Okay, now I also have a question.  Are there words in Styrásh that mean "hair" or "color".  I would like to say something like "Hair the color of the moon" in Styrásh or at least something that means the same thing.  I got the words of (fá) and the moon (Silarná).  But that is all.

Thanks Twen for the compliment about my poem.  I wrote it when I was 14 and studying Romeo and Juliet.  I have just done an entry in the herbarium (or however you spell it).  It is not finished yet but I would appreciate some early comments.  It is my first try so please everyone be gentle.

BTW does anyone know why my title says I am a level 3 Orcish Maurader?  Just wondering.  I am not, my CD is a level 5 Wind Mage so I am just a bit confused. :veryconfused

Hmm, I like poetry and had most of my poems published in RL some years back ( and no I am not that old).  I have not wrote in quite a while but my try my hand at it.  Does the poetry have to follow anything in particular?  I know no mention of modern things and follow a medieval theme.  Here is one of my first:

Love is shared between one another
In their mind there is no other.
A love so strong, a love so right
How could it be ruined in just one night.
One night alone it was all too soon
She lost her virginity under the moon.
He said he loved her, she said it too
But when it came down to it
None of it was true.

I usually like to keep it short like the above.  Secondly I asked for a mentor because I have no idea where to start.  I have not read alot of Tolkein (sp) books.  None actually.  I have seen Lord of the Rings but that would be it.  I have read however Terry Brooks' Landover series.  And Dragon Lance as well (the books).  Should I then start by maybe making suggestions to ppl who are currently working on stuff?

I RP with Dagon and have read some about Nybelmar.  Is there anything there that needs attention.  Plants maybe?  I like them.  Or animals?  I really like animals.  Maybe they can have something like the Black Heart over there like Sarvonia does.  Except instead of being feared, it could be revered since alot of the darker tribes seem to come from that region.

Geez I didn't mean for that to sound like a pick up line, but I am on the prowl for a mentor. :b    I do not know who I would be best suited for.  I am not good at parts of speech and so would not probably do well at coming up with vocabulary.  I am, however, good at catching errors and spelling.  Go figure that one.  I do not understand Ximaxian explanations of magic even tho I have had it explained to me several ways. :hammer

I like to read, usually have many windows open to cross reference things, I have time, and a willingness to go where ever I am needed.  I am interested in just about all areas except language and maybe magic, mostly because I do not understand them.  The magic system I am still getting used to and creating magic I think is kinda above me right now.

So I know I can not probably be much use to anyone, but if you have something and would like to mentor me, I usually learn fast as long as I understand what I am doing and am most willing to help out in any way I can.

Whenever someone sits on a stool and actually uses correct posture you get the effect, at least that I see.  I know that she is probably standing since it wouldn't make any sense to have a dark forest background and her sitting on a bloody stool in the middle of it.  Everyone is entitled to their own version.  So try not to correct what other ppl see as not being right, please.  What we each perceive is our own truth, it may not be what the artist thought to convey but that is alright too.  She is beautiful and will only become more so when she is finished.

I will have to agree with Miraran.  She looks as if she is disapproving of something.  Like one of those older uppidy women who is watching a small child and think it beneath them to be doing so or something.  Maybe it is the set of her jaw line or her lips that give me this impression.

She is beautiful there is no doubt about that.  I will agree that the neck seems just a touch too long for my taste as well.  But we each envision something different when we read a description and have no picture.  You have done such a wonderful job encompasing all that we have thought into a single picture.  I can not wait to see the finished portrait.

Oh and to me it seems like she is sitting.  Just in case anyone cared.
