Hi Desloma! Welcome to the dream! It's great to hear you've liked what you've seen so far. We'd love to see what you can contribute - it's generally suggested that new arrivals start with a simpler sort of entry - something in the bestiary, herbarium or miscellaneous sections, usually. As an inveterate lover of all things creepy-crawly, I'm biased towards the former of those, but I'd suggest taking a look round, and seeing if anything springs to mind. in the meantime... well, I'd offer refreshments, but all I seem to have on me are beetles and something horrible that came out of a dragon.

hopefuly Judy or one of the others will show up with something more palatable.

There's no telling who might turn up at the Compendium on any given day and we don't need to frighten away potential apprentices with your beetle snacks and ...er, is that a dragonburn on your arm?

*quickly whips out a little bottle of Brandi's Ointment and proffers it to Seth before turning to greet the newcomer*

Oh, dear, hello! It's always busy around here and you seem to have picked a good morning to drop by. This is the great Sage, founder of the Compendium and our Webmaster who holds all the chains of the Hypalynxes and the weave of the magic, Artimidor Federkiel himself.

*drops a quick curtsey and a wink at Artimidor*

And this is, um, Seth. You will learn to love her, but I do hope you aren't nervous around insects and small scuttling things. And don't go on a tour of Mira's greenhouses with her, either!

Oh, yes, I'm Judith. They generally call me the Bard around here. Somehow I always seem to have to provide food for the newcomers, even though we have a perfectly competent Chatelaine.
Have some of these Dochnut and Kaokao cookies; much better than fried beetles. And we like the Artiwine, or if you want something non-alcoholic there's always plenty of cha'ah on hand.

Oh! A newcomer! Welcome to our Dream. Just to second what our dearest Bard said, you will come to love Seth, if not her habit of keeping crawly things everywhere, but equally don't let her tour the greenhouses with you.

Wait, what am I saying? Don't let anyone tour the greenhouses with you, unless you have several vials of weedkiller guaranteed to work on seven fore carnivorous foliage within five blinks to hand

Enjoy the snack, allow your creativity to flow...and welcome to Santharia, Caelereth, the Compendium, and all those entail. I'm Athviaro; most people just call me Ath, Seth and others are known to have called me Athvi, and if you want to be very formal it's Athviaro Shyu-eck-Silfayr.

So what are your interests in terms of developing? Any desires to do anything in particular - animals, plants (remember the weedkiller!) or pointy bits of metal? As Seth said, it's suggested that you start with one of these. You can get to each through the main forum, or just down here: *Athviaro points down corridors with signs reading "Bestiary", "Greenhouses" and "Miscellaneous".* I'll point you in the direction of some extant but unresearched ones in just a minute.
