Paladia moved to stand next to the shingar that continued to watch the elf with cursious scrutiny. "Why, you are in the Auturian Woods, east of Marcogg. How is it that you've come here yet not know where you are?" she asked politely and brushed away some hair from her eyes and tucked it behind her ear.

Looking down at the cat, Pally shrugged. "If he has a name, he has yet to tell it to me" she said dryly "I simply call him Midnight Cat"

Shan let out a soft throaty growl. I hate that name he thought irritably Why can't she just call me Shan?. These two were beginning to bore him, and the cat had yet to eat this morning. The shingar took a few steps forward, looking up at Minsyth. The large wild cat circled the elf, his muscled body coming close to brushing against him.

With that, the jet cat trotted off into the forest, disappearing into the foliage and looking for food. Shan walked slowly and silently, dew from leaves brushing against his fur and making his coat glisten in the morning sun. Maybe now I can find some breakfast.

Through the shadows a distance away from all three figures a lurking elegant being danced amongst the shadows. This was her place, her comfort zone. It was a place that struck fear into the hearts and minds of many and yet it was the one place where this woman could fine shelter and love. She moved out of the shadows, slowly anticipating the reactions of the others. She wasn't afraid that they would believe her to be ugly. That was nearly impossible. This woman had smooth pale skin that reflected the moonlight, dark black hair with barely visible navy blue strands and a leaf placed decoratively in her hair. She was wrapped tightly in a black gown with torn edges that danced vibrantly in the winds. Her eyes were grey and held most beings in a cold daze. She had a dagger tucked into her belt and a small pouch filled with various poisons next to it. She stepped gently on the twigs and the such until she heard the growl of a feline. She stopped dead in her tracks and readied her magic. Her eyes darkened slightly and a snarl came upon her face. She could see perfectly in the dark, the Darkpriest had trained this ice elf well in the ways of shadowmancy. She looked behind her and found a tree and climbed up it, knowing that her steps might be heard by the feline. She judged the distance between herself and the feline and when she saw that it was far enough, she assured herself that she wouldn't be bothered and rested her head against that oak for a while.

He debated on whether he should tell this curious elf about what had happened to him. It would surely bring on questions that he did not feel like answering and then some. As he debated, the cat circled his form before leaving him with the female.

"It is a long story. Something that I do not feel like repeating at this point in time. The fact is that I am here and I here is unfamiliar to me."

He watched her expression. He was being difficult, he knew, but there was no other way other than telling her everything and she had no right to know any of that information. She did seem a little too curious for her own good.

Hopefully she will just direct me to a village or something where I could possibly get some good directions.

Earlier in the day Felina had cast Spectoral Sight as being in the forest this created a gentle feeling that seemed to follow her.   As she walked along she looked for various herbs she was needing, not urgently but if she saw them then she would pick them and place them in one of her pouches or her bag for later.   As she was walking along she espied large paw prints settled only shallowly in the soil, barely noticable, 'I wonder what this animal is? it looks like a hunting cat, But it doesnt seem to be in a hurry' Felina thought, puzzled by the fact that she could only see one.

She continued up the trail and to her suprise heard voices speaking and saw somethings aura off to oneside.   'It must be human whatever it is, but it seems to be darker for some reason.'

Fflewdur stumbled through the forest, tripping and holding his stomach and groaning. He was on his way through the forest and he hadn't eaten in a couple of days.

Just a little farther to the path. He thought, clenching his teeth against the pain of hunger that was now constant. There's bound to be some food around here!

He stumbled forward onto the path. I made it! I'm finally here! "Hullo!" Is that people I hear? That  was his last thought  before a pang of hunger shot through him and he passed out cold on the path.

Shan walked casually through the forest. His powerful nose sniffed curiously at things as he passed, one particular flower causing his nose to sting and Shan rubbed it irritably with one big paw.

As he walked, Shan came upon a strange sent on the ground at the base of a tree. It seemed out of place, but before Shan could ponder it further, the big cat's sensitive ears picked up a sound. "Hullo!" he heard and the shingar broke into a relaxed run towards the sound.

Breaking through brush, the huge cat nearly tripped over a collapsed dwarf. By the eyes of Seyella, what is he doing here!? he thought, staring down at him. Shan prodded the comatos figure with his nose and then an idea came to him. Shan extended his claws and admired them a bit in the sun. THIS ought to wake him up he mused, and then jabbed dwarf in the rear with a pearly white claw.

