Ok, lets see if this works. I was going to put the 'comments welcome' icon up but then I realised I haven't described her accident with the wolf yet soooooo it's still a pencil up there. I hope I did all right with the balancing of Strengths and Weaknesses? Please do tell me if I'm too overpowered
I'd appreciate it if you could keep the tearing apart of the CD for when I've written about the wolf ^.^ Thank you!

Name
: Koka Bentarm
Gender
: Female
Age
: 112
Race
: Dwarf
Tribe
: Mitharim
Occupation
: Hunter/ Odd-jobber / Merchant
Title
: Bearded Lady
Appearance
:
Height
: 1 ped, 1 Fore, 6 Nailsbreadths
Hair
: Black
Eyes
: Brown
Physical appearance
: Like most dwarves, Koka is small compared to humans, though she is very stockily built. When once she firmly plants her feet upon the earth, it would seem easier to sway a mountain than to persuade her to move. Her arms and chest are muscular, as are her legs. Her hands, with short stumpy fingers, are calloused from wielding her bow for years on end.
Her face, with deep-set brown eyes, has the broad look of her race. Her cheeks are round and often red (as often as not from an excess of liquors) and her hair, as well as her bushy eyebrows, are black. A full black beard flows down from her cheeks, reaching to her stomach and usually well taken care of. She will either make three big braids in it, or a lot of very small ones. Her hair, which reaches only slightly higher than her beard, is always braided in many small braids, tied at the end with small stones and beads which tingle and rattle every time she moves her head.
The only scar she has can be found on her right arm, where teeth marks are obvious on the inside of her arm, near her elbow. It is impossible for Koka to completely stretch this arm, so she always walks around with it slightly bent. In one ear, the left, she has a gold earring. The only other jewellery she has on is a plain golden ring which she inherited from her mother. She wears it on the ring finger of her right hand.
Clothes
: Koka's clothing is rather simple. She wears an off-white, long-sleeved cotton tunica with a belt and a brown leather vest without sleeves over it. Underneath this, she wears brown cotton pants and sturdy leather boots. The clothes are unadorned.
Personality
: Koka is a very straightforward dwarf. She usually says what she thinks, and she expects others to do the same. She also very quickly after making a new acquaintance decides whether or not she likes a person, and once decided it's very hard to persuade her otherwise. Luckily, she tends more towards liking new acquaintances than towards disliking them. She won't form an actual friendship or bond of trust until quite some time has passed, though. Liking, in her case, is not at all the same as trusting. Still, she will not stand for nonsense, even from people she does like, and she will tell them immediately if she thinks they are being silly.
Religion doesn't really play a very big part in Koka's life. She does believe in Trum-Baroll, as do most, if not all dwarves. But she does not go out of her way to pray to him and ask him for favours. She feels that if there is something that she could not achieve by her own prowess, then she does not deserve to have it, and she won't bother her god with it – that way, he won't bother her either. She is content to let him live in Toll Disporbaroll and to live her own life without his influence. Live and let live is an important part of Koka's philosophy, and she will do her utmost to live by this creed.
Due to her beard, she is often mistaken by the tallfolk for a male dwarf. This mistake usually suits her, so she won't do much to dispel that particular illusion if she's not likely to see the person again. On the other hand, if she's going to spend some time with the tallfolk, she will quickly tell them if she notices they're wrong about her gender. After all, she's not *that fond of being called 'he' all the time. However, her voice is slightly higher-pitched than one would expect from a male dwarf, so that is some indication of her gender.
One of the things the dwarfess enjoys very much in life is haggling. If she has the time, she will draw out all afternoon to go to a market and haggle down the price of an item, even if she doesn't really need the object. She usually manages to sell the object for a much higher price than she paid for it, when she takes the time to sell it.
Strengths
:
-Koka is a decent hunter. She can usually manage to bring back a good meal for four or five persons when she goes out to hunt. Her usual prey are rabbits, but she can also lay down deer. As a result of her occupation, she can track prey and set traps.
-In order to hunt, Koka is a good shot with her composite bow. She can hit a still object at 55 peds, and though moving prey is harder, she can still kill it at around 40 peds. That usually isn't too clear a shot though, so she doesn't always manage a kill at that distance.
-Like all dwarves, she is sturdy and strong. Compared to male dwarves, she is perhaps just a little less strong, but in comparison with humans it is obvious that she is much stronger. She could, for example, single-handedly pick up a wagon and pull it for several strals, should the occasion require it.
-Connected to this is her stamina. While she is not made for short but fast sprints, she can cover quite some ground on her sturdy legs without noticeably tiring, so long as she keeps a steady pace. If she has to sprint inbetween, she will tire much more rapidly.
