The Thirsty Herald Chapter XX

[Angron Bloodfist]

Women are the same, everywhere, no matter what race or tribe... Angron remembered the words as if he heard them yesterday. And it really seemed like it - the elf began to talk, talk, talk. His headache got worse with every word, but it seemed the woman was somehow nervous. "Miss elf, calm down, please...". The Kuglim waited a few moments before he continued. "Don´t fill your day before it has even started...first thing tomorrow, we´ll see about that bath you mentioned as you entered the Herald...a swim in the well is quite relaxing...". A sharp pain in his chest let Angron cough a few times before he could continue. It reminded him about what Asmordeus said about the infection. "...it is no infection, Miss elf...the wound is cursed" he added with a slightly superstitious look.

A couple of minutes passed. "...come to think of it...what would you say if we go have that swim right now?". Angron´s lips scooted apart enough to reveal just the tips of his sharp canines. A warm smile. A friendly smile. With a short whistle the Kuglim adressed the wolf. "And you too, Lupo".

Pain? PAIN!? I´m a berserk, dammit! I don´t even know the word pain!!!

[Asmordeus]

a swim now? well that would help relax her.

"I am sorry for the curse and for talking so much. Do call me Asmo, most do.  A swim would b just what I need I think."  Looking to the other elf, "Excuse us."

Ircurus could use a swim himself and thought it a great idea.

Dane coughs loudly and opens his eyes, looking down at the Ale.

" How much did you say that would be ?"

In the end, I will fight untill I draw my final breath

Angron turned his head at the question of the other Kuglim. "Three sans, and another 5 if you want to stay for the night."

He stood up as the cleric got ready to go outside, relieving the chair from his weigth. Then, his nose picked up a sharp scent, apparently coming from the new one. "You might want to join us, Plain-lander...Dane i mean...ah, to hell...". With that, Angron walked over to the main door and unlucked it.

Pain? PAIN!? I´m a berserk, dammit! I don´t even know the word pain!!!

Dane slide 8 sans across the table, and takes the mug, drinking out of it deeply.

"Thanks"

"You might want to join us, Plain-lander...Dane i mean...ah, to hell...".

Dane nods, and gets up as the Kuglim and his "friend " exit the door. Once they have left Dane moves into the doorway for a moment peering out , his large form casting long shadows across the ground

Quarion half-grins. "Go ahead, Asmordeus. And it's a pleasure, Angron." He nods to the large Kuglim, and to the wolf.  

[Atrii Redwood]

The lights within 'The Thirsty Herald' lit up portions of the street as Atrii made his way down the road towards his old 'hangout'. He spent much time within the walls of the comfortable and welcome inn. He also met many of his friends there: Keelin, Shaint, Gararion and many others. That was a long time ago and today as he pushed the door open he didn't expect to see any of them there today. As the door swung open he nearly walked right into a familiar face. The large Kuglim stood towering over him.

"Angron?"

[Asmordeus]

The man who had played with the knife was wanting a drink.   The elf wasn't going with us.  But Angron had invited Dane to join us.  

As Angron and Asmordeus walked to the door Ircurus was between them happy to be with his mistress and his new friend.

((when looking at Atrii´s post in the OOC area of the main site, i suggest it´s best to ignore his post here in the TH. Too bad, actually...))

Angron opened the door, breathing in deeply the fresh air of a desert´s night. A full moon was standing high above the dunes, making it quite easy to see, even at this time of night. In a short distance away he could hear the dabbling sound of the well, and the silhouettes of those southern trees that surrounded the oasis - he had forgotten what they were called. Plums? Palms? Something like that...

Pain? PAIN!? I´m a berserk, dammit! I don´t even know the word pain!!!

[Asmordeus]

The night was cool, but then the desert usually was.  They walked the short distance to the oasis and Asmordeus was surprised at how beautiful it was in the moonlight.  

Ircurus ran toward the water and jumped in splashing and having a great time.  He came back out long enough to shake and send water droplets all over them.

Asmordeus was not shy about her body.  She undressed down to her undergarments and tested the waters.  They were still slightly warm from the day's sun and felt wonderful enveloping her tired body.  She dove under the water and came up again to find Ircurus back in the water and heading toward her.  

She looked to Angron and was glad to have the time to get to know him better.  Perhaps he could give her the information she needed to decide what she was going to do.

The Kuglim had his characteristic grin on his face as he saw the wolf enjoying the water. The grin widened at the sight of Asmordeus going into the water too. Angron unwrapped the deer-hides from his feet and waist and walked into the water, only wearing his loin-cloth. As he dove under, the cool water did good to his headache. He staid under water for a few mments, not moving a bit. Coming up again, he quietly breathed out. Then, breathing in again deeply, the rest of his body began to float up, near to the surface. He was now almost lying in the water horizontally - as if not caring about his heavy weigth. Angron then breathed out all he could, and sank down to the ground of the oasis, waiting, waiting, and waiting...

[Asmordeus]

The water felt so good.  Asmordeus had definitely needed the healing of the waters.  She turned in time to see Angron walk to the edge of the water.  The man was definitely larger than any she had seen.  With only his loin cloth covering him, he seemed a giant to her.  The hint of many scars covered his body.  Had he made them himself like she had been told or were they battle scars?  She watched as he entered the water.

Ircurus came up behind her and she turned towards the wolf.  Laughing at his odd way of paddling, she dove uner him and then came up on the other side of the wolf.  They often played hide and seek in the water.  When she came up she no longer saw Angron anywhere.  Now where had he gone to?

Dane ventured out of the inn, and eventually found The kuglim and elf swimming in the waters of the oasis.

Water, grrr

Though most of Dane's tribe loved water, Dane preferred to keep his feet on solid ground.

Dane sat down, an stared at the full moon, its gray light filtering down leaving semi-shadows across the ground.
The water glistened in the moonlight and it appeared to be of silver.

After watching the water awhile, Dane could not resist the Cool water, and started towards it.

In the end, I will fight untill I draw my final breath
