That's the problem when you only by once in a blue moon - you end up posting in threads that are long out of "action".
But I just wanted to say that ball jointed dolls are beautiful and most of them are from Korea (looks at the Bard). I remember buying one for a dear friend and had it shipped over. It was an Alice in Wonderland one. It cost me dear... and I refuse to go into this because it's a slippery slope downhill and there's no turning back.
Hello Bard - I looked at the facebook photos - they are lovely and inspiring. The use of wood lends a nice rustic quality to it. I would love to have the Paper and teabags on wood pieces as decorative tiles.
Aye Garret, I hope you didn't take offence at the comments... those were just thinking points which I thought you may want to take into consideration and of course it's very important that you feel happy with what you have written. I don't mind if you think they weren't valid points. I tend to nit-pick a bit as I do editorial work from time to time - occupational hazard.
Very very nice - especially the effect on the water - I wish I could do that. I am taking art classes to learn watercolour now and I'm just no good with water.
Art, being the master of Santharia is a full-time job... but surely you can find sometime to walk in its beautiful forests or wander within the beautiful towns instead of tending to the problems. Some roofs need fixing now and then, more paintwork can be done but hey, take a break and smell the breeze.
I hear Austria is beautiful Are you going to enjoy it? Ok I see "manual work" - Heh... more work. Don't you ever rest?
Those were in my parent's time I think... *oops* (yikes... no offense to the wise and experienced on this forum) - now I feel young and silly.
I think I belong to the generation of computer games - the only marble game I remember was really something some computer game thing where you drop marbles and they go through a maze or something like that.
Thank you so much Arti and Bard Judith. Suggestions for improvements are always welcomed and in-depth criticism is good too however, let me incorporate all the changes and put in the ending first before you criticise ok? (After having my real-world work torn apart by editors, I think I have grown a suitably thick skin - after all, they tend to be more ruthless because there is something called a "bottom line".)
Anyway, is the mentor thing still going on? Of course I am shamefully asking if I still have the great Bard as a mentor.
I have resurrected a dead horse... I thought I should finish BUT I don't remember what ended I actually intended for it because it was a good 2 years ago. Please do read and give me your opinions. My main concerns
1) Does the style change drastically in the second half. My writing style has evolved over the past 2 years and I don't want the story to sound like it was written by 2 completely different persons. I haven't ended it though there is only about 2 to 3 paragraphs more - largely because of this style issue. Does it sound abrupt to you?
2) Again my knowledge of Santharia is not fantastic. Hopefully there are no issues with the town and the liberties I have taken with it.
Sorry Art for taking so long to actually get down to doing this.
