As long as Tiaa's not doing any major overhauling, I'd like to do the Eyelians. :smile  So the gryph would look like a gryphon without the hind of a lion? Stil has ear-tufts, though, yes?

This time I'll do a female for a change.

There are some tribes, like the Avennorians, that have a picture or two, but just have "---" under tribe picture o.O Does that mean you are looking for a different picture?

The Eyelians seem interesting, though...

Why's it gotta be in Germany, huh? :(

Aw man, I'd LOVE to go... to be able to meet all you wonderfully anomalous people..(Talia, your home is gorgeous!)  but there's so many problems in doing so.. money, for one of course, and I have no idea what I'm going to be doing next summer (I think I'm going to try to go study abroad again.. if only AFS had Germany as a summer program!!), and etc. :sigh

Well after a few hours playing in Photoshop, as I do not have Illustrator, I came up with this. It's not.. too bad I think, I tried to go for the shapes and gradients of the Illustrator, but I'm not exactly sure I was successful. To ME it looks pretty good, but opinions are welcome. :smile  It could maybe use a few more shapes...?

Uhm.. I don't have any idea what exactly it could be used for, but I could certainly clean up the clouds if no one else does, in case someone wants to use it for.. something. :nod  If you just provide me with a large copy of the picture, I can do it very quickly.

Nice XD I've already been using "feffing" and such. What can I say, my character is kinda.. rude/has a dirty mouth at times.

Though maybe I'd recommend putting the Provebs and Sayings page in the Character Descriptions FAQ somewhere? If it was more readily availible, with maybe a recommendation to take note of them for a more in depth RP experience? I do think if more characters used them more regularly, it would be really awesome. I mean, if you're going to immerse yourself in this world, you should be able to talk like a Shendar, Melad'rhim, etc. :smile

Falls and fells! That's great, Arti, thanks. This will make roleplaying much easier.

Guess I should look harder :P

Hm, is there somewhere that these are being placed(compendium?), or are they simply made up at random by players who need them?

My character Eshoh is something of a jerk - and I'd bet he'd use plenty of such phrases and slang. It'd be helpful to other santharian users and it'd make for a very tied-together world. I've noticed in the best books I've read they have their own day-to-day sayings and such, just as in modern times we say "Oh my god!" or whatnot.

Just came up with this thought while studying for my role as a ratcatcher at my local Renaissance Faire, where I have to learn a great deal of medieval slang, and I figured it would be neat if Santharia had some, for I haven't exactly seen much besides maybe "Querpur waits..." or "Off with Dalireen!". Of course most would be in Tharian, maybe a few Styrash.

I'd certainly help in the process of making these, and they would probably vary according to the region that inhabitants are from. If that's too big of a task to carry on I guess we can just leave it as arbitrary to the individual players.

Comments appreciated. :nod

I wish you would have said something Radaroc! I got the firm impression from the description it was a canine-like animal. Which is why I mainly used pictures of foxes for reference. The only hint of the slinker being mustelid in appearance was "travels in 5-7 ferrets".

What would make it more ferret-like, in your opinion? shorter legs prehaps? I'll be happy to make some corrections if you'd like me to. I had to hurry up and finish the picture to be posted in the last update, so it didn't get to go through the usual Development Board poking and prodding, so I guess I understand this mix-up. :smile

Thank you both!! :broadgrin  And a compliment like that from a prestigious artist around here like you, Bard Judith, fills me with elation!

However.. one question still remains. *coughs nervously* I took Arti's advice, picked out a few things to start off with, and I'm just wondering that once I finish them, do I post them in the forums (resources?), or do I e-mail them to you, Arti, or e-mail them to the original developer for assessment?
