Welcome to the Approved Characters Archives.  In here you can find most of the approved characters that have come through this board.  Please note that some may have been lost or some may not be added to the archives yet.


Guidelines



     
  1. If you wish to edit you CD {Character Description) you will need to copy it from here and edit it in the original CD thread at the top of the board.  It will then be either edited in this archive or the thread will be moved once you are finished to this forum.  Then if I am in the mood I update it in the archives.

Once a CD has been placed in the archives it original thread will be removed.  So if you first see that your original CD is no where to be found check out the Archives here.  If still you see no hint of it, it may be that it has been pushed off the end of the world and been lost forever.  This Archive is created to prevent that from happening.

Appearance:
As common for his tribe, Angron is of sturdy physique. His strength seems to be uncommonly great, even for Kuglim-standards. A really strange thing about him is his dark skin and long, deep-black hair, floating down his muscle-packed neck and shoulders. Prooving Angron had had some pretty tough times are the many scars that cover most of his muscular body. His pale eyes remember one more of icy crystals than organs to see with, and when grinning his lips reveal a pair of wolf-like canine teeth. Noone, not even Angron himself can tell from whom he inherited these quite uncommon features.

History:
Angron had no parents, for he was found by a blacksmith one day in a forest near the village of Kargul. He was believd to be about 2 years old. This blacksmith was an honorable person, but his wife had been killed in an orc counter-attack whilst the men of Kargul were out hunting for another group of maroding orcs and so he was without descendants until he found Angron. He raised him like he was his own flesh and blood. His name was Thorolf Bloodfist, son of Baelin Bloodfang. From him, Angron learnt the art of making weaponry and armoury, but noone knew who taught Angron how to fight. He was truly gifted. On his 18th birthday, Thorolf presented Angron with the Fang of Baelin, a by Baelin himself masterly forged dagger in the shape a huge canine tooth. As said before, Thorolf was an honest an honorable man, and telling lies was something he really couldn´t stand. Once, he even tossed another man into a camp-fire, because he said something about Baelin (one of the greatest warriors of his time) being a lousy coward. Yes, breaking a promise was like dieing a thousand deaths to Thorolf. Angron probably adapted this way of living, and noone dared to doubt something what these two men said.

One reason for the other kids in his tribe to mock Angron when he was still a child, was that he had always been afraid of riding a horse, needless to mention that he couldn´t even manage to get on the back of one of these fury 4-legged things. But it was ok for him, because he was the fastest runner in his home-village, maybe even in the whole Helvet'ine-area. As because of never riding a horse, he wasn´t in the need to wear the armour suitable for the cavalry-tactics of Helvet'ine tribe. Instead of doing so, he forged his own heavy plate-mail. He also forged his own weapon, a gigant battle-axe, with runes encarved on the humongous twin-blades. This massive instrument of carnage is said to be able to cut through even the hardest materials, from solid rock to even a dragon´s scale-hide.

Several years later, Angron, now grown up and hardly surpassable in strength and dexterity in close combat, he was sent by the elders of his home-village to check on a farm way out in the wastes east of their territory. When he did not return after 3 three days, the elders sent out a patrol to see what happened to the young warrior. They found him mortally wounded midst a huge pile of slayed orcs, with a spear in his chest. Strangely there was this small kitten sitting next to his head, really strange because there was no way such an little animal could have survived long enough in that enviroment. None of the patrol-members could tell how Angron was able to stay alive on the journey back to his village. They told Angron lateron about this kitten when they were back at the village, and he thought of this little fury animal as a symbol of fortune.

Behavior:
When Angron enters a combat, especially for defending other beings (no matter what race), he doesn´t pay diddely to his own safety. Be sure that he will do anything he can to protect those who are threatened and outnumbered. But although he seems to be a big show in fighting and craftsmanship, he´s a rather a little light when it comes to proove his mental capacity: "Hey, look at that cute lizard-thingy ::approaching a grown-up fire dragon::". Meaning he´s rather weak-minded (although that doesn´t mean he´s stupid...well, maybe a little slow). But when it comes to talking with girls, it´s probably gonna end up in a disaster. So to all the ladies out there: Take it easy on him! He may look like a blood-thirsty killer during a fight, but he really has a lot of love and tenderness to give (although he more prefers a good fight than a candle-light dinner...).

Angron does not believe in any gods, neither does he think that there´s an after-life. The one thing he DOES believe in is reincarnation. "The more lifes you saved, the more honest you have lived your life and the more brave you fought, the life-worthier creature you will reincarnate as." - that´s what Thorolf said to him before Angron left his home-village.

