Perab,

That is pretty close to what they are asking. However, a better description of what they are asking is: take an animal or plant that may have been mentioned in an existing entry, ask if you can do it (to make sure that someone else hasn't already asked to do it) and then do the entry.

It doesn't mean that if the original author wanted it to be a bird that breathed fire and ate flesh that you could turn it into a bunny rabbit type creature that looked cute and cuddly. You'd have to read what the person who initially described the animal said about it and build the entry around that.

It is a similar thing if you choose an existing entry that needs to be brought up to the current standards of the site. You need to keep what is already in the entry and expand on it. As much as possible, we try to honour what has already been said about the things that have been previously written about on the surface of Caelereth.

By taking on an entry that has been mentioned/nees updating as your first entry and doing it through to completion the hard work of integrating it into the world has already been done, as you've already got location etc details to use in your entry.

What I say in the above also applies to miscellaneous entries, however a plant/animal might be best to start with as you are used to the templates by now.

I admire your willingness to stay here in spite of the comments you have been getting. It shows great persistence on your part. Know that the comments, no matter how harsh they may appear to be, are designed to assist you so that you'll be able to design more plants/animals/places/etc in the future and know how to integrate them into Caelereth. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you, a non-native English speaker, to be part of a group that is written in English.

I'm giving you an aura for your stick-with-it-ness, a word which means you're sticking with it no mater what.

Please ask if you have any questions, Perab.

Agreed. As Dek said, we're here to help. And eat you. But mostly help.

mmmmmno?

That would more or less defeat the porpoise, wouldn't it? Surely there's something you'd like to create that has nothing to do with your other ideas (e.g. Ronoth)

I got a idea, I could make creatures and plants which I understand, which I know maybe everything about them, I thought I could make sea creatures (fish and sea crabs....) and sea plants.... what do you think?

I don't understand what is so difficult about what I suggested in this post, Perab. The list of animals and plants that have been mentioned in other entries are here for plants and here for animals ... look through the list, choose one that you think you'd like to do than ask in either the same thread whether you can do it, to make sure that no one else is doing it already. After you get told you can do one of them, work on it in accordance with what the person who mentioned it wanted it to be developed.

Seeker gentry approaches Perab and looks him in the eyes and whispers  "Focus"

I tell you what Perab, let me throw a carrot out to you.  If you finish this Caraberry tree within the next month I will draw it within a week of it posting.

HOWEVER it will never get done in a month if you don't focus and pay attention to what people are telling you.  Let me give you an example of what you can do to move it along:

1) Let the tree grow in areas outside of the Forest of Ronoth.  Maybe it also grows in the Venlaken Enclave or other such areas.
2) Let some animals that already exist in Santharia perhaps live in the tree, feed off the tree, or generally live around the tree.
3) Let some already developed tribes use its wood for weapons or building or something.

In other words don't make it exclusive.  This is not YOUR world  we are creating.  It is OUR world (you being included in that)

Seeker slowly backs away mumbling as he leaves and waving his hands in circular motions in front of him "Focus, focus focus focus focus"

I'm amazed you can see the Altario projects pile considering it is dwarfed by my unfinished projects. For which I apologise.
