You enter Shabakuk’s study, but his famous swivelstool (with the cushion made of Carmaladian velvet) is empty. Yet you are not alone. A green bird with an enormous orange beak ogles you from its roost - a willow branch that appears to be floating in mid-air, gently bobbing about as if on invisible waves. If you are surprised when the bird speaks, you obviously haven’t read Shabakuk’s research report on the gossiper.

”Croaaak! The old fool is not at home, but if you tell me what you want him for, I'll let him know at the next full moon."

The bird puts on a self-satisfied smirk, and shakes its wings.

"Or maybe tomorrow, if you bring me a dreamlouse. Today if you bring two.”

Hi Master Anfang,

I've done that Gossiper Bird Game entry I mentioned to you. I'd be interested in your thoughts on it when/if you have the time.

Master Anfang,

I recently came up with an idea for a disease to do with gardening called 'The Green Thumb', a link to it is here. I pondered when I proposed the idea that it might even fit into the region of being an 'affliction of the mind'. Would you mind taking a look at it when you have a bit of spare time, and let me know what you think of that thought?

Thank you,

Dek

Hey Shaba! I made the edits on Rekj that you suggested, so I would be grateful if you were to take a look.

Thanks.

Yep, I was out canoeing - but I'm back now and look forward to reading the new biography of Rekj the pirate soon. Give me a day or two, Athviaro.

Heya Shaba and Dek! My Khaius Onderfaust entry is finished, but before it goes up, perhaps one or both of you can look at it? It can go onsite now or wait, either is fine with me. Athviaro and Fox gave some great comments and approvals now.  thumbup

A crossbow bolt lodges itself next to the gossiper bird's perch. Wrapped around it is a scroll which when unfurled reads:

"Shabakuk, need you input on an interesting case also, whether or not you're a gnome. Some confusion about that."
The scroll is marked in red wax with an ornate

Oh, thanks for alerting me, Valan! I had indeed missed that thread of yours. I'm busier than is good for me at the moment, but I'll have a proper look at Longstriding this weekend the latest. On first glance, your idea looks lovely and well deserving of the praise it already received.

A Hypalynx looks up at the Gossiper and drops a scroll in the study, just on top of the swivelstool.

When unfurled, the scroll reads

"Master Anfang,
Dek Hardin here. I've just done some research on Naios City, the Duchy of Gilden and The Red King Inn. I wanted your thoughts on part of the work on The Red King Inn. My Hypalynx will take you there Red King Inn. Of particular note, and the main thing I would like you to consider, are the musings of the superstitious folks there abouts of the three waitresses ... and whether it is possible/suitable for them to be considered in the way suggested in the entry. Also, I have suggested that you frequent the Red King Inn ... is that the case? and if so, would you care to put quill to parchment and put down a few thoughts on the establishment?

Many thanks for your insight,

Deklitch Hardin

PS How goes the swivelstool?"

Shaba,
Could do with some help here. Not much time to write, running from mad R'unorians. May have caused international incident. Not sure. Take a look when you get the time.

I'm amazed you can see the Altario projects pile considering it is dwarfed by my unfinished projects. For which I apologise.
