or yeah, It is up to Shaint.  I am just supposed to be an peripherial character.  Though Troas and some NPC's will be played by me.

Speaking of Troas, I was wondering for you computer literate people out there if you could find me a picture of a dark haired, one eyed patched man to use as Troas's character.  If you do find one then just put the url on this thread and I will open up an account for him.  Otherwise I will just post as Oscar but write as Troas with his name in bold.

Once I have mod authority, I will put up the storyline, history, and then we can go from there.  Including Oscar taking Bob and Lucirina to meet the heir of Strata.  I will also if Shaint does not show up soon, take over who and who will not play.  So that we can get this story off the ground.

Well I have mod authority, but Shaint does not.  I hope the Admins will fix that problem shortly.  Anyway I will be gone from the 22-29 of Nov.  I think in that time everyone who wants to join should put thier request in.  Actually I think we have alot as it is.  But it is really up to Shaint how many people he wants as guards.

Second, the ones who have already been told you are in the story post your charac descrips.

Third, Shaint, you have the story outline I sent you?  If you do then when you get Mod authority put it on the story thread, so that everyone knows what is going on.  Ok?  If you do not have the story outline, or do not get Mod authority, then I will post it before I leave.  

Then during the time I am gone then everyone can get settled, know what you want to say, and get on with the story.  The story will begin in ernest after I come back from my in-laws.  Is that ok, with everyone?

So when are we planned on starting may I ask?

Hi all, the answer to your question Gararion is when we have approved all of the players.  If Shaint is not going to be on at least once a day, because of grounding or anyother thing, unless it is an emergency, or vacations or whatever and that goes for anyone.  

I understand Real Life gets in way of this game.  However it is only polite to state before hand if you are going to be gone for an extended period of time.  It is not fair to have others wait for you.  So one of the Rules will be to at least post once a day or at the very least to post once every other day.  And if you cannot do that then maybe you should not play.  I am not being mean, I am just trying to be realistic and fair to others who can be online and post.

I will post the rules so everyone knows.

Ok, rules, history and the first chapter are up.  I would like Keelen in this story.  She brings a unique character. So if anyone knows her or can contact her please let her know I would like for her to play. Thanks.  What do you all say.  BTW.  I need a real list of all who is playing.

So far the players are:

Oscar, Shaint, Gararion, Keelen(if she wants), Bobo, Lucirina,
Ciran, and Graken and Atri.  I know there are others but I cannot remember.  We should vote on how many players we have total.  Remember the more players, the longer you have to wait for posts and the longer the story takes.  So it is up to you.  I am flexible.

I hope you all like the history and the first chapter.  If there are any questions please ask.  Thanks and good rping.

Sorry if this post rambles on a bit but...

 Seeing as I have plenty of time on my hands, could I possibly *at some point* join the story?  I ask at some point because I'm losing my internet connection in two weeks until about mid January, so it probably wouldn't be a good idea to join now anyway.  

 As a way of getting into the story (if approved etc) as I am technically an assassin, not an adventurer, I could be hired by a third party to e.g stop the delivery getting through later on, or identify resistance members, or something along those lines.

Lucirina- I wish I knew.  Bobo was going to become an important character in this story, as I envisioned it.  But if he does not show up, then I do not know.  I would still like for you to be in the story.  Maybe if Bobo does not show up, we can think of another storyline for you.

Well something you would have noticed about Curtis is he is very muscular and toned for an elf, he appears very strong and seems like a very cold person the few times where he does not seem like a cold hearted person is when he is learning something new, then he lights up a little.

So seeing how physically fit and strong he is maybe gives you the idea to hire him or whatever as somebody else to defend the shipment?

Well what makes him any different from Shaint? He is better it than a normal elf but he has to be to wield a sword not bow like fellow brethren and sighting of darker places comes from being among the race of Dark and Light elves his hand to hand combat is not to bad wich most elven dont use,

Hey Shaint, can Don, be in this or not.  I vote yes.  He would be a good character to help keep your guys weapons nice and sharp.  Besides he likes the story.  LOL

Bobo, glad your back pal,  I hope you have read the history, and plot line as well.  That will give you an idea of where You, Luci and I are heading.

One last question.  Are we going to use a time system, such as what is used in the Herald?  Or should we slow things down a bit? So that everyone has a chance to post, and that the story can develop better.  What do you all think?

But I think I could spare time for this story.

Listen up everyone.  Please read the rules of roleplaying.  Do not, I repeat do not, play for another person unless he/she/it allows you to do so.  Some, and I will not name names yet, have begun to do so.

