BROWNIES





Race: Brownie

Level: 21 (Moderate)

Stature: ~14 nailsbreadths

Skin: Green, brown, red, blue, yellow, grey (rare), black/"ebonybark", white/"birchbark" (very rare)

Hair: Same colours as skin, might be a different shade

Eyes: Same colours as skin, different shade

What you need to know:
  • They're tiny. Really, really tiny. Just warning you - this is harder than you think.
  • Most Brownies stay in the Vale, without too much interest in going out to a world that is too big for them. It's not unheard of, but you need a good explanation.
  • They have their own language. If they're fluent in Tharian, you'll need a good reason why.
  • You will need a means to move about unaided by humans - on your two feet you won't get far.
  • All Brownies that are no longer children are part of one of the clans.

Level: 20 (Moderate)

Stature: ~14 nailsbreadths

Skin: Green, brown, red, (most common) blue, yellow, grey (rare), black/"ebonybark", white/"birchbark" (very rare)

What you need to know:
  • They are more nomadic than their Llaoihrr cousins, hunter-gatherers rather than the Brownie equivalent of farmers.
  • You will need a good reason to go your own way, since safety is in numbers.
  • As with the Vale Brownies, you will need a better means to move about than just your feet.

Level: 28 (Challenging)

Stature: ~14 nailsbreadths

Skin: Green, brown, red, (most common) blue, yellow, grey (rare), black/"ebonybark", white/"birchbark" (very rare)

Hair: Same colours, might be a different shade

What you need to know:
  • They are more mischievous, ingenious, nomadic hunter-gatherers.
  • Sub-divided into as many as 200 distinct bands of 2-500 members each.
  • Excellent riders, choosing rabbits or other small animals as their steeds.
  • Live on the island of Akdor, so you'll need a good story to get to Santharia.
  • As with the Vale Brownies, you will need a better means to move about than just your feet.




Race: Brownie

Level: 38 (Herculean)

Stature: ~14 nailsbreadths

Skin: Most commonly a muted/dulled green, brown, red, or less commonly a muted/dulled blue, yellow, grey

Hair: Same colours, might be a different shade, but very thin (some are bald)

Eyes: Same colours, different shade, large and bulbous

What you need to know:
  • Have a jutting upper jaw and small pointy teeth.
  • Live in reclusive dwarven caves in Nybelmar, so you'll need a really good reason for leaving, and a good story to get to Santharia.
  • Extremely superstitious.
  • Speak and unintelligible language.
  • As with the Vale Brownies, you will need a better means to move about than just your feet.

Level: 37 (Herculean)

Stature: 14 to 15 nailsbreadths

Skin: Pale white, covered in thick fur

Hair: Pale white

Eyes: Pale white, devoid of color, born blind

What you need to know:
  • Long, thin nails like claws, can rapidly scale rough surfaces.
  • Very savage, cruel, and merciless; hunt in packs.
  • Are totally blind, keen sense of smell, identify by smell and touch.
  • Superstituous, and primitive/instinctual.
  • Live in the reclusive Mists of Osthemanger in Northern Sarvonia; you'll need a good reason/story to get to Santharia.




Race: Brownie

Level: 33 (Challenging)

Stature: Varies (may be made larger or smaller through magic of the Void)

Skin: Red, yellow, golden, bronze, and white

Hair: Same as skin, different shade

Eyes: Same as skin, different shade

What you need to know:
  • Live in a utopian society, so you'll need a good reason for wanting to leave.
  • Live in the deserts near the Void in Aeruillin, so you'll need a good story to get you to Santharia.
  • Extremely accepting of all races and tribes, society is made up of refugees.
  • Frequently practitioners of magic, particularly lifemagic.
  • Travel and trade between many different worlds.




Race: Brownie

Skin: Green, brown, red, blue, yellow, grey (rare), black/"ebonybark", white/"birchbark" (very rare)

What you need to know:
  • These Brownies live in close proximity to humans, so they will be less wary of the bigfolk than the other Brownie tribes.
  • Jobs will be more closely related to human professions, helping them, since this tribe has no need to be self-sufficient.
  • Being less wary, they might be more open to travel, though again a good means of going about would be needed.

What you need to know:
  • Live in city sewers, city underground, plains, etc. depending on type, but can be found throughout the world.
  • Rat Brownie Types:
    • Mud Rat Brownie: Eyes, hair, and skin range from black to light, sandy brown; bodies are hunched and top-heavy.
    • Faded Rat Brownies: Eyes, hair, and skin are pasty white; all are blind.
    • Twisted Rat Brownie: Look most like rats, with tufts of hair on their backs and fangs on each side of their mouths.
    • Feild Rat Brownies: Eyes, hair, and skin primarily green/brown; live in fields and are quite intelligent.
    • Shadow Rat Brownies: Mythical/Restricted.
  • Tend to be immoral, with little respect for other races.







