THE WEAPONS ARTIFACTS OF CAELERETH

ARMOUR - AXES - DAGGERS AND KNIVES - POLEARMS - SWORDS

Caelereth holds many amazing objects called artifacts. Weapons listed as artifacts are special in some way and retain qualities that set them apart from the normal categorization of weapons. Some of them are one-of-a-kind weapons, others may have unique magical properties, and almost all of them are quite ancient. These artifacts may be highly prized and are sought after for power or prestige while other weapons are lost to the world or are merely legend. Weapons artifacts known to Caelereth at this time are as follows:

I. ARMOUR

The Dragonward Shield

DRAGONWARD, THE ("SHIELD OF XIMAX")
This shield’s enchantments are said to have been potent, perhaps made by the founder of Ximax, Ximan Xuran, himself. The item's exact history and destiny is shrouded in myth, however, what is known, is that the shield had a harmonizing effect on the chaotic powers of the famous Orb of Ximax, which could be encaged with the assistance of the shield. Additionally the Dragonward had a high auratic component, enabling it to rally supporters from all kind of races to its wielder's cause. Return to the top

ES'NYEMÉR'CÁR ARMOUR, THE
When this armour is united with its brethern, the weight becomes little more than a shirt, and it does not constrain a person as normal armour. Truly made for a light, quick fighter in mind, it takes away the disadvantages of armour (restricted movement, weight, etc.) while keeping the most notable advantage, protection.

RITON'S BIRTH-BLADE, THE
The famous “Riton’s Birth-Blade” is not, as some Southerners seem to think, a magical sword, but rather a marvelous human-scale axe made for King Minar II’s first son of the Kurakim tribe.

IV. POLEARMS

The Elven Staffs of Ximax

STAFFS OF XIMAX, THE ELEVEN
The Eleven Staffs of Ximax are, if not the most powerful magical artifacts on Caelereth, at least one of the most notorious. The Eleven are all direct links to the magical stores of the Towers of Ximax, the town of mages, and have histories of equal magnitude. These staffs are the badges of office of the Archmagi, and it is through these that they wield the awe-inspiring energies that are the hallmark of the Lords of Ximax. Return to the top

V. SWORDS

AÉL'VÓL BLADE, THE ("SWORD OF THE KINGS")
A powerful enchanted sword with deep roots in Northern Sarvonia. It was called the "Sword of the Kings" in the ancient Mynian Kingdom, used by every crown member of the Royal Family from Minar II to Surian. However, it is more commonly known among Santharians as the compatriot of Or'injèrá and the second sword of Dygan Heartswind. Return to the top

A dwarf-forged sword, further enhanced by elven magic. At this time not much is known of this weapon or even if it really existed at all. Return to the top

The Forsaken Blade FORSAKEN BLADE, THE
The Forsaken Blade is an ancient artifact, currently in the possession of Lord Timeras of Remusiat, a human tribe in Northern Sarvonia. This black enchanted sword is said to once have been made by the Dark Chosen Alteth, whose tormented soul is now captured in it. GIFT OF THE DRAGON, THE
Legends say the Twin Swords (the Gift of the Dragon and the Forsaken Blade) were created by Alteth the Tyrant, the first Eilenachian emperor, an infamous sorcerer of Northern Sarvonia. It is supposed that Alteth created the swords when he was still in his youth. At this time details of the sword are unresearched. Return to the top

MIDNIGHT BLADE, THE
This blade is thousands of years old and was originally wielded by the legendary Bone Queen, the ruler of the shadow elves, then later dubbed the "Midnight Blade" and used by one of the Chosen. The Midnight Blade corrupts the powers of the one who wields it so as to create greater, if more demonic, effects. Specifically the blade warps the powers of wind magic to bring chaos and torment onto the world, and slowly maddens any mortal foolish enough to attempt to use it. Return to the top

OR'INJÈRÁ, THE ("TEACHING SWORD")
The Or'injèrá is an enchanted weapon with unique powers, one of a five-piece set of equipment. This blade was created with the purpose of teaching its user on the subject of swordplay. Among humans, it is known as "the Tutor". Return to the top

ROULLEN TSASKAGEAS SWORD, THE ("RAGE OF THE MYNIAN")
A longsword of exceptional make, known for its legendary sharpness. The sharpness of its edge was exceptional; it was known to be able to cut a hair on the water, or slice the hair from a man's head without touching his skin. It was even known to slice water or ale in two, so that it stayed in two pieces for several seconds. Return to the top

SWORD OF MEDOC, THE
Sword carried by Medoc Ileri when he was serving as the Captain of the Guards in Voldar before the time of the Dragonstorm (1650 b.S.). An outwardly innocuous-looking weapon of utilitarian, sensible design but in truth, the sword was forged from metal mined from the deepest of dwarven mines and branded ésh-dél (magical) by the Styrá (elves). SWORDS OF TWILIGHT, THE (NIGHTBLADE AND DAWNSWORD)
Believed to be lost to the mysterious depths of the Ancythrian Sea, the Sword of Twilight is a mythical blade forged of darkness and of light. According to the myth, the spirits of the hero Eyrin Fontramonn and the villain Saban Blackcloak are sealed within the blade. In the legends, the appearance of the sword varies depending upon the motives of its wielder. Each distinct look has a separate name, the "Dawnsword" and "Nightblade”. Return to the top

SWORDS OF FURY, THE
There are several Fury Swords based upon the more dangerous pure substances: Fire, Earth, Life, Ice, and Lightning. They are based upon the elements, with Lightning standing for Wind, and Ice for Water. The so-called Sword of Fury (without any elemental addition) has a conjured blade that appears to be a normal sword, but can charge it's substance magically at the wielder's will to any of the other types of swords.
