Mouseketeer
♥ღ♥Description♥ღ♥
The brownie demonstrates a plentiful amount of optimal qualities of her people. A dapper profile accentuated with vivacious proportions of curvaceous hips, lengthy slender legs and a sensual sized bosom. F’earn’s entire form is a lithesome vision of supple grandeur and spirited health. Vibrant forest green skin garners a sense of both sinuous power and silk-like tenderness; with attractiveness only the silhouette of youth and vigor bring. The maiden does extremely little to obscure any of her corporeal attributes and blatantly displays them with her clothing choices.
Long willowy arms flow eloquently forth from the maiden’s petite shoulder blades. When in movement they travel with fluidity and elegance, no matter the circumstances of their use. These lithe appendages are profoundly tattooed with a cascade of stylized vines originating at the shoulder and flowing poignantly to each delicate elbow. Fragile wrists are also inked with elaborate cerubells before leading into a duo of exceptionally nimble hands. Although these agile digits are lightly scarred from the rigors of swordsmanship, this does little to detract from the plush exquisiteness of their ethereal sophistication.
Provocative gray-green orbs sparkle with a mischievous luster from just above F’earn’s plump cheeks. A nose of perfect symmetry is poised just between the brownie’s alluring eyes granting the fencer a radiant aura, mystifying many into the perception that she is naturally a jovial person. This modest piece of trickery habitually brings a sizzling grin to be displayed upon her luscious lips. The gleaming expression awards all observers a sparkle of her pearly whites. One may well describe the duelist’s chin as somewhat sharp in perspective, yet it has a subtle curvature, sustained only by an ever-present smirk.
F’earn’s sognastheen mane cascades in abundance to respite just above the brownie’s supple waistline. Glowing with a silky luster, these tresses possess a profound elegance enhanced significantly by the fencer’s beaming countenance. True, the duelist spares little funds in their upkeep, yet they continue to appear vigorous and well maintained. Rare is the occurrence that she leaves these curving locks unfastened, preferring them to be pulled back into a high-suspended ponytail. Even then loose strands spill out in a variety of unrestrained fashions.
Four earrings ascend upon F’earn’s right delicate ear, beginning with a small silvery hoop with a dangling kitten pendant, fitted into her earlobe. The remaining three are studs with fanciful runes displayed in descending size, the last positioned parallel with the top of her ear canal. A teardrop shaped stud pierces the impious brownie’s navel, drawing the looks of many would be suitors towards the fencer’s voluntarily exposed abdomen. Many of these piercings were done in the duelists’ teenage years, as invariable attempts to draw admiration from the other trainees. Though the motif hasn’t changed greatly over the time she has spent fending for herself, the brownie does have a preference for mysticism and feline items.
The top F’earn wears is assembled from a mediocre quality ether-flake, stretching from just below her bountiful bosom to respite on her velvety neckline. The translucent material runs over a refined shoulder and down her left arm to rest just under the cuff of a tanned leather glove. To the right the material gives way just before the shoulder into a snow white silken material that vaguely hides her vigorous bosom. The textile spans the full-length of her right arm, ending in a flowing cuff about a delicate wrist. An ether-flake cloak tumbles ethereally about the fencer’s form, blanketing her radiant attributes behind wisps of obscurity. This leaves some to the mind's eye, but only the blind could miss the enlightening nature of the garment.
Form fitting, light chocolate, mouse-skin breeches cover her strapping yet lean legs. A wine-red sash with blazing golden circles is wrapped about her petite waist; it is attached in a loop on her right hip with the loose ends surging generously to her knees. A robust rawhide belt is also wrapped about her waist; a brass fastening holds it secured in the front. The brownie’s tiny feet are enveloped in a pair of mouse-skin, thigh high boots with the tops folded over and studded with polished copper trinkets. Poised upon her head is a large buccaneer’s hat, also made of mouse-skin and tanned a light chocolate. A large green plume flows from the hat’s band in an exaggerated arch.
♥ღ♥Personality♥ღ♥
