CUSCA QUOTES

‘Krean explorers named their first settlement after their first encounter with Great Sea of Zyloth: Cusca (which translates in the Common Tongue as “Hills of Salt” or shortly “Salt Hill”).’

'Many scholars agree that Cusca remained the preeminent trade center of the century solely because of the raw and finished goods these ways brought from all over the southwestern continent. Only two centuries later would these routes be entitled the "Great Roads" by the Emperor of the time and patrolled every hour of the week by imperial pike men.'

Cusca is the only Zhunite city close enough to the jungles to import enough Shághách pods to support its own Khofúhshátí industry.

The biggest citystates are Cusca, Kimbar, Hostar and Marmarra.

This drift is indisputably guided by the fine oratory traditions of Cusca, which, I cannot help pointing with a degree of pride, were prompted by the Krean ideologies they were exposed to. It is of little doubt that the height of democracy in Zhun historically corresponds to the creation of the city-state (under which the characteristically Krean decision making structures for the regulation of public life, such the Assembly of State, flourished). As the spoken word became the chief instrument of power, public meeting places where decisions could be debated and agreed to by the public sprang into life. You are very correct in noting my rather sceptical use of ‘public’; I am still shocked at how frequently and habitually the word is employed interchangeably for men (or to be even more precise: men of a certain social standing) in ‘public’ matters here in Zhun. You may very wisely point out that such political definitions often reflect the perceptions of the society they arise from. Indeed it is no coincidence that children and the uneducated do not have a right to vote in the Twin Kingdom.

Some cities (e.g. Cusca) also import several kinds of precious stones and glass from the Krean Twin Kingdom.

Sorry coren...Cuscan references a few....the others you requested will be up soon.

KIMBAR QUOTES

The remaining few, however, reached the grandest city they had seen so far on Zhun after two year’s exodus. The locals had named the place “Kimbar” after the immense river that ran to the east of the city.

http://www.santharia.com/places/karakan_military_outpost.htm

Four days ago during one of the many ostentatious parties held among the noble men and women of Kimbar was when the awkward incident had happened.

Suddenly the determined woman reached across the span of a fully blossomed Zhunite breakfast and got an unexpected but firm grip on his left sleeve. The abrupt move sent down half empty jugs and all sorts of little side plates that routinely attended a morning meal in Kimbar. Bright, blue strands of runes spiralled out of the gentle breeze and scarcely caught the articles before their contents spilled all over the white embroidery.

The biggest citystates are Cusca, Kimbar, Hostar and Marmarra.

The famous city of Kimbar takes its name from this gargantuan river, that the locals named after the most venomous snake of the once forested plains: “Kimb” (or “Cobra” in the Lillivear High Speech).

MARMARRA QUOTES

Although the Miaelean Sickness is an extremely infrequent visitor of the southwestern Nybelmarian peninsula, an advanced form of the disease claimed hundreds of Anpagan merchants and Rebel Forces in 1950 b.S. The High Temple of Ankriss held the Witch Queen of Marmarra responsible for the pandemic, but due to Déárán Sáládor’s intervention an open confrontation was avoided

Although hard to create, Miraje Finger Blades were the weapon of choice for many murderers in the west of Nybelmar, from the jungles of Shar to the dark city of Marmarra.

The biggest citystates are Cusca, Kimbar, Hostar and Marmarra.

Should we move these to the Nybelmar board or can they stay here? It would be best keep these within range of the Masterplans, imo but then Deci would have to do the editing ;)

Btw can you colour etc the titles so they stand out?

Is there anything on Hostar (may be mispelled as Hootar in the entries)?

I will colour them for you....

20 May 2012, 10:38:19
Ah yes, forgot to point out to Shabakuk that Chapter 5 is ready for testing - will do so now!
18 May 2012, 09:35:51

18 May 2012, 08:30:42

Then I say we lock the Unfinished Projects room.  If Arti ever gets in there.... big trouble. rolleyes

I'm amazed you can see the Altario projects pile considering it is dwarfed by my unfinished projects. For which I apologise.
