I think it's about time I gather my tribe's vocabulary and nomenclature. I've put this off too long and I am surprised how much I actually have... Please feel free to offer suggestions and/or critique. I am not good with languages. :P

I am trying to convey a sense of "elegant orcen" with the Kaaer language. It is a amalgamation of orcen, Kuglimz and Antislar nomenclature with a sprinkling of Styrash (from the Lost Ones' influence).

No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith. And that, I fear, for any reasoning, conscious being, would be the cruelest trick of all.

A suggestion for the Kaaer'dar'shin dagger? "hol'noq". A part of the stalker

Good idea, Valan. How about:

noq - stalker
h'ak - sword (blade) (orcen)
y' - small (orcen)

y'noq'ha'k (lit. "(small) stalker blade/sword")

pronounced "ee - noke (rhymes with "poke") - hack"

The word could possibly shortened from that formal term to simply "noq'hak" (lit. "stalker blade") which is smoother to pronounce.

Ah yes, forgot to point out to Shabakuk that Chapter 5 is ready for testing - will do so now!

*Valan filches some parchments from around the corners of the pile before sauntering off attempting to look casual and tripping over the hem of his robes.*

Waiiiiiit!   (Bard staggers back with a pile of Unfinished Projects so high her arms are trembling)  Let me stuff mine in there before you lock the room!  *looks guiltily around and snatches the Quenyss parchment off the top of the stack*

Then I say we lock the Unfinished Projects room.  If Arti ever gets in there.... big trouble. rolleyes

I'm amazed you can see the Altario projects pile considering it is dwarfed by my unfinished projects. For which I apologise.