F’earn’s behavior is overflowing with flightiness and a very bubbly nature, leading most to perceive her as dumb. In truth, she is naïve and downright stupid when it comes to many things, but her spriteful smile and kindly words are always genuine. The Brownie loves practical jokes, which she tries to accomplish on her own, but this does not diminish the extensive giggles that flow from the Milken when others perform the same. Her lack of extensive personal relationships only enhances the shroud of gullibility and ignorance she exudes.
A tendency for the melodramatic really enhances these shallow perceptions for most anyone she meets. Even those directly stating their displeasure about such things will bring an incredulous grin from the tiny duelist. With an abundantly loquacious, bubbly demeanor the adorable maiden has frequently been misjudged as highly flirtatious amongst her fellow fencers. This was both a curse and blessing in her younger years. F’earn absolutely adores being with friends and she easily misconstrued the flocking men as such, placing the girl in some unsavory situations from those expecting more.
Since the fencer has left home these manners have endeared her quickly to many people as most of them held preconceived ideas of what a brownie should be like. Countless of them were humored if not befriended swiftly with F’earn’s giddy nature and fun loving attitude. Since the Milken left her home the usually scatterbrained nature still remains, but is sometimes veiled behind a façade of sincerity and a shy nature when first meeting new big folk.
Whenever the Milken gets interested in a conversation her nimble hands quickly begin to play their part. As the duelist tries to explain her viewpoints, the maiden’s hands move about as if constructing the idea into a physical form, their motion is purely habitual. Now it is a scarcity for F’earn to speak in-depth on any material without these waving appendages engaging to assist in the narrative. If one were to restrain the lass’s hands while in such an endeavor, they would find one of the very few things that irritate her. It would be a sure fire way of bringing a grimace over the girl’s usually beaming visage.
♥ღ♥Strengths♥ღ♥
~Duelist~
F’earn’s human family in Milkengrad ran a fencing school and like many of the brownie families within the city, they followed in the big folks' footsteps. The duelist has been trained since about the age of nine with a pair of long swords. Against tiny opponents, such as mice or another brownie, she would be considered remarkable with them. Her rapid strikes and near faultless form would be considered astonishing, even by human standards.
As a brownie, with a family, the fencer has specific duties around the home and F’earn’s happens to be hunting and slaying rodents. Although this is commonly done in small factions, the duelist has fought no less than three mice, solo, in her career. Most impressively, there is also a solitary confirmed instance of her slaying a full-grown rat whilst alone. Impossible you say! Read onwards.
~Personable~
The brownie has a beaming personality that lightens a room, well at least her tiny corner of it. A radiant smile, a wholehearted laugh and a congenial nature make it difficult for most to turn a blind eye towards her. If all else fails, her flamboyant escapades, gestures and wordy nature will chisel away at anyone within hearing distance.
~Attractive~
No self-respecting brownie lad could refute the exquisite silhouette the young lass presents. Her physique is alluring and well proportioned, coupled with a radiant smile and an overabundant friendly nature. If not physically attractive to the majority, F’earn’s friendly demeanor is the icebreaker for most anyone.
~Multi-Lingual~
Being around a diverse range of races, the fencer has learned to speak in Browniin, Tharian and the Helcrani dialect. All three of them are spoken with extreme fluidity and detailed vocabulary. She has been raised since childhood with all of these languages being spoken around her and to her. There is not a nuance amongst them that F’earn does not understand comprehensively and articulate regularly.
~Dexterous~
F’earn has honed her natural nimbleness to a fine art form. The lass’s actions are graceful and poised; whilst in mêlée her movements are like an intricate dance. With faultless hand-eye harmonization, the brownie’s adroit reflexes make her a tricky target. In tremendous corporeal shape, she's a treacherous person to lose sight of in a conflict. Even such mundane actions, like running across a field, garner would-be observes a taste of the fencer’s liveliness. Limber legs leaping over obstacles, adroit digits using handholds to garner height during jumps or to pull the tiny warrior around objects. Field mice, beware!
