There is a problem we need to address, the succession of the Santhrans:

The entry about Santharia (and the titles and ranks one also) says:

Quote
While the King in the ancient kingdom of Tharania was used to be selected by his predecessor, thus making him a family member or an advisor for example, the Santhran is elected among the Thanes of the provinces in the so-called "Thanemoot", a gathering held usually shortly after the Santhran's death. At rare occasions, when the time of death of the regent is obviously imminent or the Council of the Linked Hands sees the necessity to elect a new Santhran, the Thanemoot will take place while the Santhran is still in office.

What does "among" mean - that the new Santhros has to be a thane first, that he is chosen out of the circle of thanes, or that the thanemoot confirms/chooses (any) one. We have in the time after Santhros, then in our current time a succession from the father to the son. So, has the follower to the throne been the thane of Sanguia before? Or could 'among' be interpreted, that it has not to be a thane, but that the thanemoot chooses anyone , either from their circle, but from outside also`?

If the new Santhran has to be a thane before he can become santhran, there will be a way to work around that also, but it is more difficult and I would like to have this cleared. :)

I thought I'll add some sentences and change some wording, and now I'm led deeper and deeper into history..

Question: Would Santhros, as legal follower on the Tharanian throne and as therefore follower of the King Thar, who followed the Erpheronian king and warlord Karthach of Ishmarin get the sign of the "Oath of the Young" burned in?

Well, I would say that in general it makes sense that a Thane is picked to become the Santhran. Because we get someone with experience then, someone who has managed a huge province already before, and provinces are pretty much the size of a whole kingdom. Also cool would be a rule that the Thane needs to be from another province next time around.

However, this idea might have developed historically. When the first Santhran was elected the Council of Linked Hands was caught off guard and the decision was made without taking all points of concern into consideration, and there was pressure by certain noblemen. Later the Council could have revised this and came to the new solution which led to better satisfaction for various parties, also contributing to the fact that we get a "Golden Age of Kings".

"Oath of the Young": Yeah, all Santhrans get the tribe signs burnt in, that's the idea.
