Twilight Rose

Categorization:

Flowers

Basic Overview:

A small and picky rose, which cannot decide what color it want, so it took the color of the twilight, colored black as the night and white as the day. Innocent in white, often she looks like a simple small rose. The bloom of the rose you will se when the day falls and the night isn't born.

Appearance:

The Twilight rose is a small rose growing partly in the shadow, still it needs the sun, but it cannot be put directly into it. The reason are the sensible black and white petals of the flower. The thorns of this rose are much smaller as the thorns on other roses. Still it isn't bigger than 2 and a half palmspans. It is growing only during spring, sometimes during the half summer, but rarely. The plant needs a mild climate. The stalk of the flower has a very dark green color.

The rose is always growing near bushes, trees and rocks, near things which provide shadow. The rose can grow in a crowded area, it does not need much water and space.

Teritory:

The Twilight rose can be found on the continent Sarvonia, mostly in the forests of Sarvonia. Because of the vegetative clime of Sarvonia it has all conditions to survive there.

Reproduction:

The reproduction base of the rose are the petals. They produce the pollen formed seeds. Bugs and the wind transport the seed. The seeds fall on the ground and with some luck they will met all the conditions the flower needs to grow and they will germinate.

Myth/Lore:

The Twilight rose is called so because it is colored black and white, still her bloom people can only see during twilight.

Many Symbols:

People took the rose as a symbol of "Lost Romance", a symbol of hopeless passion. As other roses symbolise romance and love, this one symbolises hatered and jealousy. The human tribes often say that the rose is a symbol of forgiveness. The Styrásh tribes take the rose as a symbol of change.

The Hopeless Luck:

For the successful one the rose is a "curse". Believing that the rose brings luck to these who have nothing and failure to these who have everything, the rose is hated by rich and successful people. Unlike to the rich, the hopeless are blessed.

I could comment the heck out of this, but i'll summarise;

More. More connections to the world, more details about how this rose interacts with, well, anything you can imagine; plants, beasts, people, folklore, places and their history, you name it.

Oh, and one seemingly simple question. Why a rose?

So Perab have you given up on the Numia bell spirit, Forest of Ronoth, Ronotheyan Dragon, Red Letters, Caraberry Tree and the Water Image Spell?  Did i miss anything?

Which one would you like us to concentrate on?  Perhaps if we focus we can get your first entry finished.  thumbup

@Miraran: Well, I am still working on the roses lore/origins... about the relations with beasts and people, I will try to research about Sarvonia more to finish this...

Why a rose? Well, roses I think are my favourite flowers, they are mysterious and romantic.

@Seeker: Don't worry, I haven't give up any of these, I am still working on them, but you all are right, I should first try to finish the Ronotheyan Dragon, but there is much to edit, first of all the name... about Numia, I will leave her for now, I will finish this entry after I get more expirience... The Carabery tree is finished, well I have nothing to add there for now. The Forest of Ronoth, well I don't know, someone should see if there is missing something, I think I finished it...

BTW: you forgot the Rallab... grin

There is much to do, well and it isn't easy to work on all of them in the same time, it is the best to do it one by one.