DWARVES




Race: Dwarf

Level: 22 (Moderate)

Stature: ~1 ped, more wirey than most

Skin: Tan

Hair: Black, brown, dark red, and a nondescript beige

Eyes: Common color ranges

What you need to know:
  • Work as caravan warriors and trail guides rather than smiths.
  • Live in dry plain rather than mountains, hence "Plain Dwarves".
  • Possess AnulOrn, or Water-Sense, allowing them to locate water.
  • Live on Nybelmar, so you'll need a good story to get to Santharia.





Race: Dwarf

Level: 21 (Moderate)

Stature: 1-1.5 peds

Hair: Black to grey, white with age

Eyes: Dark, almost black

What you need to know:
  • Live in Nybelmar, so you'll need a good story to get your character to Santharia.
  • Are primarily traders, always out to make a deal; struggle for wealth binds the tribe together.
  • Consider themselves survivors.
  • Are very proud, having a very glorious past--but are also friendly and honest.




Race: Dwarf

Level: 18 (Moderate)

Stature: 1-1.5 peds, muscular

Hair: Brown (whitens with age)

Eyes: Brown

What you need to know:
  • Live in the Prominent Mountains of Northern Sarvonia; you'll need a good story to get you to Santharia.
  • Masters at smithery; notable for their masonry/architecture.
  • Share a close bond to the Injerin Elves.






Race: Dwarf

Level: 13 (Normal)

Stature: 1-1.5 peds

Skin: Pale, almost pallid

Hair: Solid black, dark brown, or deep grey

Eyes: Deepset and large

What you need to know:
  • Live in the Mithral Mountains of Santharia.
  • Successful miners and skilled smiths/metalworkers, selling wares to humans.
  • Opinionated, forthright, peristent, loyal in nature, they are devout followers of Trum-Barol.
  • Have excellent hearing and eyesight.




Race: Dwarf

Level: 19 (Moderate)

Stature: Average 1.5 peds, leaner than most dwarves

Skin: Gray-brown

Hair: Slightly darker than skin

Eyes: Slightly lighter than skin, shades of gray

What you need to know:
  • Live in Northern Sarvonia, so you'll need a good story to get your character to Santharia.
  • Constantly battle with the Rhom-Oc.
  • Unlike most dwarves, live out in the many narrow ravines and winding valleys of the Imlith Mountains.





Race: Dwarf

Level: 12 (Normal)

Stature: No taller than 1.5 peds

Skin: Ruddy, ripe-peach complexions

Hair: Fair hair

Eyes: leaf-green, bright blue also, and mithril-grey

What you need to know:
  • One of the most accepting, open, and eclectic of the dwarven clans.
  • Unlike most dwarves, don't mind being above ground.
  • Live in the Zirkumire Mountains near Ximax in Santharia (many live in Ximax); fairly easy to get involved in stories.
  • Talented architects, and have a notable number of Ximax mages.





Race: Dwarf

Level: 14 (Normal)

Stature: 1-1.5 peds, muscular

Hair: Dark; reddish, golden, or bluish highlights common

Eyes: Brown or black

What you need to know:
  • Have thick bones that are hard to break, but make them poor swimmers.
  • Live in the High and Low Fores in Santharia.
  • Loyal, persistent, monotheistic (Trum-Barol/Urtengor), singleminded, opinionated, parsimonious and devoted to their clan and family.
  • Trade with humans, but only allow most trusted to their cavern homes.





ELVES




Race: Elf

Level: 22 (Moderate)

Stature: Shoulder-height to humans

Skin: Peachy

Hair: Blonde and light brown

Eyes: Green, blue, or violet

Lifespan: Up to 700 years

What you need to know:
  • Lots of mixed blood, so lots of wiggle-room for appearance.
  • Scholarly tribe, best known for gathering, spreading, teaching and recording knowledge.
  • Talented archers and mages.
  • Live in Bolder Forest in Santharia.




Race: Elf

Level: 24 (Moderate)

Stature: 1-1.5 peds

Skin: Usually tanned and freckled

Hair: Most commonly very pale blonde, less commonly strawberry and dirty blonde

Lifespan: Up to 500 years

What you need to know:
  • Giddy, lively, and excitable; known for fairy-like appearance and behavior.
  • Large ears resembling more of a cows, less pointed.
  • Live in the deserts of Aeruillin rather than in forests; you'll need a good story to get your character to Santharia.
  • Occasionally kidnapped and dumped into slave trade as errand-folk.

