well here it is tell me what you think.

The Double Winged Harp

Appearance:

The double winged harp has two wing shaped edges joined together at the bottom and nearly at the top, it has six strings made out of ______.

The strings are strong and expensive costing ______ this is because of the difficulty to harvest*

The harp itself is made out of one piece of wood normally _______. The shape of the harp sometimes resembles a heart. The “wings” or sides of the harp can vary in shape depending on race and personal taste of the owner. The style at the moment is to have the wings rounded with etchings and decorations on.

Usage:

The player usually plucks the double winged harp although it can be strummed again depending on the taste of the owner. It is most commonly used by bards to sing odes with. It can be used by mages to enhance their magical ability. It is easy to learn and can be played fluently after about a year and about two years to enhance magic as well. It is usually played under an arm.

Origins:

It is believed that it was first used by the ______ elf tribe and then expanded into the other cultures. Most races have modified it to there own taste. But the original form is by far the most common. **It is also believed that the double winged harp came into existence when an elf mage was sent on several quests and the easiest way to enhance his magical and musical ability. After that it became more common.

Special abilities:

It has the ability to enhance the player’s magical and musical potential.

***Names:

Status:

Reasonably common but expensive in the elf and human races, with different varieties in different cultures quite common.

*I’m not sure if this is the right word and there is a plant like that has string things if not I will write about that to.

** This needs writing up on.

*** I need some names.

A good ideas in general, which should be taken to the Miscellaneous Board for further work. (For some reason we don't have any instruments as separate entries. Maybe you can start a trend here :D   )

You will need to come up with a very good bit of reasoning to have an instrument be able to enhance your magical abilities though.

There are various inconsistencies in your entry, mostly concerning rarity and price of this harp. Also, just stating that races have adapted it to their taste will not do for a description, you will have to give examples, or some general lines of the most obvious alterations for each race.. I'm sure you can come up with something.

If your writing program of choice is able to, try to have it run a grammar check on your entries as well.

(oh, and do something about the gazillion exclamation marks will you ;) )

Good Luck,

Miraran Tehuriden..

Oh, and I've now also spotted the piece - among so many other great one's you've gathered there!

Bonus suggestion: Never knew that Phylicia Rashad from the Cosby Show is such a great gospel singer - see here, start at ca. 4:30 - really great voice!