Ok, story plots:  Shaint you have already noticed that the wind is picking up.  Actually once your party has finally gathered itself together and begins its journey you will be caught up in a desert storm, a storm that within it are beings that will attack you and your party.  How each one of you deal with these beings is up to you.

Remember, no supermen!! So post accordingly.  Even magicians and special weapons have their flaws.  I will post what these beings are once you all have left.  After the fight you will find yourselves lost in the desert.  You will have to decide amongst yourselves how you find your way to Strata.  But Please put some thought behind your posts everyone.  Lets not just use some magical means and miracuously find the way.  Even magic has its limitations.  Use the time to "Flesh" out your characters, their interactions with one another, maybe one or more are wounded, etc..  Use your imagination.

Ok second plot.  Oscar, Bobo and Lucirina, this concerns us.  We head for the spot where Oscar last knew where the Resistance and Tristan were, we also get caught up in the desert storm, we get through that, for their are no beings in this storm, then we walk into a trap.  We are captured.  Again if you follow the plot I lay out, we should have no trouble at all to what to post.  But like I told the others, "Flesh" out your characters during this time.  There will be plenty of things to do.  I will take care of that.

May the gods bring fire upon your soul.  I had a story planned with the rerise of the Red Druids.  That is what I had created the character: Ripp Dide he was supposed to be able to oppose them with water vs. fire.....I'm sorry about the "yelling" but the best word to express myself is: "nuts."...and poo, poo works good too.

Gararion, I just noticed you're a wind mage. Raoneth is also a user of wind-magic, he has quite a potential, only he doesn't know. He uses it in uncontrolled bursts in stressed situations.
Just thought I'd let you know, as your character is sure to notice.

ack sorry i havent posted in a while. My mood hasnt been suitable to make a decent post for Grakan, though it was perfect fuel for Aylix's anger in the Stones story. Now you know why he was so annoyed...

And the answer to your movie question is...Short Circuit!  It is about a robot that gets hit by lightning and somehow becomes alive.  It starred Ally sheedy, and one of the best parts in the movie is when Number 5, that is his name, Actually he calls himself Johnny, at the end of the movie, walks in on Ally as she is taking a bath, he says her name, which I forget at the moment and then says.  " your all pink, mmm.. nice hardware too."  Ally Sheedy sinks into the bathtub and covers herself with a towel.

Another good part is when he takes other robots and makes them act like the "Three Stooges."

I loved that movie as well as the sequel  Short Circuit two.  In which the indian developer moves to New York and Johnny goes to live and help him in his love life.  Very good movies.  I highly reccomend them to anyone who likes light hearted romantic comedies.

So what do I win?? Huh, Huh,  Come on out with it.

Hi all, since this will be my last post until after Christmas Day I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!!

Ok, guys and gals have fun, tear them up, do whatever you want but remember, no supermen, and after the battle, with wounded and such, you are lost in the desert.  You become disorientated.  Skrill does that with his last dying breath.

Gararion remember these creatures, especially Skrill have magical powers.  Since you are the only mage, you will have to either protect those who do not or attack and protect at the same time.  Either way it is up to you.  

Shaint your responsibility is to your team.  Don't go try and be hero by yourself.  BTW I know that elves have good eyesight, but to see through a blinding sandstorm, 9 peds away is a bit much don't you think?  No Supermen.

Anyway the rest of you have fun and tear them up.  Raoneth I liked your post about using your life magic to combat the poisoned AJ's  Good job.  But remember it will drain you.

Well I don't need to tell you your jobs, you know your characters well enough,  Have Fun.

Bobo and Luci,  I almost forgot about you.  As soon as the storm disappears Bobo you should suggest we rest, as Luci is tired or been hurt in the storm, something like that.  Then after Christmas Day we go into Thalambath and get captured by Malok and his army.  I think that both of you are well enough players to follow my lead and follow the plot.  So I expect some interesting things to happen to us three in the near future.  Have fun and once again  Merry Christmas!!

But I would think that swords would pose threats to them eventually.  What I mean is that one slash shouldn't be able to slash through their neck or what ever.

So maybe if you had a large heavy axe and swung it with all your strength you would be able to out a nasty guage into their flesh...but not even with a axe be able to slice right through their flesh.

So maybe a sword might be able to make small guages into their flesh, a few of these in a certian area weakening the skin enough to penetrate the outer skin and reach the vital organs underneath.

Or something along that manner....

I say we "make" them have a chink in their skin.  Like scales that would rise up if the bent forward or something to that effect.

What are some weak points of full body armor?  



That should give you a pretty big hint.

Eyes, neck, armpits(these guys do have alot..), inner thighs, back of the knee,  ankles are usually pretty well covered aren't they?

Yes ankles are usualy well covered as they only need limited movent to function really.