Skin Exceedingly pale--sometimes white

Hair Rust brown to red or gold

Eyes Pink or red

What you need to know
  • Albinism affects quarter of population.
  • Close neighbors of the Eophyrhim dark elves.
  • Live in the thick-canopied forest of Almatrar in Santharia.





Race: Elf

Level: 29 (Challenging)

Stature: 2-2.3 peds

Skin: Light, pale

Hair: Jet black, streaked with colours representing class/vocation

Lifespan: Up to 400 years

What you need to know:
  • Value beauty over most everything, extremely vain.
  • Have long canines; were once bloodthirsty, now very domesticated.
  • Naturally proclivity toward water.
  • Live in Northern Sarvonia, so you'll need a good story to get to Santharia.




Race: Elf

Level: 19 (Moderate)

Stature: 2 peds or higher

Skin: Lighter, weathered complexions; do not have the same ethereal quality as other elves

Hair: Almost uniformly blonde

Eyes: Soft grey, blue, occasionally green

Lifespan: Up to 600 years

What you need to know:
  • They live in Northern Sarvonia, on the islands of Eight Winds Bay, the western shoreline of the Peninsula of Kru’ul and in a splattering of other cities in Northern Sarvonia..
  • They are traders and trade with humans, dwarves, other elves and even the orcs and dark orcs of the region..
  • They find humans fascinating and enjoy spending time with them..
  • As sea traders, it would be rather easy for them to get down to southern Sarvonia..

Level: 27 (Challenging)

Stature: Around 2 peds

Build: Can be quite muscular

Skin: Pale

Hair: Raven-haired

Eyes: Black

Lifespan: Up to 400 years

What you need to know:
  • Live in the western part of the Gaeldorioth Jungle on Nybelmar, so you'll need a good story to get you to Santharia.
  • Very clan oriented.
  • Men and women perceived as equals, though each sex considers the other weaker.
  • Vain, power-hungry, merciless dark elves and people generally don't like them.
  • Most are warriors and hunters.

Level: 34 (Challenging)

Stature: Roughly 2 peds

Skin: Pale, slightly yellow

Eyes: Milky white irises, tiny black pupils

Lifespan: 500 years

Hair: Anything from icy white to jet black, with various shades of blue in between

What You Need to Know:
  • Live in a faraway set of islands up north (Cyhalloi), so you'll need a good reason for leaving.
  • Typically antisocial, which means you'll need a very good reason for leaving.
  • Due to origins, they are resistant to cold, but are rather intolerant to high temperatures.
  • Most Cyhallrhim tend to attempt to avoid conflict. You'll need a good reason to get involved in stories.

Stature 2.3 peds for males, 2 peds for females

Build Slender with angular forms in men and careful curves in the females.

Skin Very pale

Hair Straight and black

Eyes Various shades of blue

Lifespan: 300 years

What you need to know
  • Tattooing is a common practice.
  • Not fond of outsiders.
  • Known to be staunch and stubborn, unmerciful and uncompromising.
  • Grays, browns, and blacks are the common colours worn.
  • Known for being some of the strongest clerics of Coór.





Race: Elf

Level: 23 (Moderate)

Stature: Around 2 peds

Skin: Pallid and smooth; tattoos and/or aesthetic scaring not uncommon

Build: They are thin and look fragile

Lifespan: Up to 400 years

Hair: Deep rust-brown to a jet black

What you need to know:
  • They live in the Paelelon forest and are rarely seen by foreign travelers.
  • They have no government; just respect first towards clerics and mages and secondly to the best hunters.
  • Women do little in the way of working.
  • They are scary, merciless dark elves and most aren’t fond of them.
  • They are nocturnal.

Stature: Over 2 peds

Skin: Pallid white

Hair: flat blacks, platinum blondes with highlights of red, orange, and yellow

Eyes: Milky yellow to blazing red, or black

Lifespan: Over 400 years

What you need to know:
  • Twisted by their connection to the element of Fire.
  • Now less of a tribe to themselves and more of a cult within the Coór'hém.
  • Very political, skilled mages and swordsmen.
  • Live in Nybelmar, so you'll need a good story to get to Santharia.

