Another spell orm me-this time no healing.

Frantic purification (Ecua spell level 8)

  Spell effect: When battling a squad of warriors who have an enchanter among them, the battle might soon be turned to the enemy’s favor with spells as strength or bloodlust. If the enemy mage also uses cripple spells on your own warriors, then winning is not an option. However, if this spell is used, you might still have a chance. If successful, it will dispel all magic currently in effect around the caster, also destroying any summoned creatures. Unfortunately, that includes your own magic, so caution is advised when using this spell.
  Another, and more important thing, this spell is not called “frantic” for nothing. Once the mage starts casting it, he cannot stop. If he is interrupted during the casting, then the spell fizzles, draining the mage of his energy, and usually causing him to go mad or die. Therefore, the spell is never used in battle unless there is no other choice.
  To go into technical detail, this spell uses the willpower of the casters mind to let his car’all practically “explode” in all directions, nullifying any magic it hits. That is why the spell is so dangerous-if the car’all does not return in one piece, or explodes wrongly because of interruption, then the caster will either lose his mind, or if the car’all doesn’t return at all, his life.

  Casting procedure: The mage raises his fists (or his staff) into the air, while shouting the formula. If the spell is successful, then an explosion of light will erupt form the caster, dispelling all magic it hits. If the spell fizzles for some reason, the caster is doomed. He will lose either his mind or his life.

  Magical formula: Ér’iuá’riás, ér’iuá’ámn: Dél, styrán’lenír (By my will, by my force: Magic, be gone!)

  Target: No particular target, this spell affects all it hits.

  Reagents: In fact, reagents are not required for this spell; however, anything that can increase the power of the mage or his concentration can be used.

  Magical school: Ecua

  Spell class: -

  Range: At the initiate level, about fifteen peds from the caster. This spell is quite unpredictable, however, Ximaxian mages use to say that the range increases with about five peds per level.

  Casting time: very short, about 5-10 seconds.

  Duration: No duration, one-time effect. The effect is permanent.

  Counter measures/Enhancing measures: There is no ways to counter this spell other than disrupt the mage during the casting. As this spell has a one-time permanent effect, it cannot really be enhanced. However, anything making he casters car’all stronger will increase the chances for success as well as the range of this spell.
