I just wanted to chime in and say I am excited to play your game. I am still without a home computer which will be remedied once I get my tax refund. At that point I will be back in action. For now i am relegated to using my phone.
Well I originally wanted this to be a pic for the Cloud falls entry. however as it progressed it diverged from the entry too much I think. so any comments , suggestions are welcome. Perhaps it fits a different waterfall better?
Zarkin, sorry for the late introduction. Seeker here. Glad to have you on the Development side. We can always use more help here. Please comment on other's work here and feel free to start something of your own. Start with something simple so you can get the hang of the critique and the style. I am looking forward to what you come up with. There are plenty of weapons or foods, or plants that could be developed for example. Many are mentioned in the overviews but do not have entries yet.
Great idea Lionhorse. A medieval pharmacy.....cool.
I hope you have already looked through the entries found in the Medicine & Vitality section of the Miscellaneous menu. This is where this entry will find a home. You will notice in a few of the entries such as Antivenins and Antidotes, Fever Reducers, Pain Remedies that you will already find many medicines. I am pointing this out because your entry does not need to list all the medicines out there. You could give some new examples for sure but then you could point to these other entries. You could concentrate your entry on the pharmacy itself its history and the people who create it.
Also if you simply search on medicine you find many entries mentioning various medicines. Also there are many entries with mentions of medicine-men. While these are not pharmacist, they may be mentioned as local amateur pharmacist in comparison to the more sophisticated pharmasists that you are writing about. Just an idea. take it or leave it.
Finally you may want to mention a relationship with gnomes to obtain the various vials and equipment (alchemical tools) that may be necessary to create medicines.
oooh not bad not bad at all. I like the airbrush technique you use for the patterns on the fish. I am also impressed the fish is proportioned correctly. I assume you used a reference. Nothing to be ashamed of, we all use references. The patterns on the fins look nice as well.
If your interested a couple of pointers: 1) use hard lines (not airbrush lines) for the edges of the eyes and mouth. 2) The green lines on the fish appear to be accidentally flowing into the top fins. This may have been on purpose but the results look like it is a mistake. 3) a shiny stripe across the top portion of the body (using dodge tool would work) would give the fish a slippery feel.
If you get a chance play the Treasure Shoeals Santhworld game. You will get a glimpse of some more black fire in the game. Some other images you see in the game could also be used.
Woooo Perab. Nice work. Proportions are well done, Their is a nice feel to the picture.
Hands are difficult and can be worked on as you advance more with your skill. The head is a bit long and skinny but not inappropriate. The next step is practicing some more shading and color.
People are difficult and you did a great job. I would be interested to see what you could do with some plants or weapons.
A great start to a Santharian artistic career. Lets see more.