Level: 20 (Moderate)

Stature Slightly taller than 2 peds

Build Slender

Skin Fair skinned, permanent blush about their cheeks

Hair Usually blond, worn long by both sexes

Eyes Gold or vivid green

Lifespan: Up to 600 years

What you need to know
  • One of the most peaceful races.
  • Prides knowledge and art.
  • Known for their longbows.
  • One of the largest elf tribes in Northern Sarvonia.






Race: Elf

Level: 19 (Moderate)

Stature: A little shorter than 2 peds

Skin: Reddish Brown

Hair: Blonde to Red

Eyes: Wide Range

Lifespan: 150 years

What you need to know:
  • Known to be more human-like than other Elven tribes.
  • They live at the Istarin forest near the Ancythrian Sea.
  • They focus on hunting, defense, craftmanship and certain kinds of Water Magic for daily living.
  • Nyérmer'rónn/ránn (War Leader) is considered the head of the tribe as well as a Council chosen by the population.

Level: 27 (Challenging)

Stature: Up to 2.3 peds for most

Skin: Their skin is usually of very light tones

Hair: Usually blond from golden to foxblonde, very rarely black

Eyes: Usually blue and green

Lifespan: Up to 700 years

What you need to know:
  • They live in the eastern part of the Fallaerion Gaeldorioth jungle the on the western continent of Nybelmar.
  • Social status is determined only by wisdom and age.
  • Rarely seen outside their realm in times of peace, so a good reason would be needed to come all the way to Sarvonia.




Race: Elf

Level: 20 (Moderate)

Stature Over 2 peds tall

Build Thin, but supple and elegant

Skin Pale

Hair Black or blond, often streaked with blue and green

Eyes Green or blue

Lifespan: Up to 500 years

What you need to know
  • Have very distinctive noses which adds to their birdlike appearance.
  • Finger and toenails are naturally black and rarely clipped.
  • As they grow old, the colour fades from their hair, eyes, and skin.
  • They live in trees all their lives, never touching the ground.
  • Maeverhim who have touched the ground are called "EarthBurned" and are shunned by the rest of the tribe; you must became "EarthBurned" to become involved in stories.
  • Maeverhim are found in the Sharadon Forest in Southern Santharia.





Race: Elf

Level: 23 (Moderate)

Build: Tall, broad, muscular, not ethereal like most elves

Hair: Straight blonde, from strawberry to pure white

Skin: Pale and weathered

Eyes: Soft grey, sometimes blue, green and lilac

Lifespan: 500 – 600, though many die early due to lifestyle

What you need to know:
  • Nomads living a very harsh life travelling the southern half of Northern Sarvonia.
  • Revere the sea as a mystery not to be explored and thus refuse to sail. Without sea-travel they cannot leave the north so you'll need a good reason to have them anywhere else.
  • No leaders, no set duties, everyone instinctively knows where to help out; jack-of-all-trades.
  • Mainly gatherers / herders who avoid killing animals unless absolutely necessary.
  • Members may come and go and receive special tattoos at mid-childhood.
  • Neutral - They hold both Ava and Coor in equal respect.

Level: 34 (Challenging)

Hair: White as snow

Skin: Ebony

Eyes: Large and dark

Lifespan: Unknown; may be immortal

What you need to know:
  • Live in the Water Marshes in the ruins of Fá'áv'cál'âr, and rarely leave its boundaries.
  • Prefer to stay in their shadow form.
  • Neutral; do not worship Coór, but recognise him as a facet of Avá.
  • All are equal in status to each other; ruled by Queen Avásh'aelía.
  • Self-sufficient and do not welcome trade of any kind.

Level: 17 (Moderate)

Stature About 2 peds

Build Slender

Skin Golden or olive

Hair Jet black, brown, bright red, or gold, but not light coloured

Eyes Ranges from deep shades of blue and purple to deep green

Lifespan: Up to 600 years

What you need to know
  • Very friendly and open, unusually welcoming to people visiting their forest.
  • They like bright coloured clothes.
  • Well known for enamel broaches and jewelry.





Race: Elf

Level: 18 (Moderate)

Stature: 2 peds or higher

Skin: Tanned, Leathery and sinewy

Eyes: Bright green or blue; develop white eyes in old age

Lifespan: Up to 500 years

Hair: Sun-kissed tawny brown to a pale, near-white blonde, usually tied up in braids and dreadlocks, woven with colourful strings and shells

What you need to know:
  • Virtually all members of tribe have some skill in water magic.
  • They live in the small Vontron forest in Santharia and often travel; it will be relatively easy for them to join stories.
  • Can supposedly talk to merfolk and dolfolk, but do not translate for other tribes/races.
  • Common professions are sea- or water-related (fishers, water mages, clerics of Baveras, etc).
  • They live in Santharia, and so it would be relatively easy for them to join stories.

