Entry is now prepared... There were some major updates necessary - I found some great additional informationon Leather Armour, which I've integrated now properly. Entry should be pretty complete now - so after 8 years of development we have our first official armour entry up! - Woohoo!  number1 So where's the next one? ;)

Ok first off i just joined this site, and posted my newbie parts and im not absolutely positive if im meant to wait for a reply or go ahead and start talking......

From what i gather, leather armour isn't always just leather.  You can add metals to the leather to make it more suitable for different types of combat, such as small metal plates, or studs, maybe even as far as large metal plates, on the places such as the chest, shoulders, shins, thighs, and so on, therefore making it more resistant to an attack from a sword/dagger, and so on.  Of course all armour types have a problem with blunt weapons, because they rely on sheer strength bashing in the armour, because either way your're going to be hammered, so leather or metal wouldn't add any real protection.

Arrows create a larger problem.  Considering arrows can pierce plate mail, then surely they would pierce mere leather armour?.  The only thing I know of that can stop arrows is chain mail, and leather is quite far from that.  So maybe you could think up a design to offer all types of protections and make the new protection trend? 

But after saying all that I do not believe that armour could protect against all the different ways of being injured in battle, unless a magic proficient person got their hands (or mind) dirty.

P.S. on top of all that there might be things posted like this already, and considering I have only jsut joined today, and i'm not some super reader I haven't read enough of the posts yet to familiarise myself with this world, and I may have stepped the boundaries a few times.  If so please tell me, but in a nicer sort of manner.
