Okay...Question for Experts - What do you think  it should be based on?

Race?
Tribe?
Religion?
Classes - Peasant vs Nobility?

I can suggest things on a whole but I think it would be much more fun & challenging to do it more in depth....break it down to make it more fitting.....

Comments?

I have a tendency to go off on a tangent and not mean to sound pushy...Sorry if i offended....

I guess what i really want to know is: Who devolops these touchy areas like Courting & Marriage & well,:o  Mating?

I don't think it is really that complicated...Like Elves for example.

Attractive qualities: long, silken, light colored hair; large vividly-colored eyes; skin of a nearly translucent fairness; a tall and slender build; ears that taper to a graceful sweeping point. another tribe thinks that education, magical talent, wealth, and family status. And another thinks athletic ability and skills such as hunting, woodslore, or crafting are important.

Sex: Premarital sex is expected and condoned, especially between betrothed couples.Elves reach physical maturity in their twenties, but are not considered of legal, marriageable age until they reach 40. They can successfully interbreed with humans, the result being elfkin, but most elves find humans too heavy, hairy, and plain to be attractive not to mention being incredibly short-lived; by the time you get to know them, they're gotten old and died. Halfbreeds (in some tribes) are generally considered to be abominations, a source of shame to their parents, and best drowned at birth. Though others do not share the taboo & marriage between human and elf is common in their land.

It is only considered bad form to have a child with someone other than one's husband or wife. Given the low birth rate among elves as well as the availability of magical contraception, illegitimate children don't often happen.A couple might have two or three children spaced out over a period of a few hundred years. Siblings are rarely close in age, sometimes generations apart.

A lot of this is paraphrased and I can go into more depth or I can go into Marriage and ceremony if you would like....

I know this may seem weird but i think its maybe needed...What about marriage?  There seems to be no rules about courting and marriage...Does it not happen? There are plenty of races and most if not all seem to have an entry about reproduction but surely there are some that frown upon this without vows?

Do tell me to be quiet if you all feel this to be rather silly...Or if i am wrong point me in the right direction....

Name: Nyx-Flaloe pronounced: Nicks-Fla-low

Catergory: Edible

Basic Overview:  Grows wild, favours heat but can be found in colder areas. Retains more water when in hot conditions.

Description: Has 3 stages of Life cycle.  In the early stages: Looks like a spongy, spikey ball, growing above ground getting bigger & bigger until Maturity is reached at approx 2-3 months (depending on weather, grows faster in warmer conditions). Mature Plant stands about 1 ped in height & devolops long, thick, fibrous, spongy arms with spines along both edges. The third stage Reproduction, Plant grows small pink, fragrant flowers at each spine point which last about 1 week. As they start to die off a small seed pod starts to grow. The seed pod is half a Nailsbreadth(approx) and has a strong sweet, sickly smell. It it translucent & shaped similar to an egg. The pod lasts about 2-3 days as it hardens and crack to spill the seeds to spread on the wind.

Territory: Can be found most if not all places is it adaptable to different climates.

Usages: Remove outer skin & spines, dry out skin & fibres can be used for making rope and inside a juicy, sweet green edible flesh. Flowers are used for personnal hygiene (Like we would use perfume), seed pods are used for flavouring sweets & cakes.