Stature: Around 2 peds

Skin: Fair

Hair: Gold-Red

Eyes: Hazel

Lifespan: Up to 700 years

What you need to know:
  • Every child is tattooed with the Eye of Avá and the Tethinrhim Tribe’s symbol at birth.
  • One person governs over the tribe, male or female, called the Rónn or the Ava’ránn.
  • Following the Rónn or Ava’ránn, the Kaierian Warriors are the most respected people amongst the tribe.
  • They reside in the Auturian Woods northeast of the Gulf of Maraya in Southern Sarvonia.

Level: 24 (Moderate)

Stature: ~1.7 peds

Skin: Very dark; almost brown or bronze (darkens with age)

Hair: Young have curly, short, white hair; elders have longer, straighter, dark gray hair

Lifespan: Up to 700 years

What you need to know:
  • Ears pointed on the top and bottom, and pierced to show age.
  • Enjoy exploring, through usually stay in Aeruillin, so you'll need a good story/reason to get to Santharia.
  • Very serious and philosophical, but not shy, and will welcome strangers.
  • Great weilders of throwing axes.
  • Nomadic (move every 150 years).




Race: Elf

Level: 24 (Moderate)

Stature: A little over 2 peds

Skin: Pale colouration

Eyes: Blue, green or grey

Hair: Strawberry blond to ash white

Lifespan: Up to 550 years

What you need to know:
  • Speak a dialect of Elvish called Ylffer.
  • High concentration of magically-inclined individuals.
  • Natural propensity toward music.
  • One of Santharia's more reclusive tribes, living in the Quallian Forest.






GNOMES




Race: Gnome

Level: 14 (Normal)

Stature: just under a ped to a ped and a half (but the top of the range is rare); of slighter build than dwarves

Skin: Pale and sensitive

Hair: Black, occasionally dark brown; hair begins to fall out in middle age in both males and females

Lifespan: 200 years is common

What you need to know:
  • Live outside human cities.
  • Territory: East coast of Southern Sarvonia, provinces of Enthronia and Sanguia.
  • Trade with dwarves and humans.




Race: Gnome

Level: 10 (Normal)

Stature: just under a ped to a ped and a half (but the top of the range is rare); of slighter build than dwarves

Skin: Pale and sensitive

Hair: Black, occasionally dark brown; hair begins to fall out in middle age in both males and females

Lifespan: 200 years is common

What you need to know:
  • Aren't a tribe as such; Darans descend from Gnorian gnomes that have adapted to life in human cities.
  • Most Santharian human cities have a (smaller or larger) Daran population.
  • Are sometimes viewed with suspicion and prejudice by humans.






Race: Gnome

Level: 18 (Moderate)

Stature: Rarely exceed one ped

Skin: Pale and sensitive

Hair: Black, brown or reddish

Eyes: Black

Lifespan: 200 years

What you need to know:
  • Live exclusively in the Goltherlon Forest in Santharia, province of Vardynn, and rarely venture outside the forest.
  • Live in tree houses.
  • Are educated up to the age of 60.
  • Trade produce with humans, but guard secrets of their scientific achievements.
  • Possess knowledge of making explosives (“sparkfire”).





HALFLINGS




Race: Halfling

Level: 14 (Normal)

Stature: A little less than a ped

Skin: Soft tan to peachy

Eyes: lightbrown to hazel; rarely green

Hair: light brown or blond; occasionally light orange or red

What you need to know:
  • Very little contact with outsiders, fairly recluse.
  • Live in the Alianian Hills (literally) in eastern Santharia.
  • Proud of their untouched blood; call themselves "pure hobbits".





Race: Halfling

Level: 17 (Moderate)

Stature: 1 ped to 1.2 peds (females a little shorter)

Skin: Soft tan to peachy

Eyes: light to medium brown; rarely green

Hair: light to medium brown; occasionally light orange or red; curly

What you need to know:
  • Firendly to outsider, less recluse than most hobbits.
  • Live in the hills of the Silver Marshes in northern Santharia.
  • Likely to have fairly mixed blood, so there may be variation in appearance.
  • Proud of their compassionate involvement in past wars.

