I'm a little disappointed that someone who put this much effort into a project feels his efforts were in vain and must drop the entry.  Then with little regard for that (or so it seems) it is picked up and approved for someone else to take it over.

Would it not be more prudent to see if there is a way to see if Drasil can finish this?  Just seems a bit callous in my opinion.

I have to agree with Alt here.. While I am unaware of the full extent of the situation and events, the speed with which it is approved that someone else pick this up is shocking. Valan and Drasil, by the sound of things you two have obviously attempted to make things work, but agreed that it's not possible between the two of you.. could we maybe get someone impartial into the situation to hear both sides and try look at the case? Kalina, I obviously have no objection to you possibly working this entry ^^ I just feel that this tense situation is something we should resolve first, rather than sweep it under the carpet, for the good of the community as a whole. Just my thought though, Jonael

Gentlemen, I respect your opinions but Drasil has made his choice, and as he has found this entry so unpleasant, I would suggest we all accept it and move on.

I do apologize to Drasil and everyone else if my comments were overzealous but as a moderator I am supposed to help move these entries along and, as it is, the other overviews on site, not just the poisons overview, have tended towards the same minimalist style I've suggested Drasil apply here. It is, as always, up to the author to decide if they want to apply the suggested changes.

Now, as to the matter of the entry, Drasil has seen fit to permit anyone who has it in mind to finish this entry to do so. As a note to Kalina and any other with that aim, I do expect that the comments I've left here will be taken into account.

I assume, that at least both are noted as authors?

Or else "information provided by various authors" Talia, it would depend on the direction this takes.
I'm behind a content filter that doesn't get along well with the main Santharian site, or else I would look up what the existing entries use. I would assume that given that there's little or no new content here (most of it is already on the site) "information provided by various authors" would be the ideal title.

I disagree. Chronusian and Drasil have invested time and energy into going through the Compendium, identifying the relevant plants/animals, reading through the entries and collating the information. Even if the actual wording they used never makes it to the site, that effort should be recognised. :)

Why shouldn't we include a reference along the lines of: "Originally compiled by Chronusian and Drasil; edited/updated by Kalina." (The wording of course can be altered to take into account everybody's respective contributions.)

If/when, the next entry needs to be approved this matter can be discussed I think.

If no one objects, I'm going to lock this thread. Just to avoid further "me-too-ism" (not to offend anyone) and any confusion with a potential second thread for this entry. Any questions may be addressed by bell-ring or in the next thread through polite and reasoned discussion.

...why wouldn't they get credit? O.o

I am a bit offended that anyone would assume past authors wouldn't get credit for the efforts. Really people, have we really come to distrust each other so?
