Tarq, Xarl - ok I'm thinking that I'm not explaining myself enough here... It needs to be *simple* to everyone, not simple for you! ;)

Name of magic
Titles (in order + qualifications + years to complete + race) eg
apprentace - basic talent with magic - 4 years - based on human
wizard - apprentace completed - 20 years - based on human
super dude - wizard + Xa school - 40 years - based on human
Where the "magic" is drawn from - Gods / Self power / etc

Who *can't* use it.

General

Can we try this approach, or can some one else put it in the "required" "newbie" talk. Because what I've done is wrong, and what they are doing, while it explains their magic, it's still a little to complicated...  :  Thanks <crosses fingers>

Xarl - I'm totally lost... Is it possible, with what I've done for magic as a guide to help you to totally simplify the magic system..

I don't want a complicated version, just a simple laymens terms. Where you say "this magic takes this long to learn" and then that qualifies you to do "this" and have "this" range of spells.

If it takes a couple of paragraphs, then so be it... but for the moment, I've got a basic view of "Magic is way to complicated" at the moment, when it shouldn't be!..

I realise that there needs to be a structure... and some "formality", but criky!!! Can we get a "Magic for dummies"

Remember this is for people who don't have english as their first language... It's also for people who have no understanding of or for magic... As well as your fellow magic know it alls out there who would have created their own magic systems in other worlds and think that they know it all..

I realise that it needs to cover a fair few basis, however I'm wanting something *very simple*...

- can you change it please??? :

 Wizardly Magic
There are three main levels of magic Auric, Wizard and Magus. Each taking a minamin of twenty years to learn, so by the time a person reaches Magus stage, they would have had sixty years in magic training.

When studying magic the would be Magus can't learn magics that are opposite, such as water and fire, wind and earth, peace and chaos. The would be Magus's race is also a factor on which spells can be learnt, and how effective their magical powers are. Elves are more likely to be able to learn any type, while Orcs would be limited to basic chaos magic.

There is also a school in which teaches such magics, and also "assigns" the title to those at Magus stage. To enter the school of Ximax, you have to prove your worth to them.

*************

That better?!?!?!

OK - there is something *simialar* to what I want in the RPG forums, but I want is smaller and shorter - so "laymen" it's not funny!

Xar, Tarq, = General magic / Weavers / Mage

Koldar = Cleric I believe?

Greybark = Life magic

Person I forgot? = your magic type

Can you *pretty* please do me a *huge* favour by writing a "brief" This is <insert magic type here>, taking at least X many years to learn. Magic type 1 and magic type 2 can not be known by the same person. Magics of "this" type can. Race is best for using this, however other races can do "this". It is a natural talent / It can only be learned by "people / race"

<grin>

It's for the "newbie RPG" thing! :)

So there is

Ellezga (Narfost)
Bejnefr (Zeiphyrhian)
Drail grass (Boulder)
Wolf willow (Een Puvtyr)
Glowglobes (Een Puvtyr)
Mithanjor (Een Puvtyr)
Burrow Bachik - see Nybelmargerim (Nybelmar Dwarves) for helpful info you can expand.
Chagga Oranges - see Nybelmargerim. Not a lot known about Nybelmar as yet, so feel free to expand. I thought of them as being small, sour oranges, like a cross between tangerines and the little limes you get in Asia.

For the plants to be done.. ? Any others? I've been hit with the "lets creat it from scratch", and want to do some "there's stuff to reference it to" bug (Klintorth / Santharia thing) and well I think that I'll be able to get that done relativly soonish....

Wren - any other plants that you wanted doin'?

Thanks.. <beams a smile>

The reason for the Religion area is because the script knows that there is more text "behind" there, and so "picks" up on it and then creates the scroll bars. We haven't quite figured out how to "hide" them from view as yet.

I'm a little lost with your other things, but I'll try to figure them out. A little new with the while "html" thing still, but learning more and more! :)  Any and all help is welcomed...

So getting back to the general "sub-areas" of the beast / herb areas (as my site was just an example of it being easier to find the different "sub species" ie, I want to find out about an animal, which is a demon You wouldn't have to scroll through the entire listing, and explore each one which "looked" like it might be, you'd only have to scroll down to the demons and the read through each of them.
