Luckily, nobody seemed to be annoyed.  The cat had come up to him, probably interested in his voice.  His mother had told him his voice could charm birds out of the trees, so why not cats?

Encouraged, Urse burst out the final three verses, even adding the odd dance move he had seen back in Nemersys.

Minsyth chuckled as Urse sang, trying to liven the mood of the group. If no one else was going to enjoy the music freely given, he would enjoy it for it had been awhile since he had heard a merry tune.

He glanced about him in search of Giglar, his other female companion, hoping to possibly strike up a conversation but found her preoccupied with something and thus turned to Felina. "If you don't mind my asking, where is your homeland? I find it fascinating to find out where people are from. They usually have many stories to tell."

Shan let out a quiet growl and moved up to walk in front of Paladia. She reading over the song once again, something that didn't surprise the shingar. She was always reading the riddle given to him by that strange old man.

The ebony cat continued walking until something caught his attention off to the side. A beautiful woman, an elf who looked like Pally, came unthreateningly from the forest. She spoke to Paladia in elvish that he could not understand then looked to rest of the group and spoke in accented common tongue.

"Leave us," she said coldly, looking over the strange mix of companions, "The elf comes with me."

Before the others could respond, Paladia turned and went with her kinswoman. Shan, not wanting to spend much more time with the singing Urse, left and followed.

Pally read over the riddle over and over again, trying to see if she could decifer any more of it. Frustrated and tired, the elf stuffed it back into a pocket and looked ahead.

Just then, a Tethinrhim elfmaid emerged from the forest and stopped Paladia in her tracks. Immediatly noticing the tattoos on the woman's arm which classified her as a Kaierian warrior, Paladia was unthreatened by her colleague.

The fellow warrior spoke to Pally in elvish, "Come, sister warrior," she said, "My patrol leader whishes to speak with you. We were not expecting you to be making your journey with so many....'friends'". Pally thought that the woman had said the word with what sounded like disapproval, but shook off the notion and followed her.

Not surprised that the ebony shingar followed, Paladia walked silently behind the Kaierian warrior until they came to a tree and stopped. Two figures dropped from the branches and two others came from hiding spots among the forest. One of the warriors from the trees came forth, a tall male who's stature and noble features made Pally beleive that he was the patrol captain.

Paladia bowed politely to her superior and stood, waiting for what he would say to her.

Fflewdur stood silently as the elf came, spoke, and left with the cat and Paladia. He knew they meant for him not to follow.

He held back his walking and waited for the others. He wanted to discuss it with the others.

I hope everythings allright. It would be just my luck for something bad happened right now.

"Did you see that? Fflewdur asked as the rest of the party neared. "What should we do?"

The patrol captain nodded his head in respect for Paladia and introduced himself, speaking elvish. "Welcome, young Paladia. I am Elrohir Telemnar , the captain of this patrol. Behind me stand Lady Aranel and Lolindir" he began, gesturing to the woman who had approached Paladia and a slightly younger looking man"

Paladia opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by Elrohir, "Before I continue, I would like to assure you that this meeting is in no way meant to deter you from your training voyage."

Paladia was confused and asked, "How do you know all this? Did my father send you!? I knew he didn't trust me."

The two elves behind Elrohir exchanged curious glances. Lolindir came forth and spoke in a quiet voice, "I beg your pardon, Lady Entonei, but we were not sent by your father. We are patrolling this--"

But he was cut off by a sharp stare by Elrohir, "Quiet, téth" he scolded, then turned to Paladia. "Our patrol came upon your party and young Lolindir here," he said, and Pally couldn't help but notice him avert his eyes to the ground, "was sent back to inquire. We were interested to find out that you are at the Pharanhé-króin, travelling warrior, stage of your training. All we wanted to know was, why..." at this point Elrohir glanced down curiously at the shingar standng by her side "...you traveled with such interesting companions"

Paladia could see the tension between the two, drwaing a conclusion that the two men were related, most likely brothers.

"I'm escorting them out of the forest," she replied coolly, though in reality, Pally was a nervous reck. "They were lost, confused. I thought it better if they navigated themselves outside of our woods."

Elrohir looked back to his two companions and they both nodded. The patrol captain ran a hand through his mane of gold-red hair then nodded to himself and looked at Pally, "Commendable of you, Paladia Entonei. Now it is time to ask. What of this cat?"

Pally held back a sigh, having known the question was coming. "I found him. I believe that this shingar is--"

"Excuse me," interrupted a stern faced Aranel, placing a hand on Elrohir's shoulder, "But the details of her warrior journey are not for our ears." Aranel turned to say something directly to Pally, but was cut off by Elrohir.

"But we have the right, no, the duty, to inform young Entonei here of any danger she might be in."

Danger? Paladia thought curiously.

OOC: Again...sorry that I kinda...disappeared. Blame it on my parents and their stupid little plans for my life.

IC:
He and the rest of the group met up with the dwarf. Paladia and the shinger had disappeared.

"Did you see that?
"What should we do?"

"See what Master Dwarf? Where is Paladia and the shingar?" Minsyth became worried as she scanned the trees for any sign of them but was unable to pick anything up. As he continued to scan, his mind began to race. Not again. I will not go through this again.

Swiftly he drew his sword and searched the surroundings closely, not wishing to miss a thing.

"I don't think there is any reason to be alarmed. They left with an elf, probably of Paladia's own kind."

Fflewdur looked around anxiosly. He hoped there was no trouble, but even so...

"Should we keep going or wait here?"

"By the way, nice song." he directed at Urse and then winked.

