I'm in the process of adding in more data into our new History tables - as I do so I come across the one or the other date that needs to be made more precise or moved somewhat in order to make general sense. That's why I've started this thread here, which will contain date related questions, which needs some input.

Ok, I start with a first question:

In the entry on the Narfost Plain we find:

Quote
Unknown - Shendar settle at the Narfost Plain
It is not known when the Shendar came first to the Narfost Plain. As long as they can think back they visited it during the spring when the young aj‘nuvics were ready for bonding and looking for a mate. Meh'met is a very old small Shendar settlement as well, its founding date is unclear, but it is surely older than Bardavos.

Talia, I know there are concepts (and a partly finished entry) on the moving of the pre-Shendar to Shendar territory after they were driven away by the Avennorians. So could we give that a rough date? It would even suffice to have something of millenia range (like ca. 10000-8000 b.S.), as it is necessary to give everything at least a rough place in the general timetable. "Unknown" references need to be changed, as one cannot sort a table by "unknown".

When do you need this? I have started with Shendar/Varcopas history some time ago and could pin down something, but would prefer to focus on magic just now.
Roughly I would say that the Darian emigration started quite soon after the Glandorians arrived in Ciosa (this date is fixed already, right?), maybe after 20-30  or 50 years? I think my not stupid, but a bit naive Darian will take this long to rebel. The last emigrations might occur after 200 (?) years, then all is settled, the remaining people have settled in with the Glandorians and the  Avennorians (mixture of both) are a growing force. Those who think as themselves as Glandotrians will survive longer, I assume.

We don't need perfect dates right now, that's why I wrote "rough" dates - having a rough idea suffices for now in order to set up the History tables. Dates of events can now be changed easily at all entries featuring history tables later on. So I'm simply trying to iron out very clear inconsistencies during the conversion already or give dates to something we haven't even sketched properly (like those "unknown" references).

Ok, so let's summarize your proposal adn put it in number: Ciosa was founded 11340 b.S. So let's say the migration started from ca. 11300 b.s. and lasted until 11100. - Okeydokey?

I'm amazed you can see the Altario projects pile considering it is dwarfed by my unfinished projects. For which I apologise.

I think they're under that big pile of unfinished Altario projects.  :)
