Here be the score and the music. Incidentally, does anyone know how to make Sibelius arpeggiate chords (the ones in the 'lively' middle section) instead of playing them as blocks?

My brother says you select the relevant chord, go onto Notation, and then select the vertical wavy line under arpeggiate. On Sibelius 7, you use the drop down menu from the Notations tab that has things like Glissando on.

Athviaro you are a life-saver! Please thank your brother for me. Just one other question: I've tried the arpeggiate (vertical wavy line), but the playback still doesn't arpeggiate properly: either it refuses to arpeggiate at all or does so by 'stealing' from the duration of the subsequent notes. I wonder if I need a special plug-in for this?


EDIT: Just checked: I have Sibelius 6. I didn't realise a new version had come out. Is your brother familiar with both 6 and 7 by any chance? What's his impression of Sibelius 7? Would he recommend upgrading to Sibelius 7?

Very impressive, Coren, and very beautiful!

In the movie "Kelder and Bryella", for me this music would play in the scene when the children walk back home with their father, having finally found their way out of the forest. They are thinking back to the melancholy of their exile and the fear of never seeing their home again, but also are mindful of the love that has kept them together and that has saved them from despair.

Gotta love the chain here though - from shabakuk's witch to my fairy tale to this musical piece... All that's missing is a painting.

Subtle hint, what :D (Seeker, I was just kidding, after you painted my monkeys I don't really expect more ^.^)

Oh, and I added this song to my MP3 list so I'll hear it every now and then.

Coren, did you still want to fine-tune this? Arpeggiate chords?

Otherwise, if it's ready, maybe we should suggest that this delightful piece might be integrated into the compendium?