Minsyth nodded but was still unsure if it was not a reason to be alarmed. Why would one of Paladia's own tribe call her to counsel if there was nothing wrong?
"I would still stay on guard master dwarf. Little do we know of these woods and what they hold."

"Should we keep going or wait here?"

"If they were of her tribe and there is no need to be alarmed then we shall stay here. To continue would be of illogical reasoning for without her, we could be in danger of the member's of her tribe."

Shan lay silently and seemingly patiently at Paladia's side, but in reality, the shingar was anxious and uncomfortable. Not only could he not understand what the four elves were discussing, since he was far from understanding elvish, but the sharp sensed cat could sense something strange about him.

Finally, unsettled too much to stand it any longer, Shanvorin whirred his large head suddenly to catch a glimpse of a fleeting shadow in the woods. The shingar understood now. They dont trust her. They dont trust Pally he thought angrilly, now beginning to notice more silent shadows sifting through the trees.

The large wild cat insued a quiet growl, and Paladia breifly looked down at him, only to have her head snap up suddenly to stare at Elrohir.

Shan gave a deep shingar sigh and rested his head on his large paws, not understanding a word the two were saying. Or more so...what Elrohir was saying. He was talking sternly in elvish, sounding as if lecturing Paladia on something, and the young elfmaid could only stand as a stiff as a board and only giving a nod occasionally to her superior.

Finally, after what seemed to be hours to the wild cat, but in reality was only a few minutes, Paladia bowed low to the three warriors and walked stiffly from the clearing and back to the rest of the party.

Looking back, Shan couldn't help but feel angry as seven more Kaierian warrior emerged from the woods to stand by the stern faced Elrohir.

Felina listened to the song and smiled slightly at the innuendo and emphasis. She wasnt peturbed by the song having heard and seen much more in her younger years.

Felina smiled at the Gentlemen to her side, "I come from an Avvenorian village on the coast, you may have heard of us?  My father was a healer and he taught me all I know about herblore. My mother however left me a unique talent. The ability to use magic." She said the last bit slightly quieter in an almost conspiritorial whisper.

Felina was surprised by what Paladia said. She was more surprised by the warriors reaction.

"Gentlemen be calm, there is nothing to worry about."

Felina said out loud to the Dwarf and Warrior, slowly she recalled what her tutor had told her.  Slowly she closed her eyes and placed her hand into one of her many pouches and put a small amount of powder on them, the very lightest amount as she only wanted the magic to last for a few minutes.   After she had put the powder on she chanted and as the car'aal shifted her perceptions changed from the normal light to a gentle lavender. To one side she could see the warrior his body burning like a furnace, also the dwarfs only much closer to the ground.  Looking around she saw the singer and the other woman.  As she looked deeper into the woods she saw insects and other creatures body heat. Eventually she came across the body of a cat and then of three people, with her sight like this she could not see who it was however what was evident from thier body language and the location of the heat distribution that one was supirior and one was inferiour whilst the third was if not of an equal rank then was of a differant group.   Felina was fairly sure that the inferior was not Paladia however she wasn't going to stake any money on that bet.

"The Cat and Paladia are ok they are conversing with some people not too far away, If she wants us she will call and if she doesnt have time to call she will scream. However as she said to stay here I would recomend that course of action"  Felina said to her companions. Her eyes itched from the powder but that was the least price she could pay if one of her new companions thought she was a witch, not a mage healer.

"Someones coming back, but there are more people their?" The last part of Felinas sentance died on her lips was there to be an ambush or was there a problem, but, surely Paladia wasnt a renagade?

Elrohir's words repeated over and over in Paladia's mind like a mocking, teasing lecture. No she thought in denial as they returned to the party It's not how he says. It's not like that. It can't be She was so sunken in thought that Pally didn't notice the hidden warriors emerging from their forest cover.

The Tethinrhim was stiff and subdued when she and Shan returned to the group. "We keep going," she said flatly, and continued the original trail without another word. Though now, as she walked, her head was bowed instead of held up high with pride and dignity.

Shanvorin issued a low growl that seemed to emit from his body as a whole, but the simple wild cat went on after Paladia after looking back from where they came, his small ears up and alert.

Urse tramped on.  He was disturbed.  There was something niggling him.  Something the spellsmith had said.  He was only half listening has they half rested.

He had been worrying again about his orphans.  Still, he was confident in Querprur and knew if she wanted him here, she would be there to protect them, or if necessary, collect them in her arms. Though he hoped she would be patient and wait for them for a little while yet.

He stopped, suddenly.

"The Cat and Paladia are ok they are conversing with ....."
"The Cat and Paladia are ok they are conversing with ....."
"The Cat and Paladia are ok they are conversing with ....."
"The Cat and Paladia are ok they are conversing with ....."

He hurried up to catch up with Felina.

He spoke quietly, but hurriedly,  ""The Cat and Paladia are ok they are conversing with...?  The cat can talk?  This is truly a wonder...  You did say....hmmm?"

"Queprer waits...."

Felina's words bothered him somewhat but he said nothing, resheathing his sword quickly. He just replaced his hood and fell in step behind Paladia, ignoring everyone else for the moment and retreating into his own thoughts. Felina's powers disturbed him somewhat, he wasn't comfortable with him though his sister had similar powers but they were different.

The thoughts caused him to retreat further into his thoughts. He pulled his hood back up to cover his features, ones that were set and hard as he thought back upon memories for no one else can know. His fingers absently ran over the hilt of his sword as his mind wandered as he walked.
