This was languishing on my computer for the last several years at about 80% done.  Winter vacation means I finally have time to see to some of these unfinished illustrations!

Please enjoy 'The Hermit's Northern Woods Cabin' :

Another great, moody picture, Judy, which instantly gets you another aura +1! This really looks like a beautiful place out there somewhere in no-man's land, in the heart of nature... Definitely a place to just dream away and enjoy the landscape! Excellent! thumbup Now we only need to find out who lives there and why to get this one into an entry!

BTW: Don't forget to add a link to the enlarged version if you add only small size pic - one might miss all the lovely details. Large version is here BTW (assuming your Facebook page is accessible to the public, Judy).

This island looks familiar. So does the boat. And so do the reeds and the rocks sticking out of the water. Judith, I never noticed your following me on my canoeing trip across Swedish lakes. You could have told me!

Anyway, now I want to go back there. Marvellous scene, wonderful light on the water. Aura for making me nostalgic!

Where in Santharia would this be?

But for the trees, I'd be almost inclined to suggest it is the home of the noted Blue Druid Steferin the Blue on Únn'chrónn (Big Island) in Eight Winds Bay. However, I'm sure there would be other places around Caelereth that would be better suited for Judith's picture. Besides, the water looks too still to be Eight Winds Bay. :)

Judith, I also auraed you, and will be looking forward to auraing you again once I'm able to

Oh, thank you Dek, for yet another fun picture idea.... (mutters to herself and scribbles notes to research Eight Winds Bay...).

However, as you note, this is actually a far northern picture - inspired by where I grew up, which must have been very similar to Shaba's Swedish lakes...Northern Ontario, in Shield country.

I suspect this is actually a Research Shelter, built for the convenience of our Compendiumists in their far-flung wanderings by some local researcher of the flora and fauna, who wished to leave his/her mark and support the Compendium after his/her days were over...

Wow!  Compendium Waystations!  We need 'um!   Anyone?  (tries not to let her brain go all fizzy just before midnight in Korea)

Are Shabby and Dek the same person in my mind.  Strange.

Ah yes, forgot to point out to Shabakuk that Chapter 5 is ready for testing - will do so now!

I am pleased it is going well for you though Seeker ... can't wait to try it and die. :D
18 May 2012, 09:35:13
No, I didn't Seeker. :( I think it is Master Anfang who is doing the testing

Dek-   shoals is going very well.  Art is starting on chapter 6. A very important chapter.  Did you test chapter 5?
