Developer's Distances in Caelereth

This compilation is meant for developers only and is not going on the site. It will be expanded further (soon), maps added, linked internally. Please do post any questions you have in this thread. (I have to ask to remove your post otherwise) Thank you!

Please be aware, that the distances are not reflecting the surface, they are just the most direct way from one point to the next, over the sea and mountains. Even in the few cases where there might be a direct connection, the road will bend, move in this and that direction. So it will be quite a bit longer than the strals I give you. The time it needs to reach a town depends anyway on the quality of the road and the landscape (and the means of transportation). You will surely need more time to cross the Mithral Mountains by foot than journey from Marcogg to Chondra with a horse.

Until I find the time to write a decent paragraph for this thread, please apply to your own submissions what I wrote for Azhira!

".... don't use exact numbers, maybe not even strals! There was nobody who went through the forest with a measurement tool. There is not so much difference between 81 and 87 strals. (I could have written 82 and 85 strals as well, it is all not exact!) And no Santharian researcher who knows strals would have done that. Maybe say, that a man on a horse needs so many days to surround the northern part and this many to surround the southern part. Or a man on foot needs this many days to cross it (which might be as long as surrounding it, the vegetation given..) It is not necessary to have exact measurements, my table should just give a hint for developers at the rough dimension of distances."

Tharoc, I surely have not too much time on my hands, I'm just neglecting my housework (*looks guiltily at dirty windows and a heap of undone laundry, not to mention that the cosmic dust mixed with an tremendous amount of cat's hairs on the floor needs to be removed before the visitors arrive*)
