Oh, you already replaced your battery with a new one? Would help if you say what you already did, hehe. After you unplug it you have to plug it in after a while of course ;) Can help with defective contact. But well, can be the power adapter of your computer or the mainboard that doesn't get any power anymore if no fan turns on atleast. Doesn't sound too good then.

Try to plug off the power adapter for some minutes and see if it at least gives some life signs again. My assumption is the bios battery which is very cheap to buy actually. Some Mainboards only lose the bios settings if the battery is low but others refuse to start altogether. And you kinda described a degenerative scenario that made me sensitive in that direction. I would give a new battery a try. You can find one at DiTech http://www.ditech.at/liste/53709760/Zubehoer__Multimedia_Batterien_und_Akkus_Knopfzellen.html. I don't know if any fits your mainboard, so you have to look it up to see what it needs. But it's a cheap try!

Edit: "CR 2032" fits most of the computers btw.

Ha! It seems that you now have the same problem that I had when we both bought our computer from the same reseller. They can achieve those low prices for their fast hardware by massively overclocking them. Whenever I tried to play a 3D game, the computer shut down after 1-5 Minutes. The components definitely couldn't handle the speed.

You can try for now to slow down the cpu and graphic card clock speed in the bios and check if all fans are running correctly. But of course, overclocking = lesser durability of the hardware

I was really shocked when I heard of that. A few years ago I had some PMs with him about Santhworld where he helped us, and I got to know him as a really funny guy full of ideas, inspiration and dedication in what he was doing. At that time he was roleplaying as the Silent Watcher. I guess it was never boring having him around.

Altough many of you got to know him a lot better, I too won't forget him, even from the short moments I had with him when we talked about the ideas he had.  cry

We are actually two teams, one stays in Vienna and the other one goes to Switzerland. Lucky me I'm save for now  grin

There are Swiss and Austrian people in each team, so under no circumstances is a whole team or company in the same plane. It is Artis time to travel now, so what can I say... well *fingers crossed* *gg

It seems that I totally missed the voting for all the awards this year  :( I was always a fan of it because it is a nice way to show everyone that their work is recognized and appreciated.

More so I was surprised that I got a commitment award myself!  grin My work has always been mainly behind the scenes so it is very nice to see it recognized. So I guess, thanks a lot!  hug

And thanks Deklitch for writing the laudation!!

Oh, nice. He kinda slipped through my radar! Grats from me as well. We are slowly moving towards an outrageous number of players that have finished the Nepris module.  lol

Nice, I will test it tomorrow and share my impressions.

There is indeed a lot going on recently in Santhworld!

Congrats to Orda Nobunaga from my side as well  thumbup
Not bad at all to solve all three parts in only 13 days. Around 40 deaths isn't bad either, if you exclude An Chor from this category.

Well, lick your wounds, recover yourself, forget what you've seen and after some nightmares about liches and undead that are to come, you will be ready to meet your next challenge in the upcoming Shoals-Module!

12  Organization and General Discussions / Active Projects / Re: Santhworld - Mysteries of Nepris Spoiler Thread on: 23 October 2011, 20:05:25
It is actually not a bug. We had no other way to handle this problem back in the days as to always create the scroll anew. The problem was simply that the scroll was gone if you used it in the fight and fled afterwards.

Today we have more possibilities and can trigger scripts if you flee from a fight. So we could handle it in a much nicer way. But it's not that of a problem because the scroll only works in this particular fight. In your case you might as well drop it, just unnecessary ballast.  :D

No one said that the artefact you are missing is a weapon, Talia.  ;)
14  Organization and General Discussions / Active Projects / Re: Santhworld - Mysteries of Nepris Spoiler Thread on: 19 October 2011, 19:25:44
I'm pretty sure it will count if you load a saved game previous to this fight and do it again in a different constellation. If not it is a bug  :P

I get your point Talia that the player has no way of knowing such things but not all items are meant to be discovered by everyone.
15  Organization and General Discussions / Active Projects / Re: Santhworld - Mysteries of Nepris Spoiler Thread on: 19 October 2011, 07:22:20
@Talia

Well, the final fight bears different rewards. It depends on how many opponents you face and therefore on the difficulty of the fight. Two artefacts can drop in this fight and one of it, probably the best in the game, only in the most difficult constellation. You miss that particular artefact.

@Elron
I think you were unlucky and miss both of these artefacts.
