Is there any record of any volcano erupting in Caelreth because while sleeping last night I thought of something. I would like to put an entry about the darkening of the skies. Or is solar eclipse even possible in Santharia?

Coz I would like to enter and entry about the Black day or black sun or coór'injèrá in elvish (lit. Black sun)

The Hèckra is a volcano that broke out a few times, as was the Norong'Sorno in the Raház-Dáth Desert area.

A solar eclipse is not possible in Caelereth (solar eclipse= one body obscuring another).
An obscurance could happen through a major volcanic explosion or a void phenomena, but that would have a great impact on all people of Caelereth and may be a bit difficult to realise...

The Norong'Sorno btw is still active, lava is continuously flowing on its west side into the sea (like in Hawaii, Big island). But a big outbreak just now????

Or did you think of a historical event?

Don't we have some maps of the geological history of Caelereth?
Those would be good to look at when figuring out where to put new volcanoes.

I don't think that is a good idea Xera.  I am 99% sure that none of the area developers would appreciate you sticking an unplanned volcano in the middle of their territory.

Depends where you put it probably... I sneaked in an entire region of geological unstability when i wrote the Drifting Woods.. (hey, i needed vulcanic vents...)

Not to mention that the Norong'Sorno was also a later addition to the map... but an exception. I think the 'newer continents' will have more chances to see more volcanoes. I think Aeruillin has some, but that's from the top of my head, I'm not sure here. Eruptions of the Norong'Sorno have been mentioned, from Mount Héckra as well, but I'm sure some could be more elaborated and made into a historical entry Shansi, so I'd do some research here with what already exists on the website and see what you can come up with!

I am pleased it is going well for you though Seeker ... can't wait to try it and die. :D

Waiiiiiit!   (Bard staggers back with a pile of Unfinished Projects so high her arms are trembling)  Let me stuff mine in there before you lock the room!  *looks guiltily around and snatches the Quenyss parchment off the top of the stack*

and throw the key into the deepest river we can find, or the midst of one of the volcanoes

Then I say we lock the Unfinished Projects room.  If Arti ever gets in there.... big trouble. rolleyes

I'm amazed you can see the Altario projects pile considering it is dwarfed by my unfinished projects. For which I apologise.

I think they're under that big pile of unfinished Altario projects.  :)