HUMANS




Race: Human

Level: 11 (Normal)

Stature: Average (1.7-1.9 peds)

Skin: Light skin, but not pale

Hair: Wavy brown hair (most common)

Eyes: Green (most common)

What you need to know:
  • Live in Nybelmar, quite far from Santharia, so you'll need a good reason to go so far.
  • A mixture of two other tribes (Kassite and Korwynite), so you can borrow traits from either.
  • Peaceful, extremely talented inventors/mechanics, but extremely lazy - obsessed with personal comfort.




Race: Human

Level: 15 (Normal)

Stature: 1 ped, 2 fores to 2 peds 1 fore for men; unknown for women

Skin: Pale/light, rarely tatooed

Hair: Dark

Eyes: Dark; green is uncommonly found

What you need to know:
  • Are the slaves of the Diorye'oleal dark elves and live in Northern Sarvonia; it will be very difficult to get to Santharia.
  • Serve as a military force for their masters, and are savage and brutal.
  • Men have long hair and beards, often bedecked with talismen; women are not seen.
  • Wear numerous tatoos all over their body.

Level: 6 (Normal)

Stature Usually 1 ped and 6 fores, with women being a bit smaller

Build Muscular

Skin Fair skin tones, but darker shades aren't unheard of

Hair: Dark, ranging from black to grey; some bluish shades prevalent

What you need to know:
  • Live on the Island Kingdom of R'unor; some trading so getting to Santharia wouldn't be too difficult.
  • Have their ears, nose, nipples and eyebrows  pierced at a young age; tatooes common.
  • Often seen as somewhat militaristic.

Hair: Fair (blondes, light browns), long and unkept

Eyes: Fair (blues, greens, light browns, etc.)

What you need to know:
  • Live in Santharia, and so are usually realtively easy to get into a story.
  • Tribes of craftsmen and artisans--known for cloth-dyeing skills and woodwork.
  • Used to be war-like, but now are more or less the "hippies" of Santharia.

Hair: Typically dark hair

Eye: Typically blue, although there are variations

What you need to know:
  • One of (if not) the most flexible tribe(s) of humans.
  • Typically great with horses, thus being nicknamed the 'horsemen'.
  • Live within one of the main areas of Sarvonia, which is the place where most stories take place, and that can save you a lot of time and effort.

Stature: Average, slim and wiry

Skin: Pale/wan with golden glow

Hair: Fair hair, commonly white blonde, uncommonly light brown

Eyes: Yellow of various shades

What you need to know:
  • Addiction do the jakécha fish gives them their sickly appearance but also heightens all their senses.
  • The addiction keeps Cholians from leaving home for first 20 years.
  • Located in Aeruillin, but as a curious fishing/sailing tribe, getting to Santharia probably won't be too difficult.

Level: 17 (Moderate)

Stature: Short around 1.6 peds on average

Build: Slender but well built

Skin: Copper coloured

Hair: Dark to black, cut short or head shaved

Eyes:  Black

What you need to know:
  • From the Naezshan Zhunith thirstlands of Nybelmar.
  • are physically fit, able to run for hours on end.
  • Excellent trackers.
  • Most learn Doimo Brawling.
  • Prefer to flee rather than fight.

Stature: ~1.85 peds for men, ~ 1.7peds for women

Skin: Pale/light, rarely tattooed

Hair: reddish or reddish-brown, women wear it long, braided, or coiled

What you need to know:
  • One of the more wide-spread tribes in Santharia; easy to get into a story.
  • Lots of mixed blood, so lots of wiggle-room with regards to traits.
  • Value law, order, justice, dedication/loyalty and are very militaristic.

    • Eagle Clan - Known for their sharp wit.
    • Bear Clan - Known for their creativity and hospitality.
  • Has a strong connection with animals.
  • Tend to wear simple clothing.

  • Have a special talent for languages.

What you need to know:
  • Favour swords, many that are handed down from father to son.
  • Are likely to be ruled by their emotions more so than most other peoples.
  • While primarily human, also include elves (originally Goltherhim), dwarves (originally Thrumgolz), and brownies (probably originally Vale).

What you need to know:
  • Live in Aeruillin (very far away), so you'll need a good story to get your character to Santharia.
  • Leaving the tribe is viewed as very dishonorable, particularly if done without permission.
  • Viewed as "crazy" by most surrounding tribes due to their belief in fae.
  • Friendly to outsiders.

    • Beireo: The Woodworkers of the Kanapans.
    • Sildereo: In charge of the grasslands where the bulls of Lofurno roam.
    • Careria: Shares responsibility of the grasslands.
    • Eferme: Lowest caste of the Kanapan clans.
    • Lorfurtinia: The preist sect of the Kanapan tribe.

