I think that I might go with the first choice, you said earlier that placing stuff as unknown doesn't make the entry very desirible and I agree with you.

I can't find any currently listed words, that have Dao, Les or Daoles; Is it okay if I  make up a meaning?

Done and done.

All updates have been intigrated, and for all intents and purposes I think the Daoles has come up quite splendidly. grin

By the way, since Daoles is a unusual word, as well as adding a meaning, Ghostling Brownie word... Since they are supposedly growing gardens of Daoles, I thought they would have most likely been the ones to name this fungi, I also added a sounding out thingy... you know ( Ex_mort_is ) in the name section.

Just two things I noticed, Exmortis.

1) The first time you use the alternative name (Death Lantern) make sure you use inverted commas around it. Also, I think you might need to write it with a capital D and a capital L ... I'm not sure if you did that (I love the name BTW)

2) Sometimes you write ghostling brownie, sometimes you write Ghostling brownie and other times you write Ghostling Brownie. I think it might look better if you choose one of those versions of writing it and choose that. I think (I don't know for sure, but I think) that the Brownies are the one race in which the race name is capitalised wherever it appears in a sentence. I'm sure that someone who knows more about Brownies than me would be able to confirm or deny that.

I didn't have anything else to comment on.

Oh I love it! Great job, Exmortis. The entry fits much better with those revisions.

One little thing I would change is the name origin. Since so little is known of the Ghostling Brownies, translating their language is not likely. In other words...I have not developed the Ghostlings enough to really use them in a language yet.

I suggest instead having maybe the Mist Hunters name the mushroom. Since they are orcen and Kaaer, and they regularly hunt in the Mists, it makes more sense that they would give this mushroom a name. Maybe they call it something like "Gro'l Daoles" for "Dark Lantern" but the name was shortened to simply "Daoles" over time by other researchers such as Eleanna.

Make sense?

Otherwise, thank you for all your work and persistence, Exmortis.  thumbup You do a fine job taking suggestions and critique. I appreciate that.  :D

Oh, okay I can fix that meaning... but, uhh can I use a different word in place of 'dark'?
I just thought that you probably wouldn't call something like the daoles a 'dark' lantern, seeing as the daoles has few obvious qualities that could be defined as dark.

But thanks heaps for the approval.

How do you guys like The Cursed Lantern --> Ghun Daoles. I will change it to dark lantern if you guys think it is better; After all you guys have more experience than me ;).