-Her joy in bargaining generally ensures she doesn't pay too much for an item that she needs (or one that she does not need, but will sell for a profit later), but rather the opposite. This way, if she doesn't manage to land herself a hunting job or something else that will bring in some coin, she will always have some trinkets about her person that she can sell for enough money to see her through another few days. She's also becoming rather adept at judging whether or not she will be successful in selling her trinkets, and she searches her customers according to that judgement.
-Koka's creed of 'Live and let live' can quickly endear her to many people, even those who maybe have something to hide. She shows a profound lack of curiosity when it comes to the personal life and past of people she meets. Though she will listen if they choose to share, the chance that she will actively ferret out a secret is very slim indeed. This may lead to help where she least expected it.
-Apart from her bow, she also owns a sharp little knife which she carries on her belt. She uses it for various tasks, most notably to cut and eat her food. It is also a means of last defense, though she'd rather not use it on people of any race if she can avoid it.
Weaknesses
:
-Due to an accident with a wolf on one of her hunting trips, the tendons in her right elbow are too short and she cannot entirely stretch that arm. While it does not hinder her in shooting her bow, it does create problems for other every-day tasks. Due to this, her right arm is noticeably weaker than her left. If she overexerts the arm, pain can flare up violently enough to incapacitate her for some time, sometimes up to half a day. Unfortunately, she often forgets to take things easy on the arm.
-When the weather turns cold, Koka will feel a throbbing in the arm that does not really incapacitate her, but which is nonetheless annoying. The colder the weather, the worse the pain, with it being so bad in extreme temperatures that she can't even use her bow anymore.
-Despite having come outside the caves of her tribe fairly often to hunt, and living out in the world for the past year, Koka is still afraid of the open sky. During the day, certainly when it's clouded, it's not too bad, because she can concentrate on the tasks she has to do. However, at night when stars appear, she imagines all kinds of dreadful monsters can fly down on her from that vast expanse, and it often keeps her from falling asleep. Even during the day, she has to work hard to keep her fear under control, and the strain can get on the nerves of the otherwise even-tempered dwarfess.
-Koka's Tharian, while adequate to convey what she wants and to haggle down prices, is not good enough to understand the finer points of the language. She often struggles with the semantic meanings of phrases, taking them more literally than they are meant, which can lead to misunderstandings.
-Her creed is not always a help for the dwarfess. It makes her at times a bit naive in connection with the nature of people. She automatically assumes that others follow the same rule, but this makes her a little (or a lot) vulnerable to manipulation, if one is so inclined, because she is far from suspecting subterfuge and she expects everyone to be as straightforward with her as she is with them.
-Similarly, she might at times offend people with her straightforward way of talking, and when they grow angry with her she rarely, if ever, understands what they are upset about.
-While she does not own any, Koka is fascinated with gemstones. She is not so much enamoured of money, seeing it only as a means of living comfortably in the world, but her love of the glint and glitter of diamonds, sapphires, rubies and other precious stones is unequal to anything else she feels. If one would find out this weakness of hers, they could quite likely use it to make her do things that she would not normally.
-Another weakness of Koka's, one somewhat more harmful for her health, is her love of alcohol. Not so much the beer that is typically associated with dwarves, Koka is more fond of strong liqueurs and spirits. She does limit this love to evenings – she makes it a rule not to drink alcohol during daylight and only buy drinks when it's dark – but she has lost quite a bit of money this way, as well as several hours of her memory. She's woken up many a morning with a splitting headache, but while she always swears never to touch a drop again, the next evening – or the one after that, she will be drinking and making fun again.
History
:
Born in the caves of the Mitharim clan, Koka led a pretty normal life. She was part of the community and helped out where she could, though her main job was to go out of the caves and hunt, which she learned to do from her mother. When she was still a child - some time when she was around 40 years old - she prepared her own copy of the Rock Tales, copying the text under the scrutinising eye of the Denirim. She carried the booklet with her ever since then, even when at a later age she was somewhat less fanatical about her religion.
While she did feel at home in the community, from the first time that she went outside the caves, she felt a curiosity about what lay beyond the lands of her people. The older she got, the more the curiosity burned. Each year she would watch some few of the men pack up to live in the outside world, and she would wish that she could go with them, despite her fear of the open sky.