~Poisons & Toxins~
F’earn also possesses another brownie skill, the knowledge of how to concoct poisons and toxins, mainly those that cause sleep and or death. Although the duelist is not an expert in their creation, the materials needed are relatively common and easy to gather. It is the distillation that requires a lengthy amount of time and if she were to run out, it would take weeks before she could produce more.
♥ღ♥Weaknesses♥ღ♥
~Diminutive~
F’earns’ stature can be considered a weakness, as she is frequently around people many times her size. The safest place for her is often times out in the open, so that she does not become trampled whilst unseen. The duelist’s diminutive size, while a strength in some ways, does not allow her to be easily heard or seen. As such, she needs to be careful when dealing with humans as the mouse hunter can sometimes be mistaken for a rodent at a distance.
~Duty Bound~
Because F’earn hunts vermin that inhabit communities, her life is in a constant state of jeopardy. Normally she feels obligated to clear any dwelling she stays in of rodents. Although, this may be a righteous effort by the brownie, it can also be a very dangerous one. Following a mouse into a gloomy hole is a stunning plan of attack, but meandering into a nest of them could be terminal.
~Melodramatic~
The fencer is melodramatic to an extreme. When she is happy, her laughter will come across in torrents of giggles. If she is angry, her curses would make a sailor blush. If sad, the maiden will weep relentlessly and at immense length. When frightened, she may screech piercingly. All of these may be endearing at first but over time can wear on the nerves of would-be friends. Everything, to F’earn, is the beginning or the end of the world.
~Naivety and Gullibility~
F’earn is quite possibly one of the most naïve beings you will ever come across. Factor in that she is liable to believe almost every word out of your mouth, doesn’t unerringly assist her situation. The duelist habitually ends up looking like a total fool for believing what is unmistakably a lie. The more fanciful the story, the higher chance she is to believe it.
~Solitude~
Since leaving home the fencer has found that once simple tasks have become complex endeavors. Without other brownies to assist her, larger vermin require days of preparation to overcome, if they can be at all. She has no one other than herself to fashion or repair clothing, which is painfully becoming obvious as she travels.
♥ღ♥History♥ღ♥
This story starts with a man and a woman who birthed a child, as does the beginning of every living being's life. The woman's name was Dynda Meadowdyn, the father’s name was Kylix Meadowdyn and their child's name was F’earn Meadowdyn. They lived in a hub of civilization, Milkengrad, happy and as normal as any family who had an extended family. The father taught fencing to other Milken Brownies, while her mother prepared the meals, tended to the house and to F’earn. On rare occasions Kylix would travel long distances with the human family they resided with, but very seldom did he ever leave their cozy little home.
Much of her childhood was spent assisting her mother around the home and her human family with menial chores. F’earn frequently spent time with Lily, her human family’s youngest child. They were of similar age and shared a multitude of interests, not the least of which was dress-up. The brownie would play in the young girl’s dollhouse whilst Lily would play with the less animated ones. The duelist’s childhood was one of wealth and comfort, if not one quite filled with fanciful dreams.
When F’earn was around the age of nine, her father began to teach the maiden in the arts of swordsmanship. He was a master fencing instructor and F’earn was an agile and energetic student. Lily also joined her father around the same time, cutting the friends’ time together immensely, yet they sought each other out at every opportunity. Usually they would dine together in the human feasting hall with a multitude of family present on both sides. Afterwards the young ladies would wander off to play together, now sharing the accumulated knowledge that had each garnered over the day.
By the age of fourteen F’earn had been assigned to a squad of rodent hunters. They would patrol the grounds of their family, exterminating a plethora of vermin. Spiders, ants, roaches, mice and rats were all open game for the brownie patrol and they excelled at their duties. The duelist was not as accurate with the bow as many others were, so she would take the frontline when the quarry would close ground too quickly to be slain from a distance. Her blades were honed on the corpses of a massive amount creepy crawly things and she quite enjoyed her work.
