I'm kind of wary of the idea of a flying mount in Northern Sarvonia. Wouldn't this kind of completely discombobulate transportation and everything it encompasses (trade, culture, etc.)? Can't it just be a giant predator bird?

Good point, Gaffin.  And if they're meant to  be mounts, there aren't many people in the area except the Kanapan people, and they worship the Furno Bull as a god, they'd see this beast as some sort of monstrous demon for killing and eating it.  And I suspect the rock trolls would be too heavy to use this flier.  When I suggested this area I admit I was thinking of them more in terms of their predator status than that of mounts.  Are you still planning for them to be steeds, Tadius?

Well, who lives in Aldrige Falls? Not the Kanapan according the map in their tribe's entry.

This mighty bird is tempting to write and I thought, that there could be just a small group of humans/elves/orcs who would master to tame these birds and build up a kind of fast messenger system for the north to avoid the dangerous ground (independent ones, who trade with everybody and earn their money this way). The elves of the Hovel front are too far away and live too isolated, so it would have to be a new tribe. Or a subtribe.

HOWEVER, this project would be far too much for a newbie, Tadius, so I would recommend to work out this bird nicely as a predator only and once you have proved to be able to work on a bigger  thing (after your masterwork), you could expand this bird and make it to a riding animal? And for now you let it hunt the nice Kanapan holy cattle . It will be difficult enough to write someting decent up, with this complex situation.

Is it 'proved' or 'proofed' ???  huh

For the sake of all involved in helping me develop this great beast, I will indeed rid it of an riders. In fact, doing so will help me spin a little extra enigma about it, and allow me much more freedom to create as I please.  ;)

Thanks all,
Tad

I'm amazed you can see the Altario projects pile considering it is dwarfed by my unfinished projects. For which I apologise.
