I was hoping someone would tell me where to put this. It's a creature much like a mermaid; half-horse, half-fish.  The only reports of the creature (so far) Have been in the Sanhorrhim Sea Tales, and other than merfolk, no one has seen it.

Does that mean it's a myth and goes in the cosmology section? Or is it an animal, even though it's unproven?

I'd put it in 'Myth' for now, Viresse....there is precedent for that...

For example, the faeries are currently so undeveloped (that's NOT a hint!) that they are being considered as mythical/legendary.  Certain dragons, I think?? are also believed to be mythical.  If you recall how hippos and ibex would have been viewed by the average medieval English peasant.... they could be real, but they are probably fabulous!   (in the old sense of the word)

Doesn't mean they have to stay there, but there really is no point on spending the time and energy to make them a 'real' beast fitting into the marine ecosystem when we need so much other stuff.... so write them up, get them off your plate, and keep that energy flowing for the birdies and beesies (the latter of which, by the way, we don't have yet either!)