At seventeen years of age, the brownie was wandering through the (human) family stables. It was a relative place of safety, if she stayed out of the stalls and a playground of immense proportions for the nimble lass. Unbeknownst to the frolicking brownie a large rat had been watching her from a rafter and had made its way to the pile of hay she was in. When the beast pounced it hit her and luckily she lost her footing on the dirty floor. The impact slid her against the wall with enough force that she nearly lost consciousness.
Instinctively F’earn bolted along the wall, her vision clearing after near a ped, she unsheathed one of her blades. The tiny duelist’s weight caused a loose board on the wall to give way, causing her to tumble through to the other side. In that very moment the rat struck again, its snarling head plunged through the gap after her. The impact caused a massive cloud of dust to be kicked up, yet one side of the board held nailed to the wall. In a frenzy the rodent’s head was wedged within the crawlspace while it’s body was to large to enter it. The beast had trapped itself.
The rodent’s teeth gnashed only a few nailsbreadths away from her, and despite the shock she was alive. Surely the beast’s enraged screams could be heard from beyond the confines of the barn. Their power was enough to send quakes of sound resonating through the brownie’s lithe form. Without a blink of contemplation the fencer drove her blade into the rat’s skull, burying it to the hilt between its piercing eyes. The animal did not die quickly the screams turned slowly to muffled whimpers as its eyes slowly closed.
Near F'earn's twentieth birthday she was invited to accompany Lily on a trip to an outlying settlement. Their traveling group was small and the caravan no more than a duo of wagons. It was a shopping trip for her wealthy friend and with any luck the duelist would garner some fabrics to have fashioned into a new dress. Within a day the weather had taken a turn for the worst and the conditions of the road became treacherous and difficult to traverse. Lightning, thunderous claps and buckets of rain all conspired to drag down the wagons.
A nearby lightning strike spooked the horses of the wagon in which the fencer and her friend traveled. Without hesitation the beasts panicked, racing through the muck with no regards to the burden they pulled through the muck. The axle struck a large rock, that had been revealed from the torrential rains, shattering it in many pieces. The carriage lurched to one side before rolling, tossing the occupants out into the thunderstorm. The brownie's final memory of the event was that of flight before darkness enfolded her.
How long she had lain there? She would never know ... When she awoke, the sky was clear and the moon shone brightly above. It took quite sometime for F'earn to break free from the dried mud encasing her lithe form in a tomb. She searched about, looking for the road they had been traveling, discovering that the horses had strayed from it. Even the wagon was gone ... had they given up on her? With only hope to guide her the tiny brownie set-off to discover what had become of her friends. Little did she know that her choice of directions had led her far astray.
♥ღ♥Weapons♥ღ♥
~Long swords~
F’earn favors a two-weapon fighting style, using a heavy-bladed long sword of extremely high quality in either hand. The duelist’s father commissioned a master smith in Milkengrad to forge the weapons with her fighting style and nimbleness in mind. Both are perfectly balanced for her stature and strength. The hilt of each weapon appears to be the antlers of a stag, with the handle and pommel intricately designed in the form of a venison's face. Each measures about six nailsbreadths and nine grains from point to pummel.
♥ღ♥Possessions♥ღ♥
-The clothes noted in her description are always with her.
-A set of bone dice and a pack of playing cards.
-A large rucksack containing a change of clothes and near a weeks rations.
-A small jewelry box containing a few trinkets of jewelry and a map of her homeland. Stored in the aforementioned rucksack.
-A full length mouse-skin trench coat, light tan in color, with copper buttons and a large cowl. Generally worn in colder climates.
-A small clothe pouch containing a handful of Tooth Cabbage.
-A large amount of Miyu Bean grounds in a small satchel.
-A pair of long swords in sheaths about her waist.