Items:
- Gigant battle-axe "Hagun Tan" (Never seen an axe chopping through a tree with only ONE blow? you will when being with Angron and his axe around...)
- heavy plate mail
- Dagger "Fang of Baelin" (in secret pocket in his pants)
- dark brown leather pants
- orc-skin undergarment (don´t laugh  )
- spare undergarments
- heavy leather-boots
- medium-sized backpack
- Shan'si (not really an item, Shan'Si is a cute little kitten, and she always sits on Angron´s shoulder)
- 3 small bottles of "Wulfen Blood" (potion, brewed to help in most kinds of sicknesses, wounds, and to prevent freezing to death. Taste: very spicy, feels like needles stabbing into your throat. But when finally in the stomach it helps curing deceases and sickness, and also influences the body with comfy warmth. Also to be poored into wounds to accelarate the healing-process and for dísinfection).

Aces/ strenghts:
- cat-like reflexes
- skilled craftsman ("Don´t worry, i´ll repair your scale mail...")
- Berserker´s rage ( better don´t mess with him when he´s in that mood, it might not be too good for you...)
- The Pet-whisperer ("what´s that little kitty? you want some milk? here you go ^ ^"...seems like he really CAN talk to animals....)

Hindrances/ weaknesses:
- clumsy (although he is almost unsurpassable in close combat, he could hardly throw a stone into a bucket next to him...and be sure that if there is a stone lying on an empty street Angron strolls on, there is no way he could avoid tripping over this little puny piece of rock...)
- "lemme alone, i´m tired" more like sleeping-beauty-style, nothing can wake him when he sleeps...well, maybe ONE thing *hehe*
- big britches ("Oooh, looky here, 50 blood-thirsty orcs coming our way...lemme at 'em! LEMME AT 'EM!!!")
- "Ewww, look at those purdy lights  "...Angron had never shown any ability to handle magics and spells, although he managed to forge his magical-like battle-axe and plate-mail. He holds great admiration for those who use magics in combat and normal life rather than envying them
- wounded heart: A big scar marks the spot the one orc stabbed the spear into Angron´s chest. That hit was mere two fingertips close to Angron´s heart itself, and although it did not damage that organ, a stunning pain rushes through the barbarian´s chest from time to time. That is why Angron always carries a few bottles of the so called potion "Wulfen Blood" with him.  Return to the top

Appearance:
Ashneer is a pretty tall individual of her kind and with her strong build and whole 1.75 peds in height her figure can be easily mistaken for a male human though those making such a mistake would not live long!
Her face is rather finelined for an orc, with smooth skin and only few hints of old scars. It would suggest an exotic beauty if it was not for her purple eyes with a reddish glow about them and an array of sleek but dangerous looking, sharp teeth. Her stern face always shows the glimpse of a wicked smile, like a child enjoying torturing bugs wrapping her into an aura of unbroken -and dangerous - self-confidence that easily turns into arrogance. Nevertheless people might take her for a beautiful example of her race not often seen in the lands.
Ashneer dyes her naturally dark brown hair into a deep raven black and wears it in many dreadlocks tied together in one big knot to stay out of her eyesight. Her skin is of a light olive green and nearly every inch of her body is covered in ornamental, flamelike tattoos that start from her wrists and ankles and run up and down her body sparing only her face and stomach.
She is very well-dressed, more in the style of the darkelves of the north than in orcish manner. She usually wears an expensive robe of deep purple with golden ornaments along its edges and a dark hood to hide her appearance from strangers on the roads and in the cities. Beneath that she wears an armored leather vest with silver ornaments and silver buttons. Her legs stick in blueish trousers that fall loosely around her knees and light leather boots that are closed around her knees by tieing two leather straps firm around her knees. These boots are formidable for her sneaky business.
To further hide her orcish features in the open she usually wears heavy black gloves that hide her claws and a black veil.


Personality
She likes to be in control at every time, in every place and hates when things don't evolve according to plan. She likes to strike clean and quickly and is outraged when one of her plans end in a mess. Then she does not even care about the death of innocents. She also has no problem playing her charms when it is to her advantage.
Friends are mere allies, she trusts nobody, she'll only tolerate someone be it that he's useful to her or she's not allowed to kill him but as she is always considering the possibilities of being backstabbed by some jealous human, elf, dwarf or orc she also has no problem to backstab someone when the gain is bigger than the risk.
She has a real hate towards anyone who thinks he's better than her because she wants to exceed in anything. Gaining fame and gold is what she strives for. Gaining such fame or respect for her deeds is what satisfies her most, anything else in life is more or less a game she tries to plays best so she gains the most out of it with the least effort.

