Hi.
« on: 04 June 2011, 20:57:41 »

Hi. I'm new here, and I just wanted to introduce myself. I love fantasy and writing. I'm interested in creating things like magic and Gods, but I will work on anything really. If anyone could give me advice, that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Well, it seems to fall to me to welcome you to our community, Dieren!

Have some cookies, and something to drink. I'm not a magic or religion expert, so ask one of them about getting into that, but I suggest that you get started on a beast or plant that really grabs your interest to get your feet wet. There are lists of existing but undeveloped plants and animals, and weapons, in the relevant forums (Misc. for weapons and so on), as well as of entries that need revision to expand them beyond just a few lines or bring them up to the standards of the site.

So just get stuck in. If you need to find something out, read the Compendium by section - the little icons in the top left of the main site, the green orc and the others - or search by clicking on the little magnifying glass in the corner of that little group. If you're still confused, just post and ask.

So Happy Developing!

Hey Dieren!

I hope you follow through on your plan to work on magic.  It would be great to have some activity in that department again!  Before you get started on any spells, I'd suggest you Coren's Lectures on Magic, which can be found under the magic menu (the icon with the book containing the five pointed star), to get a grasp of how Magic works around here.  In addition, there are some great entries posted for comments on the magic board right now that should help you in getting an understanding of the Ximaxian system.

I also serve as one of the bestiary mods, so if you have any questions in that regard feel free to contact me as well.  It seems Athviaro summed up pretty well how to get started though, so just follow his advice.

Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions.  I look forward to working with you!

Hello! Welcome to Santharia! I do hope you enjoy your stay :D We are all quite friendly about these parts, but I can't say the same for some of the other occupants (namely dragons). They tend to be quite wary of new arrivals, but don't worry about them too much, they are my pets.
