Another sub-overview to be linked to FOOD OF CAELEERETH OVERVIEW. If you know of any sweet food items that should be added to the list, please let me know.  You will also notice I need to add a description to a few of the items below.  Feel free to offer a suggestion, otherwise i will come up with something.

Desserts, Sweets and Confections Overview
Sugar, sugar and more sugar.  What goes better with a nice meal then a wonderful dessert.  This section of the Compendium is dedicated to those foods rich in sugar; candies, cakes, pies, and cookies.  Desserts, sweets and confections currently found in the Compendium are as follows:

BAYCH NUTS
Rather sweet naturally, these triangular little nuts are often tossed with melted milchbutter and crystallized honey to intensify their mellow flavour, then set in a hot oven to form a candied treat.

BROKEN CRYSTAL CANDY

A simple candy made from sugar, maple syrup and foridas juice. This candy may be served in broken pieces or on a stick like a lollipop.

BUTTERBALL DELIGHT
A hobbit favourite, these delicious balls of foridite and butter flavours melt in your mouth when eaten.  This delectable treat has become popular outside the Shires for any time of day or occasion. Between hobbit families, and those outside of the Shires who have attempted to recreate, variations can be found all over Sarvonia.  Children are particularly fond of these as they are small, sweet, and easy to slip into one's pockets unnoticed

DAINBEL PIE
After the ever-so-popular malsapple pie spread through the kingdom, it was not long before variations were made. The Dainbel Pie is one such variation. Using dainbel berries to replace most of the malsapples allowed the use of less foridite; thus this pie became a popular dish among lowly and rich alike.

DARK PETTIES ("CHOCOLATE PREZZERS")Chocolate-covered Prezzers are a combination of sweet and salty. The salty Prezzer taken and covered in melted Krath chocolate, is a perfect treat for those seeking salty and sweet taste at the same time.  Chocolate-covered Prezzers also have a variety of other names, the most prominent among them being "Dark Petty", "Kao-Kao Petties", "Chocoprezzers".

FÁBERIGE HEARTS
The fat red berry is sliced vertically to form heart-shapes, which are then dipped in sweetened cream or a thick kao-kao sauce. Very indulgent and considered a stimulant to romance.

HONEYED MELDARS
A popular sweetened snack or dessert: the sharp little apples are peeled and cut into bite-size pieces before having honey poured over them. They must be eaten with a sharpened stick or the point of one’s eating knife to avoid hopelessly sticky fingers!

KAO-KAO AND DOCH NUT COOKIES
Probably the most famous and popular cookie in Santharia, if not indeed all of Sarvonia! Who needs to know more than that they contain large chunks of chocolatey kao-kao and bits of mellow doch nuts, imbedded in a rich batter which is baked to a sweetly aromatic golden brown... and particularly excellent with a mug of cool milch straight from the dairy! Please excuse the marks on this page... kao-kao does tend to stain paper irrevocably...

KAO-KAO FRUIT BALLS KISSES
Imagine the taste of meldarraple, lorriv berry, dotchnut and dark kao kao all mixed up into one ball.  The deliciious Kao-Kao fruit ball kisses are a definite favourite of old and young alike.

KING'S FAVOURITE
Milch Semms are not eaten shortly after they came out of the oven, but that they were left to get dry, a delicious dessert can be created out of them, which the Santhalian people call the King‘s Favorite, due to a story of a queen who gained back the heart of her husband by inventing this bakery item.

KRATH CHOCOLATE (KHOFÚHSHÁTI)
The highly-prized confectionary Khofúhsháti comes in a variety of shapes, kinds, flavours and sizes. The favoured Lillivear sweet is made from the yellow-green pods of the shághách tree. The final product is a richly flavoured brown bar whose shape and color fluctuates with the demands of the customer and the type of shághách tree.  Some Lillivear manufacturers also practice a method to produce decidedly scented Khofúhshátí as well.

LOBRIRE'S DELIGHT
Lobrire's Delight is one of a most loved dessert among hobbits, originating in a small family owned bakery in Helmonds Shire owned by the Lobrire’s family. This sweet dessert was made by Mr. Lobrire’s himself while he was trying to create a pastry but found it very troublesome so he just poured the filling into a crust. He then found it very good, and started to sell it. Soon it became a sensation, every hobbit loved it and it has since delighted hobbits, humans, and elves alike.

LORIVLUVSThis delectable ‘cluster cookie’ is made with dried and sweetened loriv berries. The buttery dough is mixed with as many berries as it will hold, then dropped onto heated sheets to crisp in a well-stoked baker’s oven.

MAPLE CANDY
The simple balls of maple are simple treat that kids love.

MILCH SEMM (QUEEN'S SEMM)
The Milch Semm is an enriched variation of the regular Semm.

MOONLIGHT PIE
This dessert is prepared using the fruit of the cavernfire bush. A delicacy of the Susilgerim dwarves, the Moonlight Pie's specialty lies in its glittering light. Since the leaves and fruit of the Cavernfire bush are luminescent, this pie is as well. It is a Susilgerim tradition to turn the lights down low for the presentation of this dish, making it a perfect time for young dwarf suitors to express their love and admiration to their maidens of choice. This dish is often served during the Time of Choosing at communal gatherings, and is also said to be a traditional wedding dish.

NYERMERSYAN MERINGUES
This tasty treat has a number of variations, depending on what is available in one's area. It was originally developed in Nyermersys but has since travelled rapidly to other places and become extremely popular.

PARPALM FRUIT BALLS   link to Parpalm tree entry
Tasty desert treat shaped in small balls like a man’s eye or hen’s egg.  They are bake in a hot oven and served with a glaze of heated syrup. The dessert is set upon a fresh leaf from the Parpalm Tree and left to cool.

SANTHARIAN MINT KISSES
Kao Kao with a minty twist.  These are great for small parties or family get-to-together.

THYSLAN SPICE CAKES
These sugar-and-nut filled little cakes are sold hot-fried on Thyslan streets of a cold morning, and were said to be a particular favorite of the city’s most famous citizen, the sage and philosopher Kechelwan.

*Valan filches some parchments from around the corners of the pile before sauntering off attempting to look casual and tripping over the hem of his robes.*

I'm amazed you can see the Altario projects pile considering it is dwarfed by my unfinished projects. For which I apologise.