History

Ashneer was born into a battallion of Orcs serving the darkelven Lords of Devessa at the southern coast of the Caael'heroth peninsula. Her battalion was well-respected among the city and thus even entrusted with guarding a noble family of darkelves, a honour only seldomly given to Orcs who are meant to serve as frontline soldiers.

After absolving her basic training Ashneer was assigned for guard duty of the inner circle of a more vicious darkelven Lord who had a certain affiliation towards Orcs and liked to present the best-shaped as part of his personal life guard. Here she received the tattoos that cover all her body because though she was chosen because of her natural beauty, for elves an orcish beauty still needs further improvement to not look offensive to their eyes.
The service was a degradation as well as a honour as only those most trusted were assigned to this duty, however instead of thick battle armor the guards wore only a minimum of the necessary cloth. But she would only learn the whole truth years later.

Living in a palace as one noble's personal guard Ashneer never had to face war but learnt the more extraordinary ways of life with good food, clothes and weapons. But protecting the family and house was not their only duty. They were also trained in the more subtle ways of warfare to do the even dirtier work for their darkelven lords than their brothers in the field. Used as spies and assassins she learnt to kill quick and silently and served her master well in getting rid of some of his more dangerous long-term enemies.

But it came the day that she got caught by one of those adversaries but instead of killing her he promised her more money and free passage out of the city if she returned to her master and kill him. Ashneer did not consider long but did so. Luring him into his bedroom without his guards she waited for him and killed him with the very own dagger which was meant for his enemy. Packing her stuff and stealing a sufficient amount of valueables she fled the palace and left with the next ship
into the direction of the Eight Winds Bay.

Together with the head coin from her employer and the valueables from her own master she was a rich orcish woman but she had tasted freedom and power and for the first time true respect for her accomplishment as it was not her duty to do the job swift and clean. In the Eight Winds Bay she stayed for a while hiding her identity and looking for a good place to stay and making even more money and earning fame for more jobs. But sooner or later authorities grew suspicious and spies from Devessa were seeking her so she made the decision to leave for new, uncharted lands away from unpleasant relatives of her former master.

When reaching Santharia 2 years later she decided to not risk getting the attention of the authorities as the people of Santharia were suspicious enough towards Orcs and instead earnt her money as bounty hunter and only under the right circumstances as "aquirer of rare items" and "problem solver".


Weaknesses:
- Ashneer cannot stand getting trapped in closed rooms. A situation where she cannot control the where and how is the most unsettling to her. She will react with rage and uncontrolled anger to such situations.
- She cannot ride and will rather walk three days instead of getting anywhere near a horse.
- Sometimes her arrogance demands from her to show off her heritage to the public which might react in most unpleasant ways to it. As long as she does it she also keeps her eyes open for some backdoor to escape through of course.
- She cannot speak Tharanian well. She doesn't even care too much about it as understanding is far more important and conversation with Santharians beside job would be nearly impossible anyway. Frightening to elves, she does know Styrásh as she was educated to spy out other elven houses for her master.
-Other than for cleaning she really hates water. She does not like going by boat, she does not like the idea of swimming through a river and will avoid it if possible. That doesn't mean she doesn't do so when teased enough though she'll possibly look like a cat which has fallen into a pond when doing so.

Strengths:
- She is a master of the shadows, sneaky, quick and dangerous.
- She fights well with sabre and excels in two hand fighting. She has two shortswords balanced for this task.
- With her knowledge about backstabbing she also learnt some things about poisons and herbs.

Possessions:
- purple cloak. Expensive looking with golden ornaments along its edges and a hood.

-Light leather armor. Black leather with silver ornaments, black gloves and light boots.

-Black scarf she uses as veil.

Ashneer has a whole arsenal of weapons though most of them hidden.

She openly wears:
- A sleek cavalry sabre. Though not fighting on horse she favours the light sabre over any heavy sword. She'd use this weapon on the road or when challenged in a duel one on one. Often the blade is soaked in poison to make a fast and easy kill.

-A jewelled sheath spesially crafted to soak the blade into poison while it resides in the sheath. A cloth within soaked in poison always refreshes the poison and keeps the blade covered with the poison.

- A shortbow of elvish design. Though she usually uses it for hunting it also serves well when she is not getting close enough to her client.

Hidden weapons:
-Two shortswords. About 40 cm blades she wears hidden under her cloak in waistheight on her back. She would use this weapons when getting into a brawl against multiple foes. She has mastered fighting with both swords at the same time.

-A jewelled dagger. Also her weapon of last resort this is the sneaky weapon to do a job. It is poisoned and a cut of it might kill a foe in seconds. The dagger is hidden in a hidden pocket on the back of her leather vest and hidden under her cloak but still easily accessable when needed. She'd use this weapon when getting overpowered, surprised or lost all other weapons.  Return to the top
