very nice indeed. painterly nuance in a terriffic character study.

3  Santharian World Development / The Santharian Herbarium / Re: Alinfa Lily - first draft for Jeff! on: 27 October 2003, 03:33:00
that is a wondefully developed description. i will get on top of this , and must apologize for having delayed so far. lots of life to slough through sometimes;) its a nice feeling to have someone  expand on one of my pics. :hug

thanks everyone! glad she has a home here. artemis, she does have a less-than-sunny aspect to her, i agree. maybe it is the price of existing outside of time, so to speak. dala, exactly - a vintage feel was my aim.

7  Santharian World Development / Santharian Artists Workshop and Resources / Re: Quellion's Magical Empire Treasury on: 24 March 2004, 10:11:00
that is a very cool series quellion! my favorite is easily brain death, not only because it is a terriffic illustration, but also perfectly represents how i likely look stumbling around in search of that first cup-o-joe in the early hours:x

my first thought about this is say a series of works by the same person submitted as the sketch book of one of the well-traveled sojourners of santharia.easier to integrate in this way no matter the 'finish' and lots of potential development side issues(the accompanying journal, notes, biography, etc...)

really nice work that is my favorite of yours(so far) isilhir. really excites the imagination. kudos.

wow. "run away!"

i love the bombadil sentiment, which expresses perfectly the way i see this character. i see her as a mix of gardener and shepherd, tending to her little corner. maybe her name stands for harmony (or a harmony cocktail mixed with wry  humor and a delicious sense of deviousness )

i must say i love perusing the considerations. i am very pleased she is hitting it off with you all and love to see she may find her home here. those feeler thingies are part of her outfit, like her little shoulder thingies, and i think she wears them because the critters think she is one of them:D

i really like your personal take on these pics of yours! this is a prototypical example of a cool character piece. quite a few nicely inventive elements.
