Could I try my hand at the Roses Overview? I presume it is going to be a matter of taking that Rose page that it references, updating it (so that it has similar information to the other plant overviews (birch trees and cacti for example)), and then adding in the Overviews of the different roses?

Exactly! And goodness gracious, we (finally) have a volunteer for an overview! All yours, it is.

To help me get back into the swing of things....I'll gladly make an corrections expansions that are needed to the Erissa's Tears entry, if you will fill me on the what it needs.  I also noticed that when I clicked on the link for the legend of the snow maiden it wasn't working, why, may I ask?

Feel free to throw any other plants in my direction that need work or expansion.  Goodness knows I like the feel of dirt underneath my finger nails, mud in my toes, and have plenty of free time.

Erissa's Tears just needs adaptation to the current template (A reproduction section, for instance. I can imagine it can be fleshed out significantly as well.

The snow maiden link probably broke when we reorganised the library.

entry granted.

Well, that was easier then expected.  Shall we try something more difficult then?  I'll take the entry for the Heartsore plant.  It needs creation anyway.

Does it need updating? It's a bit short, but it's a Judy entry, so what's there is good and should stay there. Sure, it can be expanded, as there's no Reproduction section e.g. as of yet - so make sure to mark changes/updates when you update it!

My North and Mists entries have a few plants that need full entries. The Ghostlings eat a stinky bush berry called a "jha'liss"

I also made a red vine plant in the Caaehl. And I have a corn type plant eaten by the Kaaer. Also, around the Wyrmrot Spire grows huge tangled thorny plants that are likely some mutated bramble given considerable growth by dragon blood.  evil

Volunteers welcome!

The onion entry was listed as being in need of rewriting/expanding. I was just planning on bringing it up to speed with the current requirements of the herbarium. I can ask Judy first, if that is possibly needed.

Az, I wanna do the corn!  I love grains and we don't have nearly enough of them.  In fact I was planning a general 'Maize' entry, so I might make your 'corn-type' a subset of that.  Can you give me the link to whatever info/references you have extant?

Kareesh, are we talking about the Weeproot?  Sure, if it doesn't meet spec, feel free to add/expand.  I'm sure you'll respect what's already there...do feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions or issues!

I don't think so, Judy, unless an entry got put in twice. It's just called "onions". Linkage!

Nice catch, Kareesh; it did!  http://www.santharia.com/herbarium/aelons_vegetables.htm

Oh, Artimidor, dear... we seem to have an overlap!

Perhaps 'onion' could be added as an alternative name to the aelon entry so that searches turn it up instead, and the old entry deleted?

Oh great Judy! The maizet plant is not so much a grain as it is a root. However, I am revising the entry now and could easily make it a type of corn. Right now, the entry states as follows:

Quote
The tribe has also developed a type of bread-like wafer from the bulbous roots of the maizet plant. The hardy stalks of brown plant grow in abundance along the heaths and the tribe has even cultivated the plant in fields to the east of the Themed'lon. The roots are pulled during the late summer and ground up in a mixture of flavored dried moss and water producing a sticky paste. The paste is then baked in a domed oven to form flat, flaky bread. The tribe call this starchy food "tor'mata".

As you can see, I clearly took inspiration from a corn-type plant and flaky bread is a type of tortilla. Yummm!

Ah, too bad that internet is so restricted in China, Ferra. Can't be much fun surfing the web that way if Big Brother's watching you... Hope you enjoy your stay nevertheless!

Hi, dear Arti and other developers!

This year I am in China and cannot use any Google services including YouTube. For this reason I stopped uploading new Nepris videos. I can also not read any comments there.

It just crossed my mind that this information might be useful to you.

Cheers
