Okay, here's the new OOC thread.  :)

I've also created a new IC thread, but I don't know if you want to start posting in it right away or wait until you've wrapped up the stuff in the old thread first.  If that's the case, I can re-sticky the old therad.

Not necessarily.  Drasil still needs to make sure Cherri doesn't blow down the inn in her sleep.  :wink2

@Pyth: Me and Cherri's story should be up soon.  We each only have a few more things to do(I'll admit, I have much more seeing as I voulenteered for  more than my time schedule/laziness allows) before submitting.  We tried to work out most of the kinks and error in the story line so it should be up soon, therefore channeling virtually everyone onto a board where we(me and Cherri) can lower the amount of godliness and unrealistic bloodbathing.

Navar, spells don't cure fatigue or bloodloss, or at least I don't think so (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Your character cannot fight battle after battle, plus after a while it makes for some boring (and repetative) reading. My suggestion would be add some variety. Have your character do something new for a change.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do, these are just some suggestions. Fighting is actually a small part of rping here. Except for maybe WotF.

There are healing spells (won't necessarily help with blood loss though, but should be able to close wounds and stuff), and one spell that cures fatigue, though it is only temporary, and the fatigue gets worse after that.

Anyway, just informing you guys I'll not be around for the next couple of days.  Kalina should still be available though, should you need anything done.

Pyth is quite right.  I have talked over you fiasco with a bunch more senior members and most have agreed that what you RP is physically impossible.  In fact, you should be dead.  Drasil's spear into your abdomen would have hit many vitals and even with Cherri's help, would have killed you as she can't heal your intestines and such.  I personally don't have the authority hear to physically stop you, nor do I wish to report this unrealistic behavior that was not intended for your character to someone who can do something about it, but I think you should re-evaluate the facts.

Edit:  YES! I GET TO BE THE FIRST TO POST IN THE NEW IC THREAD!

I kneel before the senior players, after re veiwing my character I see he was a bit....over zelous, but as for the stomache strike, the spear had to peirce through leather and at the with the roling move you pulled would not only been physically improbable but since I allowed it to make contact (because I wasn't wnating to be a god) it wouldn't have made a fatal wound. With the rolling enertia (sp) and the protectiveness of the leather the spear would have gone in at the most one inch and then been pulled up to make a gash, a crippling blow but not a deadly one. Navar would have died from blood loss over organ failure and Lady Cherri stopped the bleeding.

and as for a new style of fighting, your about to see a completly different style about to unfold,

(and yes I understand that RPing is more than fighting) my character is battle based, he not a character playable for socilization so I must play him true, and I can't seem to get into WOTF

anyways after this fight I plan on having Navar hang low until Cherri and Drasil start their story off.

Well now that that is all settled.  I would be honored to mod here, if that is okay with everyone.

Here is my thought, what if we made a bouncer character who was basically uber powerfull, but only got brought in when things got rowdy. The character would have not purpose other than stoping fights and would be dreadfully good at it. Anybody who was able to continue their theatrics despite the fear/pain/death this bouncer would be capable of, would be godmoding...

I would be willing to have Ne'iav'rine be edited for teh job.. I don't really feel she is worth much other than as an amazing battle character.

Perhaps she could settle a deal with the new bartender, pay and food and sleep for protection. I don't mean to be a braggart, but there are few who would dare cross swords with neiav, and she has the capability to always take it outside, where we could have a seperate thread, perhaps she would make a small ring in the sand for that specific purpose?

people are always going to fight, perhaps we should just direct the fighting?

I'm already on the bouncer charrie.  I just have to finish my masterwork and i'll have a practically unbeatable bouncer.  The sinister beauty wouldn't have a chance.

I do not believe that having a godlike bouncer would be a good idea nor am I sure that it is even possible to have with the rules set forth.

Think about it.  Someone has to control the bouncer and that person would be allowed to God mode.  That isn't fair.  For all the newbies that enter and try to stir up fights to try out their new characters then suddently bam!  Here comes a god like bouncer to put an end to things.

I believe the better course for everyone is to perhaps hire out a peace keeper.  Like previously suggested.  That allows for a real player to do something instead of creating more work for someone else to do regarding puppeting an NPC.  People seem to follow orders well when they are getting room and board, food, and a little pocket change in exchange.

Well I kind of like the idea of a person that goes "Take it outside!" when a fight starts. And the mod informs them in the OOC. If they don't comply, kick em out.

I don't like the idea of a god character one bit. A "practically unbeatable" bouncer goes against the rules.

Well, there are a few characters on the board who are practically unbeatable.

when it comes to melee combat Ghost and Ne'iav'rine top that list.

Mages such as Twen are basically deadly, thats all there is to it. Kain at night blows @#%$ up, easy as that.

I'm saying we have a responcible character who wont ruin the fun, but makes sure to get the players outside, to a ring where there is a seperate thread for them to post in

that way we can have talking drinking backrubbing fun inside

and violent gore outside.

and if things get out of hand, the bouncer can stop a fight.

of course the person would have to utilize the OOC

I'm sorry but at night, Ne'iav'rine always stands more than a chance. Due to her species alone she is stronger and more agile and more devious than most, mix that with her combat experiance and tactical experiance and outright bloodthirst, and lastly extremely usefull equiptment! It takes a mob, not a charrie, to stop Ne'iav'rine... too bad... because its usually a mob thats after her :|

Rvahr, Twen is NOT deadly she is misunderstood.|I
Unwanted Recommendations
1) Realism in your posts!! This throws out all god mode players immediately. The story mod needs to handle this and the more experienced players need to speak up with quality advice, to help the newer players learn.
2) Someone with a fair grasp of ancient weaponry and armor should speak up when needed as well. (Misses Talahir for this.)
3) Respect your fellow RPers .... if they are attempting to avoid conflict, then let them do so. (You can make them squirm but if they are RPing well .... sounds like they earned their way out.)

There are alot of other aspects of posting that need to be understood as well. But for fear of offending Cherri and stepping over my bounds, I shall leave the rest to her on how she wishes to see things done.