    • Korenjaans: The stealthy ones
    • Stormsons: The sailing ones
    • Greendeaths: The alchemists
    • Echiilianni: The masters of combat
    • Nightsons: The jack of all trades (i.e. a little of all the above)
    • Darkpriests: The clerics (practice magic)

  • Cavalrymen and horse breeders of the Koryweynite Empire, and serve as honorable, brave warriors.
  • Taught at an early age how to fight in battle, society organized in militaristic structure.

Hair: Curly dark hair from brown to deep black, cut short and worn in braids

What you need to know:
  • Live in Nybelmar, quite far from Santharia, so you'll need a good reason to go so far.
  • Most have mixed blood, so there's wiggle room in some of the appearance traits.
  • Close relationship with the Kaýrrhem elves.
  • Rule the Korweynite Empire, which includes Kassites.
  • Discern between seven classes: imperial family, nobility, soldiers, artists, craftsmen, farmers and servants--you should choose which class your character is in (no imperial family members, please!).

What you need to know
  • Live in Northern Sarvonia, north of the Tandala Highlands (see map: Lands of the Kuglimz).
  • Are excellent riders and fight on horseback.
  • Religious beliefs differ from Santharians'; their highest gods are the “All-Mother” and  the “All-Father”.
  • Kuglimz are divided into ten sub-tribes (clans), which fall into two categories:
    • the Kuglimz'torik, or House Tribes, who live in fortified settlements.
    • the Kuglimz'ura, or Plain Tribes, who are nomads.
  • For your character, you'll need to choose a subtribe and adjust characteristics accordingly.

  • Mostly followers of Arvins.

  • They live in the easternmost kingdom at the continent of Nybelmar (Aca-Santerra).
  • Best-known and feared for their unforgiving temper and deep belief of their own superiority.
  • All people capable of magic become members of the temples.
  • Strictly divided into factions: The Nobility, the Citizens, the Allies, the Free and the Unfree.
  • Expert seafarers.

  • Ingrained code of honor known as "katmoh", which makes them use their strength to defend the weak.
  • Very outgoing, optimistic, and carefree with a brazenly cheeky sense of humour.
  • Female warriors are often tattooed with blue tattoos; men are never tattooed; it is a social taboo.

    • Shen-D'auras (Scent-People): famous for fragrances, darkest skinned of the clans.
    • Shen'Siuu (Salt People): live in and around the salt pans, reddish hair from dye and Hendi drawings on hands and feet.
  • Live in the Rahaz Dath desert of South Sarvonia.
  • Nomadic people who are masters of the aj'nuvics.
  • Matriarchal society.

Skin: Deeply tanned

Hair: Varies, but often brown

Eyes: Varies, but often brown

What you need to know:
  • Nomadic tribe consisting solely of women.
  • Leaving the tribe is near-unheard of so you will need a VERY good reason.
  • Located in Aeruillin, so a means of getting to Sarvonia is also needed.

Level: 23 (Moderate)

Stature: Average height, Wiry, sinewy, agile bodies

Skin: Dark to reddish-brown

Hair: White to silver, usually straight or wavy

Eyes: Deep green to dark brown and grayish

What you need to know:
  • Rather reclusive, extremely religious, and difficult for others to deal with.
  • Adults wear the 'Mark of Vikthi' in their hair.
  • Practice a type of magic called the "Spirit Song".
  • Live on Nybelmar and consider their home sacred, so you'll need a good story to get your character leave.

Stature: 1 ped 1 fores -1 ped 2 fores in height.; women slightly shorter.

Build: Emaciated looking, with women carrying a bit more weight in belly, breasts and hips

Skin:  Light blue in colour, especially around lips and fingernails; bodies are far more hairy than normal human, though not considered fur

Hair: Dark blue that is hard to distinguish from the black of other Ice Tribes

Eyes: Unusually large pupils that are an icy blue

What you need to know:
  • Live in the far North Sarvonia.  Extreme isolationists, so a very good reason to leave is needed.
  • Very aggressive to Mages and all practitioners of magic.
  • Misogynistic society, where women are simply property.

  • Have a sixth sense concerning trading matters.
  • Slavery considered acceptable.

  • Have characteristics of Krean and Anpagan men, being a confluence of both.

Race: Orc

Level: 18 (Moderate)

Stature: Almost as tall as humans, no more than 1 ped 2 fores

Skin: Dark green to almost black, skin thicker than human

Hair: Dark, often braided or knotted with decorations

Eyes: Anything from grey through green to yellow/red

What you need to know:
  • Females very much subordinate to males - not quite seen as property but limited in their roles.
  • One of the few tribes that keep wargs.
  • Live in herder/warrior clans in a set part of Northern Sarvonia, you will probably need a reason to have left this territory.