However, she was not really prepared to leave her home yet. In the normal course of time, she achieved Huregozar, and when her Wirrutharoon came along, her own Wirrurt was a deer that she had hunted and laid down a day or two previous. Then when she was 90, she married Ganda, a brown-haired miner with a very sunny disposition. They lived together for a few years, feeling that they were too young to have children, even though they loved each other very much. Every few days Koka would go out and hunt, the rest of her time was filled with helping the community, and Ganda would go mine, coming home dusty but satisfied.
As she was hunting outside of the caves during one particularly severe winter, she met a lone wolf. The animal was very lean, she could have counted his ribs, and his coat was tangled and dirty. Apparently desperate, the wolf attacked the dwarfess. Without time left to knock an arrow, her bow was useless and she flung it aside, grabbing instead her knife. For being half starved to death, the animal was surprisingly strong, and he knocked her over. They grappled each other, and she felt the wolf's teeth rip through her clothes and sink into her arm. Somehow she managed to get her knife into her left hand and with it she stabbed the animal in the neck until he let go. Examining her wounds, she knew that she had to get back to the caves as soon as she could. The worst wound was on her right arm, and she cradled it protectively as she made her way back home, her bow slung over her shoulder. She never knew if the wolf lived or died, but she didn't imagine he had much chance, what with the wounds in his neck and the freezing cold. She didn't spare him too much thought though.
She never remembered later how she got home, but somehow she managed to stumble into the caves, where she collapsed with a fever that was starting to come up. The clan healers did their best, and most of her wounds could be treated. The wound on her right arm never healed in the right way, however. The tendons grew back together, but smaller than they used to be, so that she could not stretch the arm anymore. Afterwards, whenever she overexerted the arm or the temperature was growing cold, the arm would hurt. She learned to do most of the everyday tasks with her left arm, but even years later she still had a tendency to use the right arm in ways that it wouldn't really allow. She did discover, though, that she could still shoot her bow, so that was something she was very grateful for.
Her life went on like this for about twenty years. Afterwards, nobody could tell her how exactly it had happened, but one day while she was out hunting, one of the mines collapsed on top of the workers, killing two dwarves. One of them was her husband. A large stone had crushed his chest. She at least had the comfort that he had not suffered, but had joined Trum-Baroll immediately. She stayed for another year, but the grief was too big for her to bear, and one day she decided to explore what lay beyond the caves.
She packed a few necessary stuff, said goodbye to her friends, and set off. When her beard had first started growing years ago, she'd shaved it off, like all the other dwarfesses. Now, however, that she went out in the wide world, she let it grow. The main reason was that she did not want the hassle of keeping it away while travelling, but she also wanted something to distinguish herself from other females. That was the same reason why she started braiding her hair.
She has been travelling like this for a year, taking hunting jobs to get some coin. When she doesn't find one, she'll do anything – often to do with strength – so that she can live, or else she sells the trinkets that she's accumulated with her haggling, when she sees a likely customer.
Weapons
: A composite bow which has been in her family for years, handed down from mother to daughter. When Koka's mother died, she left her the bow, as well as a plain golden ring. With the bow goes an ornate quiver filled with arrows.
Next to this, Koka owns a simple knife for every-day use, such as eating her food. This she can also use as a defensive weapon, should the occasion require it.
Belongings
, carried in a simple knapsack:
-Simple wooden pipe and some weed
-Tinderbox and some moss to start a fire
-Random trinkets that she has bought on marketplaces when she felt like haggling.
-Her copy of the Rock Tales

Greetings Koka, and welcome to the Dream. Another dwarf! I feel so loved

Name: Koka Bentarm
Gender: Female
Age: 112

And there you go. It's obvious that you did a lot of research about dwarves, and for that I commend you.
You shouldn't be too far from an approval.
Have a nice day.

Thanks for the comments, Thorgas!
Much of the spelling that you corrected is actually British spelling, which I have been trained to use, so no offence but I'm keeping that
I'd just confuse myself if I used British spelling for one thing and American for something else.
About your other comments:
-I said that she tends towards liking people she meets, not that she immediately trusts them or becomes friends with them. I will make this more clear
-About the deer: I wasn't so much thinking about the weight (yes, she would be able to pull it) as about the size of it. A deer is quite a bit bigger than a dwarf
But if you think pulling it over the ground won't spoil the meat, I guess I can change that as well.
And the other comments will be integrated asap ^.^

Hmm... I can taste the PuvJor already.
I'll notify the mods to have a final look on your CD, since I have looked at the dwarf part and it was ok.