Paladia nodded coldly. "I respect your privacy, sir. May I at least know your name?" she asked. The elfmaid bowed, "I am Paladia Entonei and would be glad to give you direction to wherever it is you wish to go. I travel east to the mountains." she explained, rising from her bow. Her bandana had come loose, and Pally removed it and began retying it, brushing her hair back from her face.

A chill made Pally pause a moment. Shrugging it off, convincing herself that the unsettling feeling was simply her imagination, Pally pulled the knot in her late brother's bandana tight and turned back to Minsyth.

Fflewdur snapped awake in shock firstly because of a sharp pain a then from the sight of a wild cat, a shingar by the look of it, standing over him.

"Not this, not on top of everything else," he moaned aloud. He liked animals but this was just too much. I've got to try somehing to get out of this mess.

"Hey big guy, I'm gettin' up now." he said softly in a way that usaully relaxed creatures. There is something strange about this shingar, he thought with a very confused  look on his face. it almost looks as if it understands me.

Fflewdur slowly got up and stood uncertainly beside the cat. He knew that showing fear would just make the shingar more likely to attack. Still, those claws and teeth were very intimidating.

Shan would have laughed if he could. I'm beginning to see some advantages to having claws he thought I guess this is why Sheryl liked her manicures so much he mused, remembering one of his former girlfriends.

The shingar then realized that this dwarf wasn't in good shape and the last thing he wanted was to have somebody get hurt because he didn't help him. Fflewdur was pale and his face drawn with fatigue. Maybe he can get us through the mountains! Yes...the dwarves live up there. He looks awfully hungry and theres always something around here.

The large cat approached the dwarf and nudged him with his nose, then walked past him. In a few moments, Shan returned with an uprooted bush bearing some tasty looking nuts, and dropped the food at the dwarf's feet. Satisfied, the big shingar flopped into the grass and rolled onto his back, waiting for the dwarf to eat the fruit.

He returned her cold expression though tensing slightly at her request.

"I go by the name Minsyth. Is there anything else you would like to know?" he replied harshly.

He cringed after the words had left his mouth. For some reason, he didn't care how they sounded though. He was becoming bored of this conversation, if it could be called one.

"Where are you and the cat traveling? Perhaps I could join you on your trek..."

He regreted saying those words but it was a way for her to abandon the previous topic. He really needed to go home but the detour would be welcomed...a clearing of the head so to speak.

Giglar stepped out of the tree. In the distance she coud see a group of people, but she could hardly make up their appearance or their forms. They might have been trees. Well, the assassin didn't have time to sit around forever. She had to catch a caravan and she had better do it quick. She landed with a soft thud, and looked at the new faces around her. She smiled seeing a woman not too far in front of her, and the assassin put her hand over her dagger.

"What a beautiful forest," she said to the woman.

As she walked towards the group Felina was slightly surprised to see the form of a person hit the ground thier aura changing whilst they were halfway to the ground.   Felina as always curious about the ways of magic walked towards the newcomer to the clearing.

"Very impresive" She said smiling some 5 peds away from the person.  As thier back was to her she could not see thier expression, "What else can you do?". She slid her hand unobtrusivly into her belt pouch and waited for a resonse.

Fflewdur watched, frozen with fear, as the cat walked toward him. When the cat came near his hand went to his axe handle but he relaxed as the shingar nudged him very lightly and walked away. The dwarf nearly passed out again when the cat came back with food. It took a minute for the fact to sink in but when he came to his senses.....

FOOD!

"You are not a normal shingar are you?" he said while stuffing his face with food. He swallowed and his face broke out in a grin.

This is very wierd. One minute I'm passing out from hunger and the next minute there's a wild cat bringing me food!

He ate ravenously for a while and then looked at the cat who was sitting nearby.

"How will you suprise me next my feline friend?"

Shan let a snort escape his nose and rolled onto his back to move into a patch of sun. Watching the dwarf eat made the shingar both feel more hungry and at the same time, lose some of his apetite.

Then something perked his interest. A rustle from the bushes, too faint to be heard by the dwarf, made the cat tense. He didn't hear, or care, what Fflewdur was saying. With a flash of movement, the ebony cat rolled onto his feet and launched into the bushes. He came right on top of a rabbit, his deadly claws already having made the kill. I'm really getting good at this he thought smugly.

Shan stared down at the rabbit. He still couldn't get over the fact of eating raw meat. It was surprising satisfying and his stomach did handle it well, but the thought still made the shingar uneasy. But he was so hungry! So without a second thought, Shanvorin began eating the rabbit happily, not far from the dwarf.