Race: Orc

Level: 27 (Challenging)

Stature: Usually 2.1 peds or taller, slender

Skin: Ill-looking paleness

Hair: Nearly white-grey with a slight tint of green or blue

Eyes: Red

What you need to know:
  • Live in Nybelmar, so you'll need a good story to get you to Santharia.
  • Delicate facial features, high cheek bones, elegant.
  • Very sensitive to light, cannot stand the sun, and are reclusive--you'll need a good reason to leave.
  • Fearsome, dark-hearted, skilled warriors and mages.

Level: 22 (Moderate)

Stature: Appear about 1.5 peds

Skin: Dark green/brown or even grey

Hair: Thick and dark, usually shaved or plated

Eyes: Red and yellow to purple and green

What you need to know:
  • Live in the Tandala Mountains just north of Santharia, so easy to get into the country.
  • Have developed a good sense for blacksmithing and mining.
  • Have a history of attacking Santharian settlements, so moving through the kingdom will probably be dangerous/difficult.

Level: 25 (Moderate)

Stature: Just under 2 peds, powerful and lean

Skin: Dark tones of brown, grey, black, and green, weather-worn

Hair: Usually worn long and braided

Eyes: Widely-spaced

What you need to know:
  • Belong to one of three clans (you'll need to chose one):
    • the Stoneblessed (Kaaer "Gyn’orchén")
    • the Mist Stalkers (Kaaer "Noq’vak'hol")
    • the Grey Keepers (Kaaer "Suk’rom’da")
  • Distrustful of other races.
  • Close to nature, shamanistic society.
  • Males prefer human woman as mates, and may steal or trade for them.
  • Live in Northern Sarvonia, so you'll need a good story to get to Santharia.

Level: 19 (Moderate)

Stature: Big and strong as orcs go, up to around one ped four palmspans

Skin: Pale green or grey, thicker than humans, often tattooed

Hair: Partially or fully shaven depending on status

Eyes: Red to yellow

What you need to know:
  • The most zealous and barbaric orcen tribe, hated and feared even by other orcs.
  • Females seen as property, and invalids or criminals of any kind likely to be made a slave.
  • Live in the Oro hills north of the Tandalas, you will probably need a good reason to leave.

Level: 25 (Moderate)

Stature: Tall (~2 peds or higher)

Skin: Raven-black

Hair: Black, plated in heavy braids to their shoulders

Eyes: Yellow to intense orange=red

What you need to know:
  • Live in the canyons along the Uiyujappa River in Nybelmar, so you'll need a good story to get you to Santharia.
  • Societal structure based less on family and more on a monarchy.
  • Relatively peaceful as a peoples, but have very bloody religious ceremonies.
  • Have their own written system and libraries/myths.

Level: 20 (Moderate)

Stature: Appear about 1.7 peds

Skin: Pale grey or green, sometimes painted

Hair: Mouse-brown, worn at the shoulder, may color white, blue or green

Eyes: Yellow

What you need to know:
  • Live in the Caael'heroth region of Northern Sarvonia, so you'll need a good story to get you to Santharia.
  • Mainly warlords and mercenaries, working for dark elven tribes as warriors.
  • Males and females more or less equal.
  • Suicide common among older orcs.

Level: 21 (Moderate)

Stature: Rarely exceed 1.6 peds

Skin: Deep, dark green that fades into surroundings

Hair: Long, worn open or in long braids

Eyes: Yellow or red, with normal amount of white

What you need to know:
  • Have tamed the great warg and use them for riding and hunting.
  • Live in the Heath of Wilderon in Northern Sarvonia, so you'll need a story to get your character to Santharia.
  • Are nomadic, traveling throughout the heath and living in tents.




Race: Orc

Level: 19 (Moderate)

Stature: About 2 peds

Skin: Dark skin thicker than the skin of humans

Hair: Women have long hair on head, but no hair elsewhere. Men have beards, but no hair elsewhere.

Eye: Varies from yellow to red.

What you need to know:
  • Considered the most 'civilized' of the Orcish tribes and females and males have equal rights.
  • Almost all members of their tribe are magi and part of the Ximax School of Fire.
  • Professions: Magi (male and female); Magus (male and female); Archmagi (male and female); Elite Guard (male - mage with magic swords) and Fire Daughters (female - very brave females who guard red tower using magic staves in combat).
  • Reside in Ximax City in Santharia, in caverns under the city.
