Great to see you back with another picture, Judy! cool A very cool topic you've chosen, and it's very well done once again! Tiger (especially the head) and the woman are spot on I'd say, and the tapestry lends the whole scene a bit of royalty. Very effective are such details like the cloth stretching over the stair and it's shimmering at the curb - lovely!  cool

The only thing that seems a bit off is the perspective, because the elevated floor part makes it look as if the right side is higher up - it looks a bit unreal if you consider how much of the elevated floor you can actually see, it should flatten out more realistically. The perspective looks a bit like a photograph taken from close by, so that the viewer stands in such a top angle above the scene. (Maybe that could impression could be fixed a bit with quenching what you can see to the left of the woman, though, if you know what I mean.)

But that's it really - great to see you busy with drawing again, Judy!  thumbup

BTW: I'm not aware of a white tiger existing anywhere in our world, yet... So in case we don't have one yet: Whoever is willing to write an entry, this would be your opportunity to get something done with a picture already right at hand!

Aura +1 of course :)

Aura from me, too! I'd call it "White Tiger with Princess", though, because for me the tiger steals the show (in the best possible way). He (or she?) looks like someone I could talk to.

A Santharian art critic, though, would undoubtedly scoff at my suggestion and would mayhap insist that this picture is about temptation and the danger of giving in to it: allow yourself to fall in love with a princess, and your unfulfilled desire will stare you down - and indeed, if you approach too near, will tear you to pieces ...

Anyway, I like the evocative tiger face, and the ambiguous position of the front paws (relaxed yet ready to get up any blink).

In terms of things to consider if you were to make a second version:

- I agree with Arti's comment about perspective, although I wouldn't know how to fix it.

- I keep wondering where the princess's legs are. The curve of her back suggest that she is sitting on her feet in a slightly lopsided way - but if that were so, I think we'd see the sole of a foot or two under her right buttock? Or at least a few toes? ... Or is she warming her feet under the tiger's belly? Somehow I can't 'see' it. But maybe that's only me?

- The bit of 'tiger's body' between the tail and the top back leg looks odd to me. As though the tiger had a superfluous bit of flabby skin hanging from its backside.

- The tiger's eyes are different in size. Is that intended? I think the right eye (observer's point of view) looks too small.

All in all, though: marvellous picture. The royal hair is rendered most exquisitely and, indeed, seductively!

Very nice indeed - in fact, I think that exquisite is not an unmerited descriptor.

I have no comments, being an ignoramus of the highest order when it comes to artistic criticism.

Note to self:  see above, plus -
tiger's fur needs sharpening and yellowish accents over the body to match the face
shadow the rump to round in below tail
lower the top of the hair so her skull does not look unnaturally long - possibly lower the hairline on forehead

No! Don't touch her head, it is fine, please no lowering of the hairline, she would look less noble I think.

A nice kitty you have here :) I think though, that its hindquarters could be a bit stronger, especially its paw bigger;tigers do have paws the size of dinnerplates!

What I admire most is the skin of the princess - so smooth!

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.
