Can someone help Art out with the map?  What is it?  Prize goes to the first to respond with the correct answer.

This is a pic of him later in life.  " Aged 45, but not looking a day over 20".

I agree the goblet looks awkward somehow.  I will do some measurements.

Alright here is my rendition of Drakus.   Let me know what you think.

Art, you have always been reasonable with your comments so I trust your judgment.   I'll take one more crack at some of those details .  I'll get it in before the next site update.

Look out for Drakus soon.  thumbup  He's about ready.

Check out You Tube.  Just search on GIMP and you will get a bunch of tutorials.  Not always in English but you can still follow along with the visuals.  I use GIMP for the drawings I do.  It works well.  I've been using it for less than a year.  You'll catch on.

If you have a scanner you can scan in your sketches and then work them up into better pics.  You can aslo photograph your pics and import them in that way.  Otherwise you can simply draw them from scratch directly in gimp.

Here you go.  Sorry it took so long to get to these latest edits.  (I was actually feeling inspired to work on my next pic and got carried away.)

What do you think?  Does the horsey look shaggier?  If there are any last things that are particulalry troublesome let me know.  Otherwise I think this one is done.

First off, Congrats for being a SAHM for 11 years.  That is an accomplishment all on its own.  Cashier work will be easy after that.  Have fun.

Well it sounds like I get to set a precedence for Artist Master Works here in Santharia.  I feel it should be as a high as the standard for the writers.  Which to me means it should take some time and it should incorporate various areas of Caelereth.

I am working on Drakus and I hope to finish up Gouran soon as well.  Then I will work on the Masterwork.  In the meantime I will be thinking about what I will do and first propose to Art.  Depending on what I propose I may want to keep it a secret from some of you, until my first posting. evil

On a personal note.  My wife's sister (who has been living with us for 8 years) is getting married next week.  Relatives are starting to pour into my home.  It may get crazy and affect my production rate for a few days.  (And in case your wondering she and her two-year old daughter will be moving out with her new husband.  thumbup)

As far as I am concerned.  I dont mind if Art uses my work or "pieces" of my work within Santharia.  Even combinations with others work. Just give all of us credit below the collaboration.  I have seen that done here before. None of my work is commissioned.

However, you will probably not see me do it myself.  I just can't get myself to use someone elses work.  Maybe once I get more familiar those I am working with I would feel more comfortable doing that.

*Picking himself up*  Wow guys thanks a lot.  Let me tell you that this has been so much fun so far.  Everyone I have worked with has been great and welcoming and encouraging.   I definitely want to work towards being a member.  This may sound cheesy but I honestly feel very honored.  Thank you so much.

I have seen some examples of Masterworks for the writers.  Are there any examples of Masterworks done by the artists?

If not I will think about it and propose something.

Very well.  I may or may not get to this.  Quite frankly I have some other pics I am more "passionate"about working on.

Once I finish the Remusian pic I am working on Drakus.  Quite excited about that one.

As mentioned before, I realize Turik is not very detailed close up, so I don't really expect you to use it for anything.  But if there are some minor tweaks I can make to make it usable I don't mind.

Alt I will have to disagree.  We don't stay religious neutral in Santharia,  there are plenty of religions to pick from in the Religions and Mythology forum.  :D

Siv, I like the ideas for castles you have.  I imagine a nice pic of a cross-section of a castle.  Or even a blue print layout drawn on parchment.  Could be a nice pic to show what life is like living in a castle.  You sound like a detail guy.  that is good.  Find something you like here and have fun.  I am sure you can find many things that you can enhace with your eye to detail.
