31  Santharian World Development / Cosmology, Myths and Religions / Evil stars on: 17 October 2000, 04:19:00
In our universe, we have planets (you probably knew that :D ).

These planets can be visible on the night-sky.

Most of them are following a standard pattern that can be predicted, but there is one that seems to be totally unpredictable: mars. Because of the unpredictional behavior (and the red color) of mars, the ancient Egyptians and Greek and most other civilisations (all, as far as I know) associated him with war, epidemics, turmoil etc. Evil.

Maybe a nice idea to make such stars? They need not be planets, but they do move seeming randomly around the sky...

PS, Mars is the roman name of the Greek god Ares. God of war.
PS2, maybe two stars are a nicer thing, with them being in one line when an eclips occurs as a symbol that would end the world (said by a mythe).

I really "need" such a star for gnomish theology.

I admit my writing was a little wrongly written. I need a city, just a few years after Elving is rebuild.

The aforementioned city is situated at Dorania and the mentioned 4 magi live nearby THIS city.

(I admit that I should've checked my writing, but I edited it when half-written, resulting in the wrong meaning)

the rebuild of Elving. Need four (evil) magi living nearby.
The city is situated at the coast (probably two days traveling from the shore) in the Doronian Kingdom (or anywhere south at the trackless sea).

There must live humans. It must be a walled city (preferably a capital or something). Can that be arranged?

www.santharia.com/startup...nframe.htm

all unvisited links in form www.santharia.com/web_his...istory.htm are blue.

when my mouse is on top of these links, they indeed are pink, when they have been visited they get dark-grey (not a very readable color either).

Note: Xaron uses Mozilla/Netscape. What do IE-users see for colors? The same??

It was dark-blue. I think you would also see it hard with color-blindness (unless you can easily discern green and blue). Anyways, these were the colors in Mozilla/Netscape. In IE, these make-up-thingies of you may have kicked in and everything may look great :

Please recolor the 'blue links on green/black background'. They are unreadable.

Thanks.

Gone, swoesh, away! Aaaargh!

They ran away, escaped!!

Anyways, anyone who ever visited my site (hmm, lots'a question marks there, no-one knew I _had_ a site?!?, please contact me!)

PS, contact me at '(non-)santharian discussion'. Because the clock ticks, I have no time to check the other forums.

Gean, you are forgetting something: several millions of linux-users who simply can't use IE (IE runs only on windows, thank goodness, it's so buggy!)

Artimidor is wrong as well. Since when does Micro$oft decide what the standards in HTML are?! That is the task of w3c (www-consortium). If M$ wants a new feature, it should go to w3c to ask if it can be standard, but M$ is known not to keep standards.
If you build a web-page, conform w3c-specs, it will be viewable on every browser. And don't think that if Netscape will die, everyone uses IE: www.mozilla.org holds the source-code to mozilla (which matches netscape-browser for 99%). People already edit and that will continue even if there is no netscape anymore.

And Artimidor, we won't mind a few less nifty features on the site: the information is much more important!

39  Organization and General Discussions / Announcements and Web Design / Re: More Flash for Santharia on: 14 April 2001, 04:04:00
I don't have flash either. And I never will, because I don't want it. I hate flash, it's a waste of my connection-speed and I'll never design a site with flash-stuff.

41  Organization and General Discussions / Announcements and Web Design / Artimidor, that was very rude! on: 06 January 2001, 14:06:00
Artimidor, didn't you notice that this beggar can't walk? And still you tell him to run!?!
How very cruel you are. It's like saying to a blind man: "Can't you see where you're going!"

Really, I do not wish to speak to you until you appologise.:)

Yours,
Your conscience.

PS, I'd like you to listen to me more often.

(Since that day, Artimidor has lost the last bit of his humanity:lol )

42  Organization and General Discussions / Announcements and Web Design / Words of wisdom on: 05 January 2001, 09:09:00
A poor beggar, incapacitated to walk, pulls at Artimidors arm, speaking these words of wisdom:
"Artimidor, who are you adressing? All thine servants, filled with zeal, and thine friends, the world hasn't seen greater warriors since the beginning of time, have gone voting. Only I remain, for how could I go..?"

Artimidor turns away, realising that by ordering everyone to vote, he took away this poor mans last source of income... And even worse: he now needs to prepare his own meal! :lol

No music for Artimidor?

I have a laptop, with a 'broken' soundcard, all midi-files sound the same: like trees crashing down :(

I guess no-one is interested on how to use Gimp? Famous piece of drawing, used to enhance 'The Titanic' (the movie, not the ship:) )

Yeah, hotmail.

I hate Micro$oft, but avoiding hotmail was easy until recently... Micro is placing adverts and making commercials on t.v.!!! Aaaargh! How am I supposed to live nowadays?!?

Well, I hear they're still as unreliable and spamming as ever they were... Good times come into memory: my first linux-pc.
