Overview:

Temuuj Tartan (1000 - 1055 a.S.) was a Kaaer'dar'shin war chief and revolutionary largely responsible for leading the Kaaer'dar'shin revolt against the Osther-Oc occupation of the Themed'lon colony of Torik and Eph'denn in 1033 a.S.. Charismatic, proud and a proven warrior, Temuuj began his life as the son of an orcen labour master and a Kuglimz girl. Together with his son Torroth, Temuuj helped develop the stealthy hit and run tactics that the half-orc tribe is famous for as well as earn his tribe freedom from their Osther-Oc subjugators. Tartan's deeds have come to be immortalized in Kaaer'dar'shin culture as a festival is held every year in his honor to this day. Much of his exploits are steeped in myth and some quiet naysayers among the tribe even whisper that Tartan is not responsible for half of what is told. Nevertheless, the tribe change drastically during his reign as chief.

Appearance:

By all accounts, Temuuj was a typical example of a stout, burly half-orcen man. He stood a little over 1.5 peds tall according to most accounts. Many images of him depict a broad shouldered, lean figure carrying a spear or wielding two blades, one in each hand. He drew his hair back in a long braid in most warrior images of him while some of his earlier, younger days tell that he was shaven with many tattoos upon his scalp.

Tartan introduced the concept of stealthy warfare and while many images of the Kaaer'dar'shin show figures dressed in leathers and cloth, Tartan is always depicted wearing the strong and durable leather armor of the Tsor-Shotak lizard. The hide's well known black color and ridged appearance is easily depicted in Tartan's pictures. Most every warrior image after his reign shows the lizard hide being a staple part of the clothing.

No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith. And that, I fear, for any reasoning, conscious being, would be the cruelest trick of all.