Indeed it is ready ma'am. Was only the second or third down the page, so wasn't sure a *bump* would matter much.

Hi F’earn. No need to welcome you to Santharia; I rather think
you
were one of the people who kindly welcomed
me
a year ago. And now you’ve done me a good turn once again, by giving me an excellent excuse to read up on Brownies! F’earn is a beautifully imagined character, and I really hope you’ll play her sometime soon.
Comments, mutterings and praises will be in orange, straightforward corrections or little stylistic suggestions in yellow. Most of my points are small, but two are medium-sized: (1) it seems to me that the Milken brownies speak Helcrani as their native tongue, not Browniin; (2) your history fails to explain when, why and how she left home, and what she actually currently does. Please find more elaborate comments on both points below. So then, here goes:
Name: F’earn Meadowdyn
Occupation: Mouseketeer
(

Gender: Female
Age: 21
Race: Brownie
Ethnicity: Greenbark
Tribe: Milken
Height: 14 Nailsbreaths
Weight: 1 Mut
Eye Color: Grey – Green

Skin Color: Styruine

hunting and slaying rodents. Although this is commonly done in small factions, the duelist has fought no less than three mice, solo, in her career.
(That’s nicely written – but isn’t the problem with mice that they run away rather quickly, rather than that they are difficult to beat in a fight? What I mean is: wouldn’t mice scurry at the sight/smell of a sword-swinging brownie, rather than take her on – even when they outnumber her?)
Most impressively, there is also
a solitary confirmed instance of her slaying a full-grown rat whilst alone. Impossible you say!
(Nope. I don’t.
)
Read onwards.
~Personable~ The brownie has a beaming personality that lightens a room, well at least her tiny corner of it. A radiant smile, a wholehearted laugh and a congenial nature make it difficult for most to turn a blind eye towards her. If all else fails

If not physically attractive to the majority, F’earn’s friendly demeanor is the icebreaker for virtually everyone.
(Really everyone? Or did you mean: every brownie? Or maybe brownies and brownie-friendly humans? I’m just asking to clarify. I don’t know what, for example, orcs or dwarfs think about brownies?)
~Multi-Lingual~ Like all Milken Brownies the fencer speaks her native tongue, Tharian and the Helcrani dialect.
(In the
Brownie Tribe Table
, it is said that the Milken Brownies speak the languages of the Helcrani. I guess, therefore, that F’earns native tongues would be Helcrani and Tharian – although I couldn’t actually find any detailed information on Helcrani language. In any case, you seem to be implying that F’earn’s native tongue is something else – Browniin, I guess. Yet I don’t see why it should be. From what I read, the Milken Brownies have assumed the culture of the big folk they live with. Or have you got other information from a source that I have overlooked?)
All
three
(same point …)
of them are spoken with extreme fluidity and detailed vocabulary. She has been raised since childhood with all of these languages being spoken around her and to her. There is not a nuance amongst them that F’earn does not understand comprehensively and articulate regularly.

~Poisons & Toxins~ F’earn also possesses another brownie skill, the knowledge of how to concoct poisons and toxins, mainly those that cause sleep and or death. ~Duty Bound~ Because F’earn hunts vermin that inhabit communities, her life is in a constant state of jeopardy. Normally she feels obligated to clear any dwelling she stays in of rodents.
(I sympathize with this particular compulsion, as I wouldn’t like to share a house with vermin twice my body weight either!)
Although, this may be a righteous effort by the brownie, it can also be a very dangerous one. Following a mouse into a gloomy hole is a stunning plan of attack, but meandering into a nest of them could be terminal.
~Melodramatic~ The fencer is melodramatic to an extreme. When she is happy, her laughter will come across in torrents of giggles. If she is angry, her curses would make a sailor blush. If sad, the maiden will weep relentlessly and at immense length. When frightened, she may screech piercingly. All of these may be endearing at first but over time can wear on the nerves of
would-be
friends. Everything
(add comma)
to F’earn, is the beginning or the end of the world.
~Naivety and Gullibility~ F’earn is quite possibly one of the most naïve beings you will ever come across. Factor in that she is liable to believe almost every word out of your mouth, doesn’t unerringly assist her situation. The duelist habitually ends up looking like a total fool for believing what is unmistakably a lie. The more fanciful the story, the higher chance she is to believe it.
(Great roleplaying potential! I hope you’ll play her soon!)
~Solitude~ Since leaving home the fencer has found that once simple tasks have become complex endeavors. Without other brownies to assist her, larger vermin require days of preparation to overcome, if they can be at all. She has no one other than herself to fashion or repair clothing, which is painfully becoming obvious as she travels.
History
Around the age of nine her father
(You mean: When
F’earn
was around the age of nine, her father …
)
began to teach the maiden in the arts of swordsmanship. He was a master fencing instructor and F’earn was an agile and energetic student. Lily also joined her father around the same time, cutting the friends’ time together immensely, yet they sought each other out at every opportunity. Usually they would dine together in the human feasting hall with a multitude of family present on both sides. Afterwards the young ladies would wander off to play together, now sharing the accumulated knowledge that
each had
garnered over the day.
(What did Lily learn from
her
father? Swordplay also?)
By the age of fourteen F’earn had been assigned to a squad of rodent hunters. They would patrol the grounds of their family, exterminating a plethora of vermin. Spiders, ants, roaches, mice and rats were all open game for the brownie patrol and they excelled at their duties. The duelist was not as accurate with the bow as many others were, so she would take the frontline when the quarry would close ground
too
quickly
to
be slain from a distance.
The rodent’s teeth gnashed only a few nailsbreadths away from her,
and despite the shock
she was alive.
(Nice history! I especially like the relationship with Lily. I'm curious for more, though: in your S&W section you imply that F’earn has left home. If that’s so, I think you should tell us about that in the History. When did she leave? Why? Where did she go? What happened since she left?)
Weapons
~Long swords~ F’earn favors a two-weapon fighting style, using a heavy-bladed long sword of extremely high quality in either hand. The duelist’s father commissioned a master smith in Milkengrad to forge the weapons with her fighting style and nimbleness in mind. Both
of which
are perfectly balanced for her stature and strength. The hilt of each weapon appears to be the antlers of a stag, with the handle and pommel intricately designed in the form of a venison's face.
(Interesting choice for a brownie!)
Both of them measure about six nailsbreadths and seven grains from point to pummel.
Possessions
(No poison, then, at the moment?)

