Just to keep you informed: The search feature is currently deactivated, and that will be the case for a couple of days. The problem is that the site was transferred to a new server which doesn't support the search scripts we've been using... Well, truth be told, the search feature is ages old, so I guess I can't get around buying the latest version. And then I need to set up everything anew etc. Also, I'm not at my main computer, so I can't get to it before Tuesday or so. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it will take a while to get it all back as it should be.

In case someone notices other things relating to the site that might be connected to the transfer, let me know. But the way it looks things work mostly fine (Forums, guestbook, Santhworld etc.) So probably the search feature is the last issue. Let's hope so... :)

BTW: Something I noticed is that the posting times are off since the transfer. There's a time difference of 6 hours. It looks like the server was transferred from the US east coast to the west? Anyway, to fix this: Go to your profile --> Look and Layout Preferences, and click on Auto Detect at the Time Offset...

Search is still down. Research has all of a sudden become very difficult.

Stay calm, Felsid...  cool

It's a bit more complex than I thought, need some help from support, but I'm on it. Weekend is coming, so I expect I'll get it done by then - stay tuned!

Ok folks - we've got an updated search feature...  grin

Please make sure to refresh the site when the mainframe is displayed, so that you don't get an old cached version of the frame. Because the search button now points to another page (it's a PHP script instead a CGI). Anyway, it basically looks exactly the same as before, though with some improvements e.g. auto completion, so if you type you get a couple of suggestions to pick from if you wait a bit (like on Google). There might be a few things that still need adjusting, e.g. the page file name, like voldar.htm is also included in these auto suggestions, which makes little sense. And you might find pages that are not meant to be in the index (e.g. parts of frames). Anyway, the feature is there - adjustments will follow later.

And now: Happy searching! :D

Hello all! It's been a minute since I poked my nose in here. Can't remember if I ever did anything useful.

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers

Short note: We had a bit of downtime Friday/Saturday night due to a server change. Site went online first, message boards took a while longer - now everything should be back to normal.
