A few things to fix:

Quote
...allowing for more application of their unique skill set. They may look for signs of envenomation, evil magic, corruption of the bodily constituents, and so on

Quote
New Santhala should be written New-Santhala

And a note:

You might slip in a reference to Nyermersys, which is the City of Death, see e..g. the map and then the Temple of Queprur area. This is all dedicated to the dead, so maybe you could let the necropsy have its origin there, say, in the Bonehouse of the Plague. Maybe when the Plague broke out in 602 b.S. the clerics of Queprur had to make necropsies after several similar deaths to make sure about the causes. Then the town had to be sealed to prevent the disease from spreading. (Book tip of the week: "The Plague" by Albert Camus ;) )

I guess with that we could pretty much conclude the entry for now. I'm sure there are other cultures who deal with necropsy differently, but I don't think that we've got a lot readily available. So I'd say with the final edits in we put it up this update, okeydokey? Aura +1 from here, Kelancey!

Hooray! Thank you, Arti!

Edits made:
Paragraph added to the History section describing the Bonehouse of the Plague as the birthplace of the modern necropsy.
Misspellings corrected, New-Santhala now properly spelled with hyphen in name.

There is not much documented on Northern tribe's necropsy practices. So your entry should really only reflect SOUTH practices in the Santharian kingdom. The North is an entirely different beast and can be added to this entry at a later date once more research is done.

No, I would not want to live in a world without dragons, as I would not want to live in a world without magic, for that is a world without mystery, and that is a world without faith. And that, I fear, for any reasoning, conscious being, would be the cruelest trick of all.

Azhira, you have an excellent point about limiting this description to just what is done in Southern Sarvonia.  Do you have any suggestions for how I could explain that, to say that necropsy is viewed differently or knowledge of it is limited in other parts of the world?

Simply a note in the overview that explains this particular entry in the Compendium details necropsy practices in the Santharian kingdom. Elsewhere, such as the North or Nybelmar, are not yet detailed.

Thanks, Azhira, that works nicely.
Edit made to the Overview restricting the scope of this entry to just the practice of necropsy in Southern Sarvonia.

Hello all! It's been a minute since I poked my nose in here. Can't remember if I ever did anything useful.

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers

Short note: We had a bit of downtime Friday/Saturday night due to a server change. Site went online first, message boards took a while longer - now everything should be back to normal.