The waist wouldn't be a weakness as a snake's body is usually the same toughness all throughout.  But when it comes into the more delcate psrt of the body the skin would be slightly thinner

But those are not pressure points.  Those are soothing effect....alomost hypnotising effect.  All it does is ease the aligator.  As soon as those eyes are uncovered they are no longer eased  

Hey since when am I Pinky?  Are you the CEO of WDI(World Domination Inc.) with five members and growing, you probably think I'm kidding, well...I'm not.  Anyway I think the armpits would be good as the things have at least four arms (mine has six EEK!) so it would be somewhat predictable that the armpits be a possible weakness.  But swords wouldn't be to good at that so does anyone have any polearms?  For the guys with the swords we should probably go for that inner thigh thing.  Any more input?

OK, Gararion I just thought you might want to know, but I believe right now I am fighting the Mater-Sephet.  I'm not sure if that's what you ment, but Skrill is the Mater-Sephet and you made it seem like it was just you there going against him.  However I think Skrill might use his magic against me sometime soon *nudge nudge* and since what I know about magic could fill a thimble and leave room for an ocean, I could use a little help on making that happen.

Okay guys we are fighting Sephets but there are two types that are here.  One Mater-Sephet which is Skrill and the rest are Le-Sephets.  

Mater-Sephet have six arms, tail is split into two tails and their magic is more fully developed then the Le-Sephets.

Le-Sephets have four arms, tail is still one tail and other things but there magic is slightly developed, not as much and potent as the Mater-Sephet but still they have magical powers.



Radorac, I killed the Le-Sephet that attacked Atrii.  i beleive that I have just noticed Skrill.  I have made no hostile actions of yet.  Now onto magic from Skrill......what you want me to do?  You want me to post Skrill actions against you or something?


Has everyone read the entry on thes Sephets?  If you did you would know that there are three sub types of Sephets.  We are fighting the second and third types, or evolution what ever you may want to call them    


Also thought I would let yous know that we have killed 5 Le-Sephets.  From reading Oscars post there was only 7 Le-Sephets and Skrill.

So this means that there is one Le-Sephet and Skrill left.  The Le-Sephet that is left sprays it poison instead of shooting blobs of it.  Also he has slight magical powers.  So let this last one do something magical as Skrill spoke to him through his mental powers, giving them a more fierce battle intinct.

Also I still need to do something about Skrill.  Radorac...do you want me just to post what kind of magic he does to you IC or OOC?

I have read your posts.  Gararion you did well in helping them decide how to defeat these things.  Shaint and the rest of you did fantastic.  You worked as a team, however you still need to work more on being a team, but that will come with time and the better you get to know each other.

Ok, after you have defeated these things.  You now have several wounded, your lost in the desert, try to work as a team now to do what you must to survive.  Think! as Gararion had you do when you had to figure out how to destroy the Sephets.  Do your thinking as you did in this ooc, I will start a new one once this one reaches twenty.  I am proud of you all.  Remember to flesh out your characters, now is the time to do some soul searching as well as trying to get to know one another.

Who is coming at my unconcious body....so I'm in a bit of a fix but Shaint seems to be coming to my aid.

Applauds- very nicely done guys and gal.  Keelin, I think you are either going to have to recruit more females in this story or else you are going to have the boys fighting over you.  Of course most females I know kind of like that.  It could put a nice plot twist in the story.  A jealous suitor turns in the band once you all reach Strata.  But that is another of my imaginative scenario's running through my head.  I can't get too complicated with this story.  Or can I?

Anyway has anyone seen or heard from Lucirina or Bobo?  I am waiting for them to post so I can tell them of the legend of Thalambath, and then we have to get captured.

Oh, I forgot.  Now that you have passed your first test, Shaint and the others you now have to pass your second.  Your lost in the desert and you have to bind your wounds, find food and shelter and especially water and ultimately find Strata.  Remember you are in the desert and work as a team.  So far so good.  Enjoy yourselves.

Oh, BTW if you think the demons were something, they were the easiest tests.

The boy, Polan, works for the shopkeeper, whom you remember is loyal to the Resistence and to Robert. He comes to Thambalath every month or so. So, make the gatekeeper know the boy and then let him in.

It is part of a plan I am surmising, it is in it's earlier stages, but I believe the boy could help us escape or tell the Tristin of our capture.

Your ring would have no effect upon a Lord of Fire Druids and his followers, however the rest of them are mortal, so to speak of and would do great damage.  That is if Malok allows you to keep your ring.  Your boy does not need to have to know where the Tristin is.  I will do that part, just once he gets the hidden message from Jelin.  Just have him leave.  I will have a spy for the Tristin meet him in the city.  Ok?
