There's a thing called Nanowrimo. it's where a whole bunch of people from all over the world sign up to write a novel over the course of a single month- fifty thousand words. the aim is supposed to be to get it done, not to stress over getting things perfect and to fuss around with editing and all that afterwards.
oh gods what have i done? undecided
so, november is the month, and what with deadlines from uni and trying to get as much stuff sorted out beforehand, i will quite likely be around only sporadically till maybe december. i'll try and stop by before then, but during november i can't promise anything. :P

Great! :)

I would love to have the time to do it some day!

Are you planning to write something Santharian?

Btw, the outcome of such a Nano.. is already on the site!

Wow, this is brilliant, thanks for pointing it out Talia! (btw, i like the shiny new name grin)
Fraid my story probably won't be very santharian, as i'm basically scraping together all the ideas floating around i could and trying to hammer a story out. ;) haven't really thought this through.

Hah, brilliant: I'm going to be attempting the wonderful madness of Nano myself this year! I discovered it last year, but family troubles in November stopped me taking part. I'm optimistic seeing as I finished a novel that was probably around 250,000 or possibly even over 30K in under a year a few years back, but the limited time is going to make it veeery interesting. Then again, it's only 1667 words a day, right? Right? buck

This is my profile, if anyone's at all interested. Feel free add as a friend, bother, stalk etc. Oh, and you wouldn't mind if I added you as a friend, Cruci? We santharians have to stick together, after all.

Good luck seth, Dek and Cruciform!

Thanks. And I'm that guy who added you, by the way.

And 1,667 words a day isn't hard. When I write, I write upwards of 2,000 words in a single session, so I don't see what the fuss is about there. I just have trouble keeping up my motivation. I have Commitment Issues.

Either way, I've been up and coming with my writing recently, and I should be able to pull through this year and get stuff done. If it wasn't for the tightish schedule, I wouldn't do NaNo... but I need the motivation and routine.

I have no trouble getting about 2000 words in a day/session ... where my problem comes in is finding 25 days/sessions in a month to write it.

I'll trade you some of the time I have in my day (because I have far too much) if you help me find a job (which, as a fellow citizen of Brisvegas (and oh, how I loathe that term), you should be helping me do anyway :p).

I mean, I generally have around 24 hours a day free, except for when Dad needs me to do stuff or when I'm sleeping. So yeah... trade ya?

I JUST signed up for it, and am pulling an ancient idea from the depts of my mind for this.

My name is Agran Velion on there. I stole was inspired by Cruciform using his character's name. Of course, Agran is an ancient character that no longer has any chance to be in any of my stories, he's more of my advisor.

A character's name? Do you mean my NaNoWriMo username? That, dear sir, is my pseudonym; it is my nom de plume. That, dear sir, is no character of mine. I am a character of his. Good day, sir. *Doffs hat cordially*

Very nicely put.  I doff MY hat to you (and yes, it just so happens that I AM wearing a hat - to class, even!  It's a little green Malaysian 'songkok' that looks great with the green Malay men's tunic, also known as the baju melayu... but it's rather wasted on my culturally-illiterate students...)

Hello all! It's been a minute since I poked my nose in here. Can't remember if I ever did anything useful.

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers

Short note: We had a bit of downtime Friday/Saturday night due to a server change. Site went online first, message boards took a while longer - now everything should be back to normal.
