Shaint thought for a moment "not much to speak of, however I have been flooded with requests for hire......So I burned them...... Shaint said with a smile as he scratched the back of his head

I may have lost my feelings, but your going to lose more than that when I come after you

Angron was watching the two elves communicating in this, sign-language, or whatever it was called nowadays. Surprisingly, he understood certain parts of their conversation, and he could not go along without saying something in this unique form of communication. He first let out a quick whistle, supposed to get the attention of the elves, then he began.

"...i´m a berserker...i´m da man" he 'said', smiling from ear to ear and, of course, bared his uncommon long, pointy canine teeth. This was supposed to be a joke, one that probably only those with the humor of a Kuglim could understand. It was a long time ago since he had used this sign-language, and an even longer time ago that he had learned it from an old elf as he wandered through the Shaded Forests. The Kuglim hoped he got all the signs right and proper, and waited for the Inn-keeper to tell where to take the wine-filled barrel.

Shaint was now talking to an elven woman, they seemed to be old friends of some sort. Shaint seemed to be the only one talking though until he noticed the other using signs to communicate and was astonished was Shaint's ability to understand it. The young bard shrugged and turned away walking over to a table, he sat down at one of the tables. He didn't expect that he would be playing his mandolin to a crowd until late that night so he simply settled down in his chair and took his mandolin up in his hands and played lightly and softly a much slower song than before.

He continued on and on for several minutes, pausing every once in a while and looking over what he had played trying to decide how to improve or what adjustments to make to his new song.

In my head everything was perfect, every note resoudns in harmony. But now all I seem to offer up are dischords and every note I sing seems out of Key and every time I play with passion I start breaking strings and my voice cracks when I sing from my heart guess that's the price I've got to pay to know that i'm alive this melody is tearing me apart.

((No angron we are not the same person, Shaint likes Keelin and sence this is after DoW then they like eachother))

Shaint glanced to Angron and started laughing at his sign's he reared back only to fall over in the chair and slam against the floor Shaint gritted his teeth and rolled off, pushing himself up with his hands and standing to his feet, he stoo dthe chair up and brushed himself off before he kept laughing,

"Keelin, your going to be the death of me i've fallen twice since you have entered" Shaint said as he sat down again and crossed his arms glancing at the towering Kuglim with a slight laugh...

Shaint switched to his elven tongue before speaking to keelin "Where have you been Keelin?"

Ceri wandered back to the table where Akira was playing snatches if music. "I've been replaced," she said with a laugh, nodding at the two elves. In a way it was sweet, though she wasn't sure what the situation was between the two of them. As Shaint toppled over--yet again--Ceri turned her attention to the bard.

"So what are you working on?" she asked, taking a seat.

Akira watched Ceri sit down beside him now. He looked up from his mandolin and smiled to her. "A new song for tonight. I'm not really happy with how it is turning out so far." Akira shook his head and put down his mandolin. "So, Ceri, tell me a little about yourself. How'd you end up working here?"

Ceri shrugged. There really wasn't that much to tell about her life; she had never been in battle, she wasn't rich, and she had never had a tragic romance.

"I was born in the Celeste Mountains," she said. "My mom, my brothers and I moved here when I was 14. Now that Benny's married, and the twins are close, I was getting bored. So here I am!" She laughed and gestured to the near empty tavern.

She would have returned the question, but he had already breifed them in his past, more or less. "Can I hear what you have of the song?" she asked.

"Sure I guess." Akira nodded to Ceri before taking up his Mandolin and began playing a very soft and slow ballad going over each string individually making a wonderful flowing melody emit from his instrument. He switched notes every few strums and did this continually for about 1 minute, the notes changing every time, a part never repeating the last. He slowly came to a stop.

"And that's all I have so far." Akira said putting his mandolin back on the table.

As Keelin walked into the tavern Robert said, "Ah, our first customer." Looking again, he recognized her a little. As Ceridwen lost her customer to Shaint, Robert walked over to the elves.

"Good morning, mistress elf," said Robert cheerfully, "Welcome to the Thirsty Herald Tavern. I am Lord Robert Junakin, at your service. But tell me, you look familiar. I think I may have seen you before just barely."

Angron asked him where to put the barrel. He beckoned for Angron to follow him and asked Keelin to excuse him for a moment. He led Angron to the cellar just behind the bar and directed him to place it on one of the empty barrel stands.

Emerging from the cellar he returned to Keelin and apologized for his departure. He reminded her of his question and waited patiently for an answer.

Ceri closed her eyes as he played the soft tune. It seemed more suited for a lulliby or a lovers night than for the tavern. But then, the calming effect would be a positive influence on the rowdy visiters that were sure to appear.

"It's lovely," she assured him, reopening her eyes and smiling at the bard. "I'm sure it will be brilliant by tonight."

"Where have you been Keelin?"

'Around,' Keelin answered vaguely, 'I had a job with a merchant train, not much since then.'

"Welcome to the Thirsty Herald Tavern. I am Lord Robert Junakin, at your service. But tell me, you look familiar. I think I may have seen you before just barely."

Keelin looked up. 'Care to translate?' She asked Shaint before turning back to Robert. 'I was one of the party who was supposed to deliver weapons to the Tristan's army when you and he were recapturing Strata from Troas.'

OOC: Did I get that right?! 8o

There isn't enough time to do everything and too much time to do nothing.

"uhmm, and a known fine lady" Shaint said in an embarracing smile... he stood up slowly and cracked his back patting Robert he turned to Keelin "excuse me, keelin" he said before walking behind the counter and getting a goblet of wine, he walked back to Keelin's table and took a sip before setting it down he pushed a chair out with his left leg formt he table and gestured to it "care to sit robert?"

"Why yes, thank you," said Robert sitting down and saying to Keelin, "Yes, I do remember seeing you in the liberation of Strata, now that I think about it. Only saw you in a quick glance though. Maybe now we can get better acquanted."

Robert looked about the room. "I must say, I've lived in the lordly palaces of Strata since the revolution, but I never could get used to them. Here I am home, and still close enough to contact the Tristin in a day."