Thanks for the comments Fu! I apologize for the lateness of these edits. I fell into a local fund raiser for the tragedy in Haiti ... which turned into a poorly organized endeavor. All edits were colored for you, outside the points that follow.

(descend from?)
I used ascend as the listing starts with the bottom and goes upwards. Hope that clarifies.

As the strength mentions her slaying of rodents I perceived this as such: Even a hamster will become hostile when cornered and frightened. With the size ratio being narrowed so dramatically, I'm not sure a mouse would choose flight as frequently as it would with a human. Even with that said, these are but notations of how this strength has helped her. Hence not necessarily everyday occurrences. Hope that clarifies somewhat.

I went with the general indication from the entry, that brownie and human of the 'overall' family tend to follow the same profession.

Clearly my error. I had posted the remainder of her history, but must have removed it somehow in my haste to get the exclam up.
Also: I reworded the Multi-Lingual strength, so that it includes Browniin along with Tharian and Helcrani dialect. I wish her to speak all three, so balance should be weighed in that regard. Not sure how distant they are from their racial language, but it is an aspect I would like to keep.

Hi F'earn,
Well, I think this CD is ready for a look-over by a moderator. I like the way the history ends - you don't know where the little mouseketeer will turn up next!
Three little things I noticed in the added section:
Quote
The
brownies
final
memories
of the event was that of flight before darkness enfolded her.
... brownie's .... (possessive case) -- ... memory ... (singular to match 'was')
Quote
When she awoke, the sky was clear and the moon
shined
brightly above.
... shone ...
Good luck!

I've read through it and re-read through it. I consulted entries on Brownies as well. Even though I'm not a Brownie Gent (however, if I were, you would certainly catch my eye
), and am not an expert on Brownies, I like your CD and can't see problems with it. I am going to give you a

Thank you Dek! I'll just pretend you are a brownie, since you are a CD-Mod, you could be a dragon if you like.

Sylvia is a Milken Brownie expert! Maybe he can come along and comment. I am afraid to comment on Brownies without Rooks to back me up...
I must ask though:
1. Where do you get such lovely avatars for your CDs?
2. How do you make those pretty hearts in your titles?
3. I love your names.
4. If you wrote dev entries like you do CDs, you'd be a super star!
That is all.

All right, I'll Title you straight away. FYI, Venison is the name applied to the meet of a stag, not a synonym for a stag. It would be like referring to a cow as a beef. But, minor quibble.
Not enough for me to hold back a title after two approvals.
