While doing some random surfing I ran across elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/a/l/altorres/amazon.jpg.html which is a great illustration of an 'amazon riding a zebra'....

From A to Z?  Anyhow, thought you two in particular would also enjoy it, so go have a look...

Thanks!
I wonder, why zebras are not used more often in fantasy settings - and if this kind of bra is really comfortable and maybe individually designed and adjusted, or if another design for a female warrior would be better :lol

Oh, my word!  :rollin

That's pretty funny.

I find it interesting that the artist thought it necessary to protect so much of her body yet leave her rear end naked.  Personally, thatd be an area you'd want to protect, I'd think, especially when riding.  :lol   But maybe that's just me.

Alysse, maybe the back is already so leathery from riding, that she doesn't need any further protection.. well, I'm no rider, so I can't tell... :lol

Well, she doesn't look all that comfortable in the saddle, either - note the straight legs and elevation of the tailbone - despite the fur padding!  :p

I STILL like the zebra and all its trappings.

BTW, did you know that horse trimmings (the various cloth hangings and pieces and tassels that go on it for a fancy parade or a mock joust) are called 'barding' (noun) ?   I love that!  (Of course, using a large needle to insert chunks of fat into a lean piece of meat is also called 'barding' (verb) .... sigh...)

Regards from the non-lean-no-extra-trimmings-bard,
Judith

yeah. This whole picture seems off... kind of surreal.
And not Fantasy-Surreal.

like... Magritte Surreal.

Ah yes, forgot to point out to Shabakuk that Chapter 5 is ready for testing - will do so now!

I am pleased it is going well for you though Seeker ... can't wait to try it and die. :D
18 May 2012, 09:35:13
No, I didn't Seeker. :( I think it is Master Anfang who is doing the testing

Dek-   shoals is going very well.  Art is starting on chapter 6. A very important chapter.  Did you test chapter 5?

Waiiiiiit!   (Bard staggers back with a pile of Unfinished Projects so high her arms are trembling)  Let me stuff mine in there before you lock the room!  *looks guiltily around and snatches the Quenyss parchment off the top of the stack*

Then I say we lock the Unfinished Projects room.  If Arti ever gets in there.... big trouble. rolleyes

I'm amazed you can see the Altario projects pile considering it is dwarfed by my unfinished projects. For which I apologise.

I think they're under that big pile of unfinished Altario projects.  :)
